Omega is one of the two SNES superbosses. He hangs out in the caverns of the Interdimensional Rift, chillin' out doing his robot thing. Talking to it engages one hell of a battle.

When I fought him on the GBA, I won through sheer luck but I used patience. I attacked him one Spellsword at a time and basically restored anyone smashed by Rocket Punch. Encircle also never worked at all. Not knowing of the wonderful world of Chemists or the fact this boss isn't Stopproof (which is why many players spam Romeo's Ballad as it pierces his Reflect and keeps him from constantly attacking).

As with my previous fight with Shinryu, I still refuse to use Rapid Fire. But I will not be using Bards or their Music to quell this beast. Through the use of the ever so popular Spellblade Dual Wield and specific buffing, I have bested him.

PLAN

Omega's offense puts Shinryu's to Shame. He has an array of laser and all party attacks that can mess you up royally. Not to mention he has Auto-Reflect, 190 Defense Stats, 90 Evasion and absorbs everything but Lightning (Which is weak against).

Even if you manage to land a hit. He will respond with either Mustard Bomb (deals high damage) or Rocket Punch (1/2 of your current HP as damage + Charm that Ribbons cannot block), followed by either another Rocket Punch or Encircle (erases a party member from the battle).

Without Rapid Fire, the most reliable way to take off health is to use Thundaga Sword with 2 Spellblade weapons (bypasses Defenses) and use Aim to bypass his 90 Evasion. But what about defenses?

This is where Mix comes in. Amongst the mixes are 3 that are useful: Lifeshield (makes you Deathproof so Blaster won't kill you),  Goliath Tonic (doubles your HP so Mustard Bomb won't flat out KO) and especially Dragon Kiss. Dragon Kiss applies Heavy/Dragon to that target. This causes any Dragon weapons to do 8x damage and causes the character to be completely immune to Omega's counter attack strategy outside of Mustard Bomb.  You can also apply Dragon Kiss to Omega and use Dragon weaponry for more damage, but it would be wise to add a few Turtle Soup (Antidote + Turtle Shell) mixes to him so your Dragon weapons do full damage.  I didn't use Goliath Tonic in this take, but it does help immensely if you didn't bring Mighty Guard into the fight. Followed up with a few White Magic users and Fire Rings to absorb the Fire attacks, Omega goes down pretty fast to Thundaga Sword, even if 1 person is doing offense solo.

Blaster - Either causes Paralysis or Death. Lifeshield blocks Death. Genji items can block paralysis. 
Encircle - Attempts to remove character from battle. Blocked by Dragon's Kiss 
Earthquake - Massive Earth Damage to entire party. Float nullifies.
Flamethrower - Fire damage to 1 party member. Fire Ring absorbs this. 
Maelstrom, - Reduces all party member's HP to critical levels. Can be dangerous if Sapped. 
Mustard Bomb - Massive non-elemental magic damage to 1 party member. Has a chance to cast on counter.
Rainbow Wind - Applies random effects to 1 party member. Ribbon negates most of it. 
Wave Cannon - Inflicts damage equal to 50% of the character's maximum health to all party members. Survivors are inflicted with Sap.
Rocket Punch - Deals damage equal to 50% of the target's current HP and causes Confusion that Ribbons cannot block. Dragon Kiss completely negates this.
