Introduction
Hi there! My name is Blue :3 and I am simply here to give you some nice tips on the game know as Transformice. I am *currently* a level 61 mouse, my in-game name being Sirmadambloo, and have been playing for about 4 months now, and I must say I've gotten very addicted to this game and, along with the addiction, have gotten to know the game quite well, along with its community. So, believe me, I know how hard it can be to get any help with that lot! But, fear not, with this guide I shall be trying my very best to help you out! I will be focusing more on the Vanilla maps as this is my home, but I may touch upon other game modes and what-not, too.
Anyway, I think we should get started, don't you? :)
First Time Playing
Okay, to start with, we should talk about the very first time logging into the game and playing.
So, the first time you log in, you will look as follows;

The name you have given your account being above your head and, underneath that in smaller writing, will be what is called your Title. You will always start with the same Title of Little Mouse but don't worry if you don't like this Title or have Napoleon Complex, as you play through the game you will be given new titles depending on the amount of mice you have saved as Shaman, the amount of times you have gotten the cheese to the hole first, the amount of cheese you have collected overall, and you can even get Titles depending on different events in the game (e.g. Christmas, Easter, Halloween).

You will be greeted by a tutorial the first time you log in, also, which may make some of you think "Well, if there's a tutorial, then why are you making this you !#?*" and I shall answer that now - the tutorial is not the best at explaining the game in much detail. The tutorial will simply tell you the basic idea of the game, that being "Bring the cheese to the hole" and leaves it at that.
You can choose to play through this tutorial or to skip/quit it.

Now, after playing through the tutorial or quitting it, you will be moved into a random room where the true game begins. And you may feel a bit intimidated with the whole interface that the tutorial did not explain at all (sly dig is sly), which brings me onto my next section; interface.
The Games Interface

Whole Image
Now, to look at the whole picture and to dissect it a little to understand it a bit better. To start a picture of the whole interface;

Dissection
- Top Information Bar
Let's look at the top bar to start with. Here we have, in order from left to right, the style of map (represented by a grass block this round) and the creator of the map/name of the map, the timer for the map (with the time going down), the amount of Mice in the room, the name of the Shaman this round, and the name of the room you are in.

Chat Section
Next let's look at this big, brown, empty looking area. This is in fact the chat area but it also gives you updates on if you did or did not collect the cheese, if the server is going to have a restart, when you are Shaman and how much cheese was saved by the Shaman. (Right now it is full of "No cheese for you! ^_^" "Thanks to Younamemouse, we gathered 0 cheese" and "You're the Shaman! Help your disciples to get the cheese!" as I am dying from AFK...but no one needs to know that...)

Underneath the chat is another bar of options. Once again in order, going from left to right, we have; a heart and cheese symbol that I will come back to later ;), a box with [Room]: in to which is the chat box (the [.....] indicated where your message is going but I'll touch more on that later), a plus sign that will expand the chat-log, an arrow facing down with a bar under it that will scroll the chat all the way down, another arrow facing down without a bar that will move that chat down one line, and then one more arrow facing up that will move the chat up one line.

Taunts
To the right of the chat and up we have a picture of your mouse along with a grid of different taunts you can use. I will talk more about the picture of your mouse later. In order from left to right on the first row we have; dancing, laughing, crying, heart, anger. Then on the second row in order from left to right again we have; clapping, sleeping, face palming, sitting and confetti throwing.

Extra Options - Gloss Over
Underneath this we have another row of different options that we will go into more detail in a moment. For now in order from left to right these options include; the menu, different rooms, the forums, the cafe, in-game options and a help section. Pretty simple explanation right now but I promise I'll go into it more soon ;3

Shaman Board
Underneath this again we have a long list of all the names of all the mice currently in the room you are in. The way this lists works is with points, and the mouse with the highest points will be the next Shaman. You get points by getting the cheese to the hole and, thus, moving yourself up in the list.

Inventory & Leader Board
To the right still you will either have a box full of items you can use as Shaman or the items within your inventory and the leader board with the times of mice getting into the hole, the first mouse's time being yellow.

Extra Options - In-depth
Time to go back to the few bits I neglected earlier;

Menu
let's go from left to right again and start with the house icon.
This is the menu button. When clicking on this a whole array of options will pop up.

If you click on "Menu" again an interface full of all the different game modes, shop and map editor will pop open. We will come back to game modes and the shop later. To exit this interface click the "X" at the top right corner.

Room
Next we have the dots and lines icon which is the "Room" button. Once you click on this you'll be greeted by the room selection. Here you can choose the type of room you want to go into.
Forums
If we slide to the left (but don't take it back now y'all) we'll have a speech bubble icon that will take us to the games forums. The forums seem to have been neglected for a while, however.

