Whether you prefer the old or new sprites is definitely down to what you're accustomed to. I personally prefer using the updated sprites since I'm used to more modern forms of anime/art, but I can see how some people would rather prefer going through the VN in the original form since to them they may view the newer sprites as "unoriginal" for looking too similar to the vast plethora of modern/new anime characters

I also like checking out the old sprites whenever I see a new character/expression pop up just to see lol

pressing p is pretty fun though. i like to compare the different art styles. i think console is my favorite but i kinda enjoy the remake too
