How to change the FOV

This guide will show you how to change the default, very narrow FOV in Cry of Fear.

First load into the game or start a new one and, once you gain control of your character, press the ~ button on your keyboard to open the console. (It might be on a different button if you're not using a US keyboard).
Then type in the following command:

cl_fovmultiplier X

where X is a value of your own choosing. As the name implies, you are going to multiply the default FOV value by a factor of X. A value of > 1 will increase the FOV while a value of < 1 will decrease it. Personally I've found 1.25 to be the sweet spot for me, but whether it will be a good choice for your setup depends on your monitor size, resolution, differences in perception etc. You should experiment to see which value works best for you.

I hope this helps some of you people who become nauseous when playing games with narrow FOVs for too long.

Hey, does anyone know the actual FOV values? It's a multiplier but I don't know what the base FOV actually is. Like if I wanted to play with 90 degree FOV or something.
