A Imperialist Nord's Guide to Skyrim

In a country of nationalistic and anti-imperialist Nords, one may feel just a little intimidated. Especially if you are an imperialist. Especially if you are not a racist. To summarise, if you are a Nord who is not a racist / nationalist and who supports the Empire, you may just have a little bit of a misunderstanding with quite a few people.

This guide is to make sure that you can peacefully (or not) co-exist with everyone else.

A Short History

Not too much can be said about Skyrim and it's relation to the Empire. Skyrim has provided at least one nutcase Emperor - Good Ole Pelagius Septim III himself - but apart from that, not much more can be said, apart from the fact that Skyrim has always been loyal to the Empire.

Well, that was until the Great War. The Markarth Incident and the White-Gold Concordat essentially started the Stormcloak Rebellion.

Also the Nords have a great dislike for the Dunmer, Altmer, Khajiit, Argonian, and essentially anyone who isn't a Nord. They may have justified reasons, or they may not, but nevermind that.

You want to know how to exist in this torn land?

The Pacifist (kind of)

Want to make Skyrim a better place for the Empire, but you are squeamish to a large quantity of corpses? Although these quests will not have a major effect on the game, every little act of good will is needed to reverse the discrimination set upon the Dunmer(and others) by the Nords.

• Beat Rolff Stone-Fist to the ground for his offensive nature to the Dunmer and take 100 of his gold
  
• Help Revyn Sadri by returning Viola's ring to her house by breaking in to her house.
  
• Talk to Torbjorn Shatter-Shield about paying Scouts-Many-Marshes and the other dock workers a fair wage.
  
• Help Brand-Shei uncover his past
  
• Get Talen-Jei three flawless amethysts for an engagement ring
  
• Cure Wujeeta of her Skooma addiction
  
• Get five Ice Wraith Teeth for Marise Aravel.
  
• Help Madesi make jewellery
  
• Request "The Age of Aggression" from all the bards in Skyrim
  
• Support the economies of the Dunmer and Argonians by buying their wares / Boycott nordic or pro-Stormcloak shops
  
• Support the Khajiit economy by taking up Skooma and jabbing about peace on Nirn
  

Active Action

If you are not into the skooma-fuelled ranting about "non-violence" (I mean, it's Skyrim, its not exactly easy to avoid violence) you will like these ideas better.

• Join the Imperial Legion
  
• Kill every Stormcloak Soldier you see
  
• Go into Windhelm
  
• Charge into Windhelm and start a mass slaughter to get a message across (turn god mode on maybe?)
  
• Kill non-essential Stormcloaks/ racists (e.g Bolund)
  
• Win the civil war and kill Ulfric Stormcloak
  
• Clear out the remaining Stormcloak camps dotted around Skyrim
  
• If you feel inclined to, get a mod that makes every character non-essential and wipe out all Stormcloaks, including the camp leaders, and the leaders in the main holds (This may break the game, but it's good fun, I guess)