Cafe
Once again if we go to the left (but don't put everything you own in a box to the left) we come to the "Cafe", the picture of the little tea cup (or coffee, whatever floats ya goat). This area acts as a mass discussion section for all Transformice players where you talk about certain topics that have been created.

In this cafe area you can comment on topics by scrolling down to the bottom of an on-going topic and typing up a message then Submitting it.

And, better yet, if the current Topics are too dull for you, you can start your own by clicking "Create a new topic" at the bottom of the list of current Topics. Then all you have to do is think of a Title and a starter Message to get your Topic rollin'.

Options
Next we have the gear picture, "Options" tab. This area is just where you can adjust some of the games settings.

Full Screen
Lastly, at the far right of the grid, we have the full screen option. This will just make your game go full screened.
Friends
Remember the heart and cheese sign I said I'd come back to? And the bit about the chat and messaging? You know, these bits?;

Adding Friends
Well, these three things tie into the games Tribe and Friends mechanics.
To begin; friends. While talking to the community you may find the rare gem through all of the swearing and name calling that you want to befriend. To do this, you simply click on their name and click on "Add to friendlist".

Private Messages
You can also send people private messages called "Whispers" in-game by clicking on the Whisper option when clicking on their name. After clicking this the chat box will be saying the persons name instead of "[Room] :".

Ignoring
You can also ignore people or report them if they are bullying you or hacking by clicking on their name again and clicking "Ignore or "Report".

Friends & Ignored List
After adding a friend they will be in your Friendlist which you can access by clicking on the heart symbol.

Here you can see all your friends and all the people you have ignored. The friendlist will tell you the room a friend is in and their gender (if they have given that information). The ignored list will just give you the name of the people you have ignored.

Removing Friends/Ignored
If you no longer want someone to be in your friendlist or your ignored list all you have to do is click the "X" by their name and they will no longer be your friend/be ignored.
Tribes
Now, to look at this bit;

The cheese icon.
This icon actually represents the Tribe mechanic in the game. This part is going to be needed to be explained in more detail than the Friends part (which is why it has its own section ;3) so stay with me!

Firstly, a tribe kind of acts like a Clan or Guild with the main use of them being to socialise with other players in the Tribe.

Making a Tribe
You can make your own Tribe by clicking the cheese icon and being greeted by this;

As it says, to create a Tribe you must pay 500 cheese. You get cheese (the in-game currency) by playing the game and brining cheese back to the hole. Also, after choosing the name you cannot change it, so make sure the name is exactly what you want!

After naming your Tribe and submitted your 500 cheese you will be greeted by this lovely image;

Dissecting -
Name & Members
I think it's time to do some more dissecting, don't you?
So, firstly, the name you have given your Tribe will be at the top of this new interface and under this we have a sub-heading of "Members". Here you can see all the members in your Tribe along with their Rank (which we will come to in a minute) and the room they are currently in. You can organise the way you look at this list by clicking "Sort by name" or "Sort by rank" and can choose to see the Disconnected members by clicking the small circle by this option.

Home - Greeting Message
To the left of this we have a bar with "Home", "Ranks" and "History Logs". Right now we shall look at the "Home" tab. Under this tab we have a box with "Greeting message" in it. This is where you can write the message to greet the members of your Tribe every time they log-in. You could write about up-coming events within your Tribe here also to inform members on what's going on within The Tribe.

After the Greeting Message is changed a message will pop up in the games chat that only members can see saying who has changed the messaged and what and the new message is;

Adding People
To add people to your Tribe you can Either click on individuals names and click "Invite" under the "Tribe" sub-heading, or you can manually type in someone's name when in the Tribe interface and clicking the "Recuite" button.

Tribe House - Gloss Over
Underneath the "Change the message" and "Recruit" options we have something that says "Tribe house code then a long string of numbers with "Change code" next to it. We shall come back to this.

Forum & Profile
Under this still we have "Enter into the tribe house", which we will also be coming back to, "Forum" and "Profile".

Forum
Clicking onto "Forum" will bring you to a forum page on the Atelier 801 website of your Tribe. Here you can look at the discussions going on within your Tribe as well as commenting...you know...like a forum...

Profile
Clicking on the "Profile" option instead will, once again, bring you to the Atelier 801 website of your Tribes profile. Here you will be able to see your Tribes logo, the name of your Tribe, your Tribes birthday, whether or not you are recruiting new members, and your current greeting message.

Ranks
Now, onto the next tab - The Ranks tab (told you I'd come back to it).
This tab shows the the different ranks you can give people in your Tribe. Once you click on a rank it will tell you the different abilities and power it will give to whomever has this rank.

