Working on a new Player Character

Cryptarium will be a roquelike dungeon crawler with random generated levels and action gameplay. We planned 5 to 6 levels with unique graphics, fierce enemies and deadly traps. There will be many items to loot, like weapons and armors.

  • tons of secrets, deadly traps and treasures to loot

Cryptarium will be a mix between the deep and hard action gameplay of the Dark Souls Series and the random generated levels and item use of Binding Of Isaac. You will have to find the vulnerabilities of all the different enemies and then find a tactic to destroy them. You can lure the enemy in traps, use a legendary weapon to crush them or use magic spells. It's all your choice.

The massive underworld of Cryptarium is procedurally generated from hand-crafted rooms that are filled with random enemies, treasures, traps, secret rooms, destroyable content, loot and so much more. Be surprised!

With each try the dungeon will be uniquely regenerated to give you a brand new challenge.

In Cryptarium you can use different weapons and shields to attack and pary the enemies. You can use a roll dodge in the right moment or use a magic scroll to influcence your opponent. Use your shield to block attacks but be sure always keeping an eye on your stamina.

The fantastic Unity3d 5.3 engine and the Playmaker visual scripting system are used for development. Just graphic artists who are working on this game :) !

We have our own very talented musician and composer on board that will make an unique soundtrack for Cryptarium. Some samples from his work are to be found here.

Just get the combat system right and every thing will be alright. :)

Hi Rackhim, vielen Dank :) wir geben uns Mühe! ein Datum für eine Testversion gibt es noch nicht. Ich gehe davon aus das wir noch ca. 2 Jahre Entwicklungszeit reinstecken müssen, da wir das Spiel ja in unserer Freizeit entwickeln.

I think it looks great, especially if you're a small team. I hate all the criticism from people. As a lone Indie Developer myself, I know how hard it is to pull this together. People expect Indie work to mimic a Triple A title with a team of 100 people working, and then complain when a game cost over $60+ dollars. Indies are small, lean, sometimes just one person. Indie games cost a lot less, but very often can be more fun to play than the large scale published titles. I think this looks awesome, you'll get my vote when you're ready.
