An Argonians Guide to Skyrim
By Lucy (Leofwina of Norþfolc)
Greetings Argonians. So, you've ended up in the land of Skyrim. It doesn't matter what you have done to get into this situation, because in the future, you will be remembered for something else. You will be seen as an insignificance fleeing the confusion and chaos of Helgen. No. You, Argonian, you will be remembered, maybe even revered or rebutted as future historians argue over the acts of fame/ infamy. Although you don't know it - Skyrim is a clam, fresh to crack open with your hands...

A Warning Beforehand.
Why do I need a forewarning?
I knew you where going to ask that. Skyrim isn't no Morrowind for your kind, but it isn't Black Marsh either. Like the Dunmer, Khajiit and Orcs, your kind will have several innate enemies. You may have done nothing to bring this on yourself, but they are racist bastards, so pay them no heed.

Despite this, I must heed a singular warning - If you are weak of will, I'd say way away from Windhelm. I don't just say this as a scare-mongler's tactic, I say it for your own safety. There are two people that you don't want to get on the bad side of:

Ulfric Stormcloak

This is the main discriminator of the races mentioned above. Whether or not he is "racist" is up for debate, but I digress, he only shows disdain and contempt to these races. Your kind is not even allowed in the city, By The Nine, you are left in poverty and exploitation!

And if I am strong-willed?
If you are, then I salute you. If you do manage to enter Windhelm (you seem to be allowed in to the City as you were at Helgen) then you may meet this man:
Rolff Stone-Fist

Now this guy is racist with a capital R. Give him a beat down, if not for yourself or the respect of your race, but for I!

So, what can you do to help your race?
Active Action
This focuses more on improving race relations (or at least trying to not make them worse) with the Nords. Here is a list of activities as follows:

  • Beat Rolff the racist and mug him of his racist gold, and throw it into the sea (or spend it on some Ale, either way, make sure he loses possession)
  • Join the Stormcloaks (Although Ulfric isn't thrilled that you are a 'lizard', he remembers that you were at Helgen.
  • Complete the Stormcloak Storyline (Ulfric will now trust you) Yes this includes killing Imperials and General Tullius, but, Hey, surely you knew what you were getting into when you joined,
Helping your Kind
Don't want to bother heading to Windhelm? Try these:
  • Cure Wujeeta of her Skooma Addiction
  • Identify the Skooma dealer (gaining info from Wujeeta who you have cured) and tackle the Skooma ring. This is part of the "Becoming the Thane" of Riften
  • At every opportunity, help all the Argonians you can find in the game, including all the capital cities, towns, and Hamlets.

@360vapegod my first character was an argonian and i joined the stormcloaks and lived in windhelm, after the dialogue encounter for the first time in windhelm the only racist is rolff. ulfric being racist is literally bullshit

also don't beat up rolff, it will just make him like you and act like your his friend. he's also essential so you can't kill him. just disable him or make him unessential then kill him or ignore him

Lore wise, I don't see any reason why an Argonian wouldn't join the Imperials if they wanted to pick a side in the Civil War. Maximum swag points for taking Windhelm with the Imperials and then buying the house there to flip the middle finger for their discrimination against the Argonians in the Assemblage.