Power
You can also modify the power you feel certain ranks do and do not deserve by clicking on the power and having it either disabled or enabled.

Renaming
If you've been keeping an eye on the last few pictures you may have noticed that by the name of the rank it says "Rename". Here you can rename the rank name to whatever you want!

Extra Ranks
The more eagle-eyed of you may have also noticed the "New Rank" option above the list of rank names. This simply adds a new rank to your Tribe that you get to name and then get to decide on the power that this rank has.

History
The last tab of "History logs" is just a log of all the activity within your Tribe.

If you don't want to go through all the trouble of managing a Tribe you can simply ask to join someone else's Tribe instead :)

Chat
Tribes can also do mass chat with eachother by using the command ./t in chat. This will send your message to everyone in your Tribe that is currently online, no matter what room theyre in.
Tribe Houses
Alrigthy, time to come back to these parts;

The good ol' Tribe House. A place to give your Tribe a place to all meet and hang out (I am not coll enough to say "hang out". God.). A place to give your Tribe character. A place to be creative. A place. T-that's really all it is... a place. Let's get started before I dig this hole too deep.

To get to your Tribe House you can click on the "Enter into the tribe house" button and this will being you to the default set Tribe House. One getting to your Tribe House your House will be set to the default setting.

Changing your Tribe House
If you find this House to be a bit too bland for your liking don't worry. There is a way to change the Tribe house.
The way in which you can change your Tribe House is by clicking the "Change code" button which will greet you with another box in which to put your new code into.

It's then time to go looking for a new code to use for your house! You can find these very easily by just typing into Google "Transformice Tribe House codes" or you could just use this link;
http://atelier801.com/topic?f=6&t=100317
Once you find the code you want all you do is type it in, or copy and paste it, into the box provided (keeping the @ sign).

Your current/new code will be displayed in yellow next to "Tribe House Code".

To start with your Tribe House will still be the same default house. To have it change to the one you have picked you have to refresh the area - which you can do by leaving your Tribe House, going to a random room, then coming back. Your new house will be set!

You can change your Tribe House whenever you wish :3

Making your own Tribe House
You can also create your own Tribe House's by clicking on the "Menu" button then clicking on "Map editor".

After fiddling around with the tools and objects provided and being happy with your final product all you have to do is hit "Save" and then "Export as a Tribe House". There is a catch, however, as you must have at least 1000 cheese in order to export a map.

Profiles
Yes, even this little game has a whole profile system, too. To get to your profile all you have to do is click on the small picture of your mouse.

Whole Profile
From here you can see a whole array of different bits and bobs that, at first glance, maybe be a bit confusing. Time to dissect again!

Dissection-
Mouse's Details
Firstly, at the top, we have the name of your mouse, and picture of your mouse along with whichever gender you decide to choose (or not choose).

Next, under this, we have in order going from the top down; your birthday, the name of your current Tribe, your current level, your current Title.

Shaman Stats
If we go down again we have a subheading of "Shaman". Here we are told the amount of mice we have saved overall. The different colours represent the different modes in Shaman in which you can play in; these modes being Normal Mode (green), Hard Mode (yellow), and Divine Mode (red). We shall be talking about this more in the "Shaman" section.
We also have a part called "Cheese personally gathered". This refers to at the end of a map, when Shaman, if you gather the cheese yourself and go into the hole yourself.

Mouse Stats
Then we have another sub-heading of "Mouse". Here we can see some of the stats on your mouse. "Cheese gathered first" refers to the amount of times you have gotten the cheese to the hole first, "Gathered cheese" refers to the overall cheese you have gathered, and "Bootcamp" refers to the amount of Bootcamp maps you have completed (bringing cheese back to the hole). Bootcamp is a game mode that we will come back to.

Badges
Under this we come to a part of the collect-athon mechanic within the game. Badges are an item within the game that you can unlock in a wide variety of different ways and they tie into the different events that the game brings fourth. "Unlocked badges" is where all the badges you have unlocked can be shown off to the games community. There is currently one badge already in this section for Younamemouse as this badge is unlocked when you play Transformice on Steam.

Racing Stats
Down again (I feel "down" and "under" are going to become a running theme here...) we come to a lot more stats to do with different game modes. We *will* come back to these in another section I promise :£. Firstly let's look at the "Racing" section; "Rounds played" means the amount of rounds in racing you have played overall. "Completed rounds" means the amount of rounds you have completed on racing before the the timer has run out. "Number of podiums" means the amount of times you have come either first, second, or third on a racing map, and "Number of firsts" just means the amount of times you've come first on the racing maps.
To start with the picture under each subheading will be greyed out; as you get more stats on each section the picture will start to get coloured in.
If you look at the far right of each picture there is a square with another picture. This is actually a badge you can collect once you have completed/coloured the long picture.

