Where to RP
By The Safe and Sterile Bread-Tan
This guide will give you a list of places to RP with the pros and cons for both of them.
Note: Due to how the steam guide maker works the various parts look horrid and I am too lazy to fix it. You guys can figure out how to read it.

RenCen
If you needed me to tell you that RenCen and the ajoining park/campus is a great place to have RPs then you're beyond my help. Interesting fact, the Recog Building is called the "Greer Tower", named after one of the PnP creators.
Westside
Westside is essentially the ghetto of Millennium City. The most damaged during the "recent" Qulaar invasion, many parts of it is still ruined. (Though all of that is outside the map edge). Home to gangs, hobo colonies, and the city's prison, it's the roughest part of town where all the cool street level heroes with tough lives come from. Something to take into consideration, while Westside is home to a multitude of gangs and organized crime it's still comparatively peaceful compared to other city's bad neighborhoods. All the fires and gang violence happening in-game is due to a gang war incited by Kevin Poe.
Sherrera's
A maybe Irish dive bar/pool house located in Westside on the very edge of China Town. It is it's own indtance.

Pros
+Very easy to get to for all players.
+Occasionally has other players in it looking for casual RP
Cons
-If you're looking for an empty place for a group RP it's a better idea to choose somewhere else. Sher's can get quit full at times.
-It's sometimes like a mini-Caprice in terms of the type of people you can find.
Carl's Gym
Used as part of the fight club quest-line, Carl's gym is exactly that. A gym. It sports a locker room, training equipment, and the biggest plus in my book, a big 'ol boxing ring. Overlooking it all is some sort of viewing room. It's a good place for SGs to use as a training area or some friends to use for a friendly spar. It works as it's own instance

Pros
+Very easy to get to for all players.
Cons
-Normally devoid of other players.
-Can be a bit difficult to spot depending on your rendering distance due to the giant neon letters not rendering.
Underground Boxing Ring

It's... Carl's Gym but with Mobs instead of NPCs?
MCPD Armory
Not bothering with a map due to the fact that it's literally right behind Carl's Gym. Just circle around and head to the alley behind Carl's Gym and you'll find the entrance to the armory. As the name suggests this is the armory used by the MCPD. Specifically for the super powered neer-do-wells and as such it's decked out with tons of crazy, military grade weapons. It is it's own instance.
Pros
+Very easy to get to for all players.
+In the corner of the room is a computer you can interact with. It spawns and de-spawns all the NPCs in the room.
Cons
-Apparently people don't believe me half the time when I say it's there???
WCOC
The same one my husbando Foxbat takes over in that questline. Works as it's own instance.

Pros
+Very easy to get to for all players.
+Extra easy because one of Westside's spawning locations is right in front of the door.
+In the actual recording room are a number of devices that allow you to spawn and de-spawn the various NPCs
Leo's Bar
I guess I'm just... Punk rock... Leo's bar is a more punk-ish dive bar that sits right next to our good 'ol friend Burt Jackson.

Pros
+C'mon! There's a friggin' drum set! And those posters! Hnnnnng, punk!
Cons
-idk man it's a normal social instance now

Westside Highschool
Part of the actual Westside Map (And taking a good chunk of it actually), The Westside highschool is about two buildings, a football field, and an outdoor cafeteria seating area.

Pros
+Very easy to get to for all players.
+Being a part of the actual map, you'll probably won't need to worry about player limits.
+No mobs
+Nice for teen themed characters that for one reason or another you don't want a part of Ravenwood
+FOOTBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL!
Cons
-It's a highschool. 95% of the time your full grown adult shouldn't be here. Don't think about it bruh.
-Those dancing teens get hella annoying after awhile.
Martial Dojo
Originally removed on the Alert update, it's been added back. A left over from the old crafting system, this is one of the old arms crafting buildings specializing in martial arts. Ignore the random nerds in the screenshot.

Pros
+Now everyone can go kung-fu fighting without going to Vibora!

Mutations Lab
Didn't think this building was ever enterable, eh? A leftover from the old crafting system that was taken on on the Alert update and recently placed back in. Pool party bro.

Pros
+Finally! Something for science characters that actually look science-y!
City Center
City Center is the... Center of the city. Maybe not geographically but it is where City Hall is. It's a more well maintained part of down that's home to many businesses. Both big and small.
City Hall
The City Center is obviously home to City Hall. Hence the name. It's also one of the only instanced area to RP with in this area. No map because god help you if you can't find the building that takes up 15% of the entire area, has multiple quests taking place there including an alert, has an open mission literally across the street, and has it's own giant stamp on the map.

Pros
+Offices for all your office needs.
+Has a court room. LEGAL SHENNANIGANS!
+Seriously if you can't find this, god help you.
Workshop
One of the leftovers from the old crafting system. It operates as it's own instance. Remember folks, it's across the street from where all those people are on fire!

