What? Shuu didn't do this?

You will know it when you see it, this problem is actually caused by the music file, it is a common problem in lots of "media center-like" program, they category the music by the music file's "inner tag" instead of "categorying by the folders".

In Hatoful Boyfriend's case, it's because the ost is made by a lots of different people, from different place (it is an indie game after all). The music file's inner tag are different, hence the steam music library will recognize them as different album.

Oh, and forgot that glitch music file name, it is another issue need to be solved... we just want a hatoful boyfriend soundtrack in one piece. <3
How to fix it?
As I mentioned, it is music file's problem, so we need do a bit of file editing... with "MP3Tag".

After you go to their website, download and intalled it, do as following:

1. Open the OST folder, if you are not sure the location, right click "Hatoful Boyfriend" in steam game library > Property > Local files > Browse local files.

2. Select all the music file (ctrl + A, or Shift with click ), Make sure all the music file share the same "Album" name (In HB: holiday star, it is), then change both "Track" and "Genre" into <blank>.

3. Ctrl + S to save the change then leave, the most diffucult part is over. (what?)

The last thing need to do, open your steam, on the top left, Steam > Setting > Music > Scan Now

Now you can have a clean looking steam music library! Happy Holiday!
How to fix the broken music title
Due to the popular deman(?), an extra section was added for fixing the annoying music title issue.

This chaos happens because the music composer naming their music file under different code system (Cause they are Japanese), so if we want to fix it we need manually convert them from "Japanese SJIS" to "Unicode".

Step 1:
Go to the NJStar website[www.njstar.com], copy/paste your file name, then click "Japanese SJIS to Unicode", you will got the true file name.

Step 2:
Now open mp3tag, edit the title one by one, you can convert the composer name as well if you like.

Remember re-scan your steam music library again to update the soundtrack!

So thats it, thanks Hato Moa and all the japanese free music resource website give us such wonderful soundtrack!