Survivour Stats
If we fall down again we come to another section about another game mode - this time the mode being "Survivor". We have a close layout to the racing mode but not quite the same. The "Rounds played" subheading means the exact same as that for racing. The "Number of times Shaman" refers to the amount of times you have been the Shaman in this game mode. "Killed mice" refers to the amount of mice you have killed while Shaman in this mode. "Rounds survived" refers to the amount of times you have stayed alive til the timer runs out on this mode.
We then have the same theme of the picture being coloured the more you play this game mode. Once again the square pictures at the far right of the greyed/coloured picture is a badge you can obtain after completeing the picture.

Titles
Finally, if we go all the way down (doooown dooown to the bottom of the sea) we have the "Unlocked titles" section. Here is where all the titles you have unlocked throughout the game are.

Others Profiles
You can also see how your profile stacks up against your friend's and other mice's profiles. To check others profile all you have to do is click on their name and then either click on "Profile" under the sub-heading of their name, or click on "Profile" under the "Forum" sub-heading.

In-game Profile
Clicking on "Profile" under the sub-heading of their name will bring you to the same interface as we've just gone over;

Forum Profile
If you decide to click on their "Profile" under the "Forum" sub-heading will bring you to the Atelier 801 website again and here you can see a mouse's profile but in a forum style instead. The forum profiles will also usually be more personalised by that specific mouse.

Shaman
There will come a time when you are the Shaman. When this time comes you may be very confused as to what to do. So, instead of cannon-balling everyone and randomly spawning in a ton of balloons why not have a read of this instead?

To start, when you are Shaman, you will look like this;

As the Shaman it is your duty to build for your disciples as to help them get to the cheese and to get it into the hole. This also helps you as you will get saves - which will give you experience and help you level up.

To build/spawn thing in all you need to do is click on an item in the grid of items provided and to keep the mouse button held down until the bar under your mouse is full. When this bar is full it means the items has been spawned in.

Nails
When spawning in items you can add nails to them to give them stability. How to get nails is by hitting either the "C", "B", "V", "N", or "J" keys on your keyboard.

The "B" nail is a red nail and can only be used on the two boards and the balloon.

This nail will also be unstable and spin/turn unless it has a solid platform under it, or has another "B" nail board on it. The platform under the board does not have to be 100% under the board, but as long as the red dot (the nail) is against the platform, along with at least one of the halfs, then you should be fine.

The "C" nail is a green nail that can only be attached to existing pieces of wood or items. The wood/item does not have to be spawned in by you, however.

This nail can be used on; the balloon, the small box, the large box, the anvil, the short board, the long board, the beach ball, the trampoline, all three cannons, and the companion crate.

With some objects the placement of the "C" nail can be moved. For example; with one of the boards - the nail can move from the left, to the middle, to the right. To move the placement of the nail all you have to do is continue to hit the "C" key on your keyboard until it is in the place you want.

The "V" nail is a blue coloured nail that can, too, only be attached to existing items/wood (either spawned by you or not).

This nail can be attached to; the balloon, the small box, the large box, the anvil, the short board, the long board, the beach ball, the trampoline, all three cannons, and the companion crate (the exact same as the "C" nail).

The "V" nail is an unstable nail; meaning it will move with the object that it is attached to. This can make it rather difficult to work with.

The "V" nail works like the "C" nail in the sense that it's placement can be moved on different items, also. As example this time - the big box. The nail can be moved from the left, to the middle, to the right. To move the nail, you do the same as you do for the "C" nail.

The "N" and "J" nails work the same but go in different directions. These nails will rotate around in a circle continuously. The "N" nail rotates clockwise and the "J" nail rotates counter-clockwise. They must be attached to another item in order to work.a

The "N" and "J" nails can be used on; the balloon, the small box, the big box, the short board, the long board, the beach ball, the three cannonballs, and the companion crate.

These two nails can also have their placement moved just like the "C" and "V" nails on some items.

Transparentcy
Another useful part of building is making items invisible/ghost. To do this all you have to do is click on your item and then hit the space bar. The item will then look clear/blue/ghostly and you place it as normal.

All items except the arrow and the spark can be made ghost.

When an item is ghost it will not interact with the players but only other objects that've been placed. This can be useful for building and stabalising.

Double Shaman
On some maps there will be two Shamans. One will be pink, the other will be blue.

On these maps there will be two mouse holes - one pink and one blue. The colour of your Shaman will determin which hole is yours.

