Fire and Maneuver: The Basic Concepts

The Basics:

1. Get as close as possible to the objective using cover and concealment. Ensure that all supporting units are in attack range.

2.Designate units as the Support By Fire (SBF) position. These units will suppress the enemy position so that the Maneuver Element can close in and assault the objective successfully. Machine guns and mortars are preferred for this, but rifle squads will do.

3. Once your Maneuver Element and SBF are in place, begin suppressing with the SBF units.










If there is enough cover begin moving the Maneuver Element torwards the objective. If not, wait until suppression is achieved before advancing. In either case, wait for the enemy to be suppressed before the Maneuver Element launches it's assault.











Once suppression is achieved and the Maneuver Element has closed in, launch an assault and take the objective.

When I click not to shoot it still shoots, is there something I don't understand about the function? Because of that I can't ambush and it makes the game impossible. Yet there is the hand sign next to the unit. I really do not understand ! If anyone can help me it would be really appreciated

1 detect enemy (scout inf best, other inf or half track ok) 2 supress with mortars and bullets 3 keep shooting till they run away or if you can get close enough CQC
