Intro
After playing this game for a bit I wanted to find out what kind of weapons and staves were available in the game. There were no other guides and the wikia was empty. I decided to make my own guide.

This guide is incomplete. There will be items missing and some of the information is wrong. Everything is based on my experiences with the game. I don't know any of the official names for things. I assumed that red is fire, blue is ice, and green is acid. I mean no disrespect and apologize if this is incorrect.

I have not made major changes since version 1.1.0, the January 2016 update, but have made edits based on the comments - thank you for pointing stuff out.

2021: I think there was a small update to the game after that, and now there's a sequel out. I fixed some of the grammar and spelling this year.
Hud Layout
Main Layout

In the top left is your score count and your coin count.

In the top right is your crystal count. The numbers below indicate how many crystals your staff will consume when you use it. In this case the ice staff will use up 2 blue crystals.

In the bottom left is your artifact, health, and mind stats. The artifact can be activated by pressing Q. If it has a cooldown it will appear here.

In the bottom right are boxes showing your current staff and weapon.

Inventory Layout
Opening the inventory pauses the game and gives you time to change your staff or weapon.

The 6 numbered slots correspond to the number keys on your keyboard. If you press the hotkey for a weapon or a staff, it will switch out with your current weapon. Personally I like to keep a few potions up here.

At the bottom are six slots for your staff, weapon, artifact, amulet, and two rings.

For the Full Equipment achievement you need to fill the 6 slots on the bottom with their respective items. This can be hard to do because rings and amulets are rare.
Map Layout
The map is your friend. All foreground items, whether you can destroy them or not, will appear as walls on the map (crates, rocks). Wells are decorative.

Green marks unopened doors.
Purple marks the exit door.
Blue marks altars, chests, portals, towers, and the grinder.
Brown marks crates. They dissappear after you open them.

Things to Look Out For
In 3-4 watch out for the green poison coming out of the ground. It will poison you.
In 5-6 watch out for the green "souls" coming out of the ground. They cause damage.
In 7-8 watch out for the fire coming out of the ground. It does damage - there is no burn effect.

Levels
The game has 8 levels and a final sequence after that. Each level has a boss room which can spawn anywhere on the map.
Secrets
Occasionally secret doors can appear on a level. When approached you can open them and find an item inside, including weapons, staves, rings, or amulets.

Some levels have no secrets while others can have as many as 4. (This is from my personal experience, there could be more).

In the earlier levels (1-4) they tend to occur in hallways that appear to be dead ends, although they can appear in the middle of a wall.

All secret doors in each area have the same texture:

Levels 1 and 2
These doors are slighlty darker than the surrounding walls. They will not have cobwebs on them.

Levels 3 and 4
These doors are also darker than the surroundings. They are harder to notice.

Levels 5 and 6
These doors have a "button" in the middle. They should be easy to spot because none of the other wall textures have a button on them.

Levels 7 and 8
These doors are red and also have a button in the middle.
Weapons
Weapons vary and have different stats. Some weapons are basic and only do melee damage. Others do additional elemental damage. They can be obatined in many ways - you can buy them in shops, find them in secret rooms, get them from bosses, and so on.

There are 4 types of weapons, Daggers, Swords, Axes, and Spears. Daggers and Swords attack fairly quickly, while Axes and Spears take a longer amount of time. Axes push some enemies back slightly while Spears push them back even further.

The #-# is the range of mele damage a weapon can do. (For example, 1-1 means that the iron dagger will always do 1 damage, while 1-3 means that the iron axe can do between 1 and 3 damage). Some weapons do extra elemental damage, which will make a number show up next to one of the symbols. Special effects, such as poison, will appear below the stats.

In the first 2 levels there are weapons racks (right) which have a 50% chance of dropping an Iron Sword. This does twice as much damage as the starting dagger.

Miscellaneous
Potions
Potions are used for restoring stats. Some have an immediate effect, others do not.

Health Potion - Immediately restores 5 health. Red Color.