Be careful on these maps as sometimes you'll get a greedy Shaman that'll try and kill you as to get all the saves themself. So, be paying attention and act sharp.

Spawning
As Shaman you will have a blue circle around you that determins the range in which you can spawn things in.
Shaman Pt.II
Let's have a quick little run down on each item in your Shamans inventory;

Run-down on each Item

Arrow
- This is the arrow. It can be used for either simply pointing mice in a certain direction or can be used for adding extra nails to a build.

Spark
- This is the spark. This can be used to propel mice to cheese or to the mouse hole or can be used as an added boost when jumping.

Balloon
- This is the balloon. This can be used for lifting platforms and mice can use it to get to higher places. Be careful as balloons can burst if too much weight is put on them.

Spirit
- This is the spirit. This can be used either to help a build with keeping a board held up or, if you hit the space bar before placing it, ir can be used to move a mouse.

Boxes
- These two are the boxes, one big one small. These are important for building especially if you're in Divine mode.

Anchor
- Here we have the anchor. The anchor is typically used to weight builds down and is needed most for those playing the Divine mode than any other. It can also be used to burst balloons on water maps.

Planks
- These two planks are very important for your build as Shaman. You will need them to make platforms and to make a main basis for your build. You will also need them to attach other objects to them and thus to keep these objects stable.

Beach Ball
- The beach ball can be used as a trampoline almost. It can be used to help mice get to higher places when bounced on.

Trampoline
- Speaking of trampolines, here is an actual trampoline. It does what a trampoline does. What do you want from me? I'm a simple (wo)man.

Cannon Balls
- These three are typically a troll item and used in Shaman fights in double Shaman maps. They can be used to propel mice to cheese/the hole but more often than not are used as middle finger.

Ice Cube
- This is used to kill a mouse instantly, by putting thme into an ice cube. Once again quite a trolly item.

Portals
- these work just like the portals in Portal. They teleport you from one area to the next, thought it doesnt matter which colour you put down first.

Shaman Pt.III
The last part on Shamming for now - the different modes.
When Shaman there are three different modes in which you can play as; normal, hard, and divine. You will always first start off with normal mode when playing the game for the first time.

Normal Mode
In normal mode your mouse will have one bead on its tail and one big blue feather.
In this mode you can use as many of each nail as you want, making builds relativly easy.

Hard Mode
You will get the option to change your Shaman difficulty once you have saved 1,000 mice in normal mode. Once you have done this, a blue feather icon will appear next to your taunts.

You click on the feather and get an array of options.

Click on "Hard mode" to switch your mode to hard.

You can also change your colour by clicking on the coloured square by your mouse. Or, you can just just in the pantone that you want. Once you're happy with the colour you've got hit "Submit" and it'll save.

In hard mode you can not use the "B" nail manually. Instead, you can create a Totem where you can use a single "B" nail. You must then rely on the other nails; "C", "V", "N", and "J".
To make your totem all you have to do is hit the "Edit your Totem" button in the Shaman interface and then get to work.

Once you're happy with your totem hit the "Save" button.

When Shaman you will see in your inventory a pink coloured feather that you can spawn in. If you spawn this in you will be spawning in your Totem.

When in hard mode you mouse will have larger feathers on its head and two beads instead of one.

Divine Mode

To get Divine mode you have to save 5,000 mice in normal mode and 1,000 mice in hard mode. To get to this new mode you do the same process as above with hard mode.

With Devine mode all you can use are the "V" nails, which can make building very tricky. What makes up for this, though, is that when in Divine mode you don't have a limited area of building (the blue circle) so you can just sit at spawn as you build.

Leveling Up
You get experience in the game by both saving mice when Shaman and by bringing the cheese back to the hole. You get 5XP per mouse when saving them as Shaman and you get 10XP every time you bring the cheese back to the hole.

Whenever you get XP you'll see this, which tells you how far you have to go until you're the next level;

Once you fill the bar and get to the next level there will be this at the bottom of your screen on the left corner;

Skill Trees
These are actually points that you can use to give you special ability. Click on the point and it'll bring you to a new menu of levelling up.

There are 5 different areas that you can work in, but only three are shown to you to start with. After you level all the one up one of these "trees" the other two will appear.

Wind Master
The most useful Tree to build up first would probably be the Wind Master one. This is mainly for the ability at the top of the tree that allows you to fly, which is very useful when building. However, it is a *very* bad idea to invest in the bubbles ability at the very bottom. This is because people that rush will likely try and use them, fall to their death, resulting in you losing saves and XP.

Spiritual Guide
The next best area to work at is probably the Spiritual Guide tree. This is mainly due to the different teleportation abilities and the spring ability, which is very useful on bomb maps.