Pros
+Empty center room, works well as a meeting area.
+Has some fun as hell "slides".
Cons
-It works a little too well. Groups tend to use it semi-often.
-Mobs like to stand near the door.
Foods
An outdoor area on the map with several dining establishments with outdoor seating.

Pros
+Food bro. RP dates or whatever I dunno.
Cons
-Pretty damn hidden
-There's that one mob that walks through the middle of it.
This Alley Thing (And the General Area)
Up in the northern part of City Center by the Onslaught vendor is an empty alley surrounded by a semi-empty area.
Pros
+It's pretty empty and stuff.
+It doesn't look as ♥♥♥♥♥♥ as Westside???
+Pretty wide space.
Cons
-Onslaught villains might suddenly appear???
-Some areas do have mobs. And stuff.
This Other Alley Thing
Another alley to use. Smaller than the others I list but has a nice design to it.
Another Got Dang Alley
Alley with stairwells that lead in and out on both ends.
Downtown
Downtown is the skyscraper filled section of Millennium City. It houses some of the largest business both in Millennium City and the world. (Such as Harmon Labs, wink wink nudge nudge) It's also got a nightclub no one can go in.
Magic Foundry
An old foundry used to craft magical items.

Pros
+It's a spawning location so it's always easy to get to
+Works well as a meeting area.
Magic Lantern Bookstore
The old book store/arcana store. No map because it's in the same area as the Magic Foundry. Where? Look at the foundry door, now turn around. You're there!
Pros
+A bookstore without mobs!
Great Beast Bookstore
A mission instance that's always open for no apparent reason.

Pros
+Despite being a mission instance, it's always open.
+Is actually a book store, kind of so there's that?
Cons
-Mobs bruh.
-Dat lighting.
-Only up to five people at a time.
UNTIL HQ/GATEWAY
UNTIL HQ, and the GATEWAY station that's accesible through UNTIL are both open instance quest grabbing locations.

Pros
+A two for one deal.
+Dat atmosphere in Gateway
+No level lock.
Cons
-It's a quest giving location. Expect non-RPers.
-Likewise, expect other RPers using it for their little group.
-Gateway is locked and requires you to unlock the Cinsular Mechanon missions before being able to gain entrance to it.
Sakura Park
A japanese styled park in the downtown area. Just north of it is the "War on Peace" open mission. Most of the park is the open mission (So full of mobs most of the time) but the southern part that contains a large bridge is completely mob free.

Pros
+Let out your inner weeb.
+Those bridges up above are pretty cool.
Cons
-Your inner weeb is normally bad
-You only get a bridge.
Office Park
Dunno if it really constitutes as an office park. I could just be using the phrase entirely wrong to be honest. It's on the edge between City Center and Downtown areas. Just east you can get some "alleys" by which I mean space between some buildings I'm pretty sure were supposed to have collision boxes.

Pros
+Hot dog vendor
+Sort of alleys
Cons
-It goes BnW in the alleys a lot
Restaraunt Part 2: Second Course
More food places to eat at or whatever. Even less mobs. Sits right on the wall seperating City Center and Downtown.

Desert
Besides Greenskin and a few quest giver locations, The desert has very little in the way of RP locations outside of doing IC quest runs. It's mostly desert but it does also house a military base for VIPER and a giant radioactive crater.

Belle's Saloon
A saloon in a western themed themepark. It has robot plays! It's also it's own instance.

Pros
+Despite being in a relatively low level area it's normally pretty empty, allowing you to plan for larger group things here.
+No mobs
Cons
-The Saloon can be difficult to go to or come from for players without a flight based travel power.
Canada
Okay, so I found another place to RP in so I guess I need to write a real Canada general section. Canada is primarily wilderness. Normally snowey wilderness but thanks to the gadroon you've got alien bits too.

This Freaking Cabin

No pros or cons cause really... There's not much to say about it. That Ravenspeaker guy won't gtfo so there's that?

This Freaking Tower

Pros
+Alien stuff? Pretend it's a lookout point on an alien planet.
Cons
-Don't go on the roof. It has mobs.
Monster Island
Monster Island! Giant monsters! Giant robot monsters! It's Japan's wet dream of a zone or something else equally racist! Tropical like hell, it's almost all sand and forest.
The Beach!

Located between a Viper base and... Another... Part of the same base. This stretch of beach has no mobs spawning on it. Yay, beaches!
Pros
+Re-enact your favorite anime's beach episode!
+There's a place that exists in the Lore that's a beach resort for heroes. Pretend this is the beach!
Cons
-It's Monster Island. You need to be in your 30s or have someone to teleport you there.

Satellite Dish Installation
Just by the entrance to Moreus' lab is this thingy. I think the scale is a bit off cause those safety bars are twice my character's height.

Pros
+No mobs despite being literally at Moreu's front door.
Cons
-It's Monster Island. You need to be in your 30s or have someone to teleport you there.