Greater Health Potion - Immediately restores 10 health.

Regeneration Potion - Gradually restores 6 health. Purple Color.

Greater Regeneration Potion - Gradually restores 12 health.

Mind Potion - Immediately restores 20 Mind Points. Yellow Color.

Greater Mind Potion - Immediately restores 40 Mind points.

Poison Potion - Poisons the player. (Useful with the snake artifacts, as well as to get that one achievement). Grey/Black Color.

Antidote Potion - Removes the poison effect from the player. Green Color.

Unknown Potion - Has a random effect. Rainbow Color.

Life Potion - Full health and Mind Restore. Removes poisoning effect. Rare find.

Altars

Altars are places where you can increase your stats. They appear once per level and alternate between health and mind altars. Eventually you can encounter the altar of ressurection as well as one of the others.

The Altar of Health
Increases max health by 2.

The Altar of Mind
Increase max mind points by 10.

The Altar of Ressurection(?)
Gives you a ressurrection effect (which appears above the artifact icon). When you are about to die you get teleported back to the start of that floor and receive some of your health back (possibly half).

Towers

Occasionally you can an encounter a tower/vending machine/dispenser thing. You use coins to buy health, mind points, or crystals, depending on the tower type.

On the right is the tower for health, below for mind points, and in the corner for crystals.

Shops

Shops generally occur later on in the game (levels 4+). All types of items are sold here except artifacts. Weapons and staves are common while rings are more rare. Items cost 3-5 coins each.

I recommend buying unfamiliar weapons because these are usually stronger or have interesting effects like poison. Definitely buy rings or amulets. Unfamiliar staves are a gamble - some have useful effects while others do not.

Insanity
Falling below 18(?) mind points makes you go "insane". You start to see purple monsters, which do a lot of damage, as well as crates that were not there before. Destroying enemies or background objects brings your mind points back up, as do potions.

Grinders
Grinders are background objects that you can throw items into in order to get some crystals back. Low tier items give 5 crystals of a random type, but some of the rarer staves can give as many as 25. I have to open the inventory and drag the item I want to sacrifice to the side, this way the item will fall into the grinder.

Poison
  • You can become poisoned from the ground, from the poison potion, or from enemies' attacks.
  • Poison from the ground does 3 damage.
  • Poison from the potion of poison does 5 damage.
  • Poison wears off after it hurts you, or you can use an antidote potion to stop it.
Portals
Portals appear once per level, but not on every level. They spawn in a vine-covered room without any monsters, although monsters can come in from adjacent rooms.

Portals can only be used once, so make sure to collect everything in the portal room before you leave. Each room should have one artifact.

If you have the ressurection effect and die in a portal room you are teleported back to the real world. (In this situation the game still thinks you are in the portal room because it won't let you access the map. This is probably a bug).

General Advice
Be cautious. Sometimes when you enter the room monsters wiill attack you. There are two varieties. The first kind walks toward you and does mele damage. The second is a plant that shoots purple stuff at you.

If you are in a room with multiple doors or passages chances are that one of the doors will have a monster behind it. The other paths have coins, an artifact, or are empty.

Be careful around spikes - time your movements and make sure you are not going to run into a tree on the other side. Tress count as background blocks and you can't pass through them.

Watch out for sections of the wall where purple stuff flies out. Time your movements through these as well.

Example Room
One room has 10 coins spread around a large pillar.
Artifacts
Artifacts are Items you can find only in portal rooms. Once eqipped they appear in the corner of your screen and can be activated with Q.

Artifacts use mind points and the amount needed appears in parentheses next to your mind point count. Some artifacts use up mind points every second. They usually have a cooldown.

Falling below 18 mind points makes you go insane. Be careful.

There's actually an amulet you missed. I don't quite remember what it was called like, but it increased movement speed by giving an effect that's picture looked like a set of wings . The amulet looked like a skull on a cain , and its lore was: "gives the wearer more movement speed." , I think... (sorry for my english, in case it was bad)