Physicist
Next we have the Physicist tree. I'd say this trees abilities are there for the more technical of you, the ones that know what they're doing in a map and want to speed things along a bit. This area is most useful for its long plank ability, I'd say, as well as it's nail ability.

Mechanician
This tree revolves around making objects heavier and lighter. The most useful part of this would be, I'd say, the removing an object and increasing the summoning range abilities.

Wildling
Finally we have the Wildling tree. This tree has a lot of silly abilities, with its top ability turning you into a cat. This tree is really here to add more fun into a game that can get very competitive at times. The increasing of summoning speed, however, is a very useful ability to have.

{h1}Redistributing[/h1]
You can always rearrange the order that you've spent your points by clicking on menu, going to the "skills" subheading, and clicking "Redistribute". It will cost you about 50 cheese to do this, though, so be careful!
Game Modes
There are several different game modes in Transformice, all with their own rules.

To get to the different game modes all you have to do is either click on the "Menu" or "Room" tabs and be greeted with two different interfaces. I think it's easier to go through the "Room" tab but I'll touch on the Menu way anyway.

Menu
To get to the game modes through the menu you simply click on the menu button then click on the menu subheading. This will bring you to this another new interface;
(anyone else getting déjà vu?)
Here we can see different area in the game that we can access easily, along with some game modes; Vanilla, Bootcamp, Normal, Survivor and Racing. To get to each mode all you do is click on the picture/title of the mode and it'll transport you to a random room in that game mode.

Room
I prefer this way as you have more control over where you are and where you're going.
When you click on the "Room" button it'll being you to this interface;

Here we have all the different game modes and their rooms laid out in from of us. All we have to do is click on the mode that we want to play from the selection on the right;

And then click on the room we want to go in on the left;

Game Modes -

Transformice
The first mode that we're looking at is the Transformice game mode/the Normal Mode. This is where a collaboration of maps made by both administrators and the games players are put for the public to play. At the end of some of these maps there will be a tab at the bottom asking you if you enjoyed this map or not. These maps are just basic Transformice maps where the aim of the game is still just to get to cheese to the hole.

Vanilla
This is where I spend most of my time. The vanilla game mode is just an array of maps only made by administrators. The same idea of "get the cheese to the hole" idea runs here.These maps are the easier ones - which is why I like them so much! ;3

Survivor
Next we have the Survivor game mode. This mode is the objective of the game is different to what you may be used to. Here, Shaman will not be trying to help you, but be trying to kill you with cannon balls, sparks, anvils, anything they can get their grubby paws on! As a mouse you must try your best to stay alive during the rain of cannon balls and thunder of anvils.

Racing
The racing mode is literally what it's called - racing. You have to bring the cheese back to the hole as fast as you can, trying to be either first, second or third. There is no shaman in this
mode.

Music
Another game mode, kind of, is the music game mode. This is where you play Transfrmice themed levels but can have YouTube videos running on in the background, and even have the video play in the game.

Bootcamp
The bootcamp game mode is where you will practice your skills with wall jumping, getting corners of blocks, jumping and aiming. There are no Shamans here either. Each time you die you will re-spawn until the round is over and a new map comes on. No mice (or is it mouse?) have any accessories or clothing either.

Defilante
The defilante game mode focuses around speed, rhythm and percision. You run through a map hitting boosters and springs while trying to collect the most points as you do. There are also death buttons that you can hit that'll kill you. There are no Shamans here.

Module
The last game mode here is the Module game mode. The module mode is a cluster of many different mini games that have been created by the players of Transformice. I'm not going to go through every last mini game but when you join a game it *should* (and more often than not does) have instructions for he game.

Maps
I'm not gonna tall ya how to complete every map in under 10 seconds or whatever, but I will give you a heads-up on some of these maps as some are harder than others,

To Sham or Not to Sham
Some maps do and do not have a Shaman in them. You can tell which do and which do not by looking at the top bar at the top of your screen. Here it will either tell you "So-and-so" is Shaman or will just be blank.

Drawing Maps
Let's start with the map that confuses most players first - the Drawing map (as I like to call it. It probably has an official name but "Drawing Map" sounds so much more fun). With this map you will only have three items in your Shaman inventory; the arrow, the spark, and a blue block looking thing.

The blue block is what you want to use here.

What you do is you click on the block, hold it down and drag. This will then draw you a path. You've gotta move along with the path, though, otherwise you'll be trying to draw outside of your summoning circle. After a while the path will start to disappear so be quick while drawing so that you don't fall to your death! A good ability to help you here is the flying/wings ability at the top of Wind Master.