Raptor Rush
And open instance mission that has no mobs so long as you don't start the mission.

Pros
+Outpost/base feel.
+Close proximety to the ARGENT "Wildlife preserve" gives a number of RP options.
Cons
-It's pretty damn barren.
-There's a dinosaur nest dead center.
-It's Monster Island. You need to be in your 30s or have someone to teleport you there.

ARGENT Hunting Lodge
A social instance of the quest involving fighting Steel Commando.
Pros
+High Class Feel
+Also contains a back meeting room
+Auction House access??????
Cons
-Monster Island
-They friggin' shoot you when you're coming in, got dang AA guns
Vibora Bay
Vibora Bay is the only other city you can currently go to in this game. It's based on a generic Lousiana town and thus has a heavy french theme to it. Not only that, magic is much more commonplace here with many of the local gangs themselves using it.
The Docks/SS Bayou/Carnival

The immediate area around the super jet in Vibora bay holds a number of viable locations for various types of RP. The casino boat is a seperate instance.
Pros
+No enemy mobs
+There's a pretty casino boat, a generic looking dock area, and a small carnival-esque location which allows a varried amount of RP posibilies
Cons
-Requires either a party member with a team teleport to device or to have completed the Vibora Apocalypse quest line.

Windsong Mall
An open air mall. The same mall used in one of the Vibora Bay alerts.

Pros
+No enemy mobs
Cons
-Requires either a party member with a team teleport to device or to have completed the Vibora Apocalypse quest line.

Minefield
A more gothic/punk like club. It's like Caprice but less futas (unfortunetly not completely devoid) and more smoke machines. A seperate isntance.
Pros
+Neon lights, dance cages, and actual working doors that lead to a back-room/VIP area. It's like Caprice with more neat stuff
Cons
-Requires either a party member with a team teleport to device or to have completed the Vibora Apocalypse quest line.

Juryrig's place
Juryrig's garage works as a seperate isntance. You can pretend it's yours or that you're helping Juryrig with something or whatever.
]
Cons
-Requires either a party member with a team teleport to device or to have completed the Vibora Apocalypse quest line.

Dr. Ka's Flatstone
It's own seperate instance, Dr. Ka's flatstone is both a commonplace quest instance.
Cons
-Requires either a party member with a team teleport to device or to have completed the Vibora Apocalypse quest line.

The Dog Pound
A bar/fight club that's more rough and tumble and a regular hangout for the Dogz. Operates as it's own instance.

Pro
+Perfect for lycan/gang members with affiliations with The Dogz
Cons
-Filled to the brim with mobs
-Requires either a party member with a team teleport to device or to have completed the Vibora Apocalypse quest line.

Crypt
An actual crypt. Full of coffins and the like.
Pros
+Spooky scarey skeletons
+Pretty damn big.
Cons
-Requires either a party member with a team teleport to device or to have completed the Vibora Apocalypse quest line.

Redsnake's Dojo
Everyone was kung fu fighting! With fists of lightning! And with none of the ninja vampires!

Pros
+Martial artist theme for all your martial artist needs.
+Large enough room for group meetings and what-not.
Cons
-Requires either a party member with a team teleport to device or to have completed the Vibora Apocalypse quest line.

The Crimson Lounge
Pros
+I know there's edgelords out there that'd appreciate the blood fountains, this ones for you
+Bara vampire gogo dancers if you're into that
Cons
-Bara vampire gogo dancers if you're not into that
-Seriously, the vampires are always there, you can't turn them off
-Vampires the Masquerade kinda sucks

Just adding this in... Leo's Bar, as of 2023, has become a social instance. Now people can go in and enjoy a clean-ish experiece. For me, the major con is the capacity. It can only hold up to 15 people at a time, so it could be used for a small group, perhaps.

What happens in Club Caprice stays in Club Caprice!

I've thought about it. Downtown has a few bridges between the building (It's essentially supposed to be the neighborhood's trademark) which would make catalogueing the lot of them when they're easily found by flying down any street

I'm a bit late to the party bro, but thanks for this guide. It got me accustomed to some of the instances I can find in the beautiful mob-infested world of Champions Online. As a friendly fellow Champs player trying to get back into the RP scene, I think I know a really good addition to your RP hotspots guide. It's in the Downtown district of MC, specifically the Qliphothic Tear area. It's a small mall zone infested with demons but above it in the sky is a small elevated garden with a hot dog vendor. It's really cozy and private, and you can also see players fly past when a race is in progress.

Oopsies.
Gateway Station is only accesible if you do the prerequisite missions in the Mechanonc questline.

How does one get into the GATEWAY station from UNTIL? I've been trying to get to GATEWAY and have a look around, but I seem to either not meet some prerequisite that I'm not aware of or have had trouble finding GW's instance entrance inside UNTIL HQ.
