Guide to Customizing the Sacred 2 Camera to Zoom Out Further

This guide will let you customize your setting so that you can Zoom your camera view Out further than those that the game allows.

NOTE:You will need to have the Windows setting on Show all Hidden Files and Folders.
1.Go to the folder: C:\Users\<YOUR_USER_NAME>\AppData\Local\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2
or (Windows XP) C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR_USER_NAME>\Local Settings\Application Data\Ascaron Entertainment\Sacred 2
2.Create a new Text Document File and label it optionsCustom.txt. (Easiest way to create a new Text Document is to Right Click in the folder-->New-->Text Document.)
3.Add the below code into the empty optionsCustom.txt file you just created and save it:

camera.behaviour = 0
camera.customsettings = 1
camera.cameraShake = 0

camera.cam1_trackdist_max = 2000
camera.cam1_trackdist_min = 140
camera.cam1_rotx_min = 0.05

camera.dng1_trackdist_max = 2000

Well now my zoom is screwed up and is always at a very low angle. I deleted the custom settings ant he problem persists.

When viewing at an angle clicking even several feet or so in front of the character they will head backwards

Does anyone know the setting to turn OFF the camera zoom when you are talking to someone or looking at your stash? I could really do without that.

I followed instructions as directed, but options still seem the same. Is there something I must do in game for the new options to be loaded?

in this game sacred 2 i'm dryad, looks like its nearest match as elf ranger in sacred1
and try to get better view in range. not possible at hills try to get a fix for better view.

there is a sound settings adjust already ingame then zoomed, but dont know if further away edit can fix this, or you made config error and only haer near sounds then zoomed as default

I found out what caused it, I changed adjustment from mixed by an accident, after switching it back everything works just fine