Thief Maps
Some maps will be maps where the Shaman has stolen the cheese. When Shaman on these maps all you really need to do is either move to the mice or sit still. Or you can kill yourself and troll everyone and make a mass argument start in chat about how you're a complete nub (I don't advise this) or you can run around and lead the mice on a chase.

When you're just a mouse on these maps you need to try and get the cheese from the Shaman as fast as you can as after a certain amount of mice have taken the cheese from the Shaman the Shaman will die and there will be no cheese left. So be fast!

Shoving Maps
Some maps mice won't be invisible to one and other and will be able to shove each other to their death if they want to. The best plan for these maps is to get on top of all the other mice or to generally just get to high ground.

Bomb Maps
Other maps will have a buggerton of bombs spawn and come flying at you. With these maps you can either try and get on top of a bomb and have it blow you up and try and aim for the cheese or you can run away from the bombs and have the Shaman build for you. However, some bomb maps won't have a Shaman on them so you just have to be careful when working with or around the bombs.

Bridge Maps
The bridge maps some times do and sometimes don't have a Shaman. The important part to point out on these maps is that weight can break a bridge. So be careful when travelling across it. A helpful tip on these maps for Shamans is to put ghost balloons under the bridge.

Anti-Gravity
This map will have the gravity of the map turn off after a few seconds. As Shaman you've got to build as fast as you to save the mice from flying off into orbit.

Cannon Map
One of the few uses for the cannon ball (except trolling) would be this map. Here if you aim that cannon at the bottom half of the grass block it will tilt, helping the mice get across.

Beach Ball Map
With this map all you need to do is put beach balls in the shaft provided and it will make an explosion that will propel mice towards the cheese. I could've just said "put your balls in my shaft" but I don't think that would of gone down well.

Soul Mate Maps
With these maps you will be randomly attached to another mouse via a pink string. You must work together to get the cheese otherwise only one or none of you will get it!

Substances
Water
You've got to be careful with water as you will sink if you hold the down key long enough and then die. You will also sink if you have collected cheese and have no platform to stand on.

Sand
With maps that have a sand floor it's best to be careful as there is usually a dip of doom for you to fall into.

Purple/Bouncy
The purple looking bouncy thing acts like a trampoline and is used to get to higher places whenbounced on.

Chocolate
The chocolate planks and maps (the brown coloured stuff ;3) are very sticky and make wall jumping a very easy task. However, when trying to run along a plank of it you have to jump in order to move forward.

Ice
Ice in the game is, as you would suspect, slippery. If you stand still on a peace of ice you will slowly start to drift off the edge.

Lava
The lava maps are very bouncy (I guess the bounce is meant to show heat? Like you step on it and the heat throws you off? Anyway), so bouncy in fact that you'll die if you jump on it *unless* you keep the up key (either "W" or the up arrow) held just right after you hit the lava and keep it down. This will prevent you from flying off and keep your bounce a little more stable.
Rooms
Room Maximum
Sometimes rooms will have a number/number next to them. This determies how many mice are allowed in that room at its max.

If a room gets to 50+ mice every mice (or mouse again?) will lose their clothing/accessories. You will then have a room of "naked" mice running around. Which is rather cute.

Mods
Sometimes a room's name will be coloured.

This happens because a mod has set up the room. And sometimes when Moderators set up rooms things go a little, erm, crazy;

Your Own Room
You can make your own room at any time in any mode by typing in chat; /room vanilla/transformice/survivor/racing/bootcamp/music [name/number]
Shop
Currency
There are two currencys in the game. One being cheese the other being Fraises.
You get the cheese currency by playing the game and collecting in-game cheese. The more cheese you have = the more money you have. (lol 69) (lol im a child)
You get Fraises by buying them in the game. To do this you click on the menu button and then the shop tab.

After doing that click on the "Buy Fraises" button under the amount of cheese you have.

And then you just go through with the PayPal what-not and buy your pixels.

Shop
Anyway, back to the shop. Doing the same as above to get the the shop (menu -> shop tab) you'll arrive at the shop interface.

To the left we have sub-categories to make shopping easier for us.

And then next to this on the right we can see the area that we've clicked on and see everything we can (or can not) buy.

Gift
You can also gift things to people if you're feeling generous but only if you're feeling generous enough to pay with real money as gifting only works when you buy Fraises.

Anyway, to do this you just need to click on the "Gift" button next to the "Buy Fraises" button and everythings price will be converted into Fraises.

Wall Jumping
When it comes to Wall Jumping a lot of practice is needed. When you start a wall jump you want to be running at a wall, leaving yourself enough space to jump into the wall. Oce you jump into the wall you're going to want to very quckly move away from the wall but then you're going to need to jump and then very quickly run back to the wall and start the process over again.

When wall jumping to the right you will want to go; jump, (hit wall) left, right, jump (hit wall), left, right, jump (hit wall), left, right and so on.

When wall jumping to the left you will want to go; jump (hit the wall), right, left, jump (hit the wall), right, left, jump (hit the wall), right, left and so on.

Wall jumping is all about practice and speed when using the up, left and right keys. When you are trying to wall jump you should have a nice steady flow as you type, helping to keep in good rhythm.

Difficulties
Wall jumping is harder when you are carrying cheese. This is because cheese makes your mouse heavier - it weights you down, so you will move slower and fall faster.
You also can not wall jump on up-right ice.
Events
Every now and then (though I believe it's becoming weekly after the New Year) there will be an event. These events usually have something to do with if there is a real life event; Christmas, Easter, Halloween. But, they won't always revolve around this.

What events bring with them are maps that are themed like the event, along with items that you can collect.

Items
Items in the game are used for collections or for trading. Depending on the event will determine how you get the items. Currently, with the Christmas event, you will get items by collecting presents on the event map.

After collecting items you hit the "I" key or go to Menu and click on "inventory" and you will see all the items you have collected.

What you can do with your items is either use them or trade them. To use them you have have to open your inventory and then click on the item that you wish to use and then click on "use".

Trading
Trading is used to gain items that you don't already have because you A.) missed the event or B.) don't feel like playing the game for 20 days straight.

To trade you can click on a persons name and then click on the "Trade" subheading.

If your trade request is accepted you will go onto this;

Here you can choose out of your inventory what you want to trade. The other party will do the same. Once you've both settles on what you want to trade the "Submit" box in between your two trades will be lit up - you have to click on it to have your side of the trade set. Both parties must have this button hit before the trade will be completed. If you get someone that wants to cheat you out of your items by removing their own just as you hit the submit button the button will be disabled and stop the trade.

If someone does not accept your trade request the game will give you a pop-up informing you.

If someone send you a request you can either "Agree", "Cancel" or "Ignore". Agreeing will bring the trading interface up. Cancelling will inform the other person that you do not want to trade. Ignoring will ass the player to your ignored list if they spam you with trade requests.
Build Ideas
Here will just be a list of some build ideas that you can try yourself, though I'll be focusing more on the Normal Shaman mode and the Vanilla rooms.
In-game Lingo ;3
Just a small section;

Sham/Shammy = Shaman

Shamming = Building when Shaman

Build = What you make as Shaman

Nub/Noob = Insults

First = Getting to the hole first

GJ (said after a map) = Is aimed at the mouse that got the first that round

TFM = Transformice

[Item/Number] for [Item/Number] = Trade request

AJ = Animal Jam

Ping = Your ping. Good ping is usually between 10 - 30 but up to 100 is bearable as is 500 but you won't be getting on the leader board with whatyou think you should be getting.

Rev/Revive = A skill you can buy as Shaman that will bring dead mice back to life.

Pink = Refers to the Pink Shaman on a double Shaman map.

Blue = Refers to the Blue Shaman when on a double Shaman map.

Souris = A guest account.

Saves = The amount of mice that have gone into the mouse hole.

Stat Pad/Padder(s)/Padding/ = A player that will only go into the mouse hole if they will get a first. Padding their profiles stats having the same amount of rounds played as firsts.
Tips and Tricks
A small selection of tips and tricks from the game.

Balloons
Balloons can almost always save you on a map. The best way to use them when needing to get to a high place is by attaching each mouse to a ghost balloon via one of the nails. This will lift mice up and you can use the spark to aim them towards the cheese. Make sure not to move if you've been attached to a balloon as if you do the string attaching you to the balloon will break.

Souris
Souris are guest accounts and will have a " * " by their name. Guest accounts do not get saves so on double sham maps remember this.

Jump Glitch
If you quickly jump and then press the down (or "D") key you will glitch your jump so that you're stuck in a fixated position. Every time you jump like this your position may change. If you try and move forward without jumping first you will return to the normal mouse movement.

Fixated Moving
If you click on one of the taunts and then move forward as you do so you will move in that taunt.

Emoticon Faces
There is a nice little trick you can do in-game where faces will appear above your head. You may have seen mice do it before as it is a commonly used thing. You can have either; Happy, Sad, Toungue Out, Angry, Grinning, Sunglasses, Shy, Sheepish, Derpy and Surprised. How you get the faces is by hitting either the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 0 keys on your keyboard *not* in chat and different faces will appear. The picture below shows what faces belong to what keys;
