Simo Häyhä Build (White Death)
Af GRINDFEST
Simo "Simuna" Häyhä; December 17, 1905 – April 1, 2002), nicknamed "White Death" by the Red Army, was a Finnish marksman. Using a Finnish M / 28-30 rifle (which is based on the Mosin-Nagant rifle) in the Winter War, he killed at least 505 men, the highest recorded number of confirmed sniper kills in any major war.

Who is Simo Häyhä? (Background on who this build was based on)

Who Was He?

Simo Hayha had a fairly boring life in Finland. He served his one mandatory year in the military, and then became a farmer. But when the Soviet Union invaded his homeland in 1939, he decided he wanted to help his country.

Since the majority of fighting took place in the forest, he figured the best way to stop the invasion was to grab his trusty rifle, a couple of cans of food and hide in a tree all day shooting Russians. In six feet of snow. And 20-40 degrees below zero.

Of course when the Russians heard that dozens of their men were going down and that it was all one dude with a rifle, they got ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scared. He became known as "The White Death" because of his white camouflage outfit, and they actually mounted whole missions just to kill that one guy.

They started by sending out a task force to find Hayha and take him out. He killed them all.

Then they tried getting together a team of counter-snipers (which are basically snipers that kill snipers) and sent them in to eliminate Hayha. He killed all of them, too.

Over the course of 100 days, Hayha killed 542 people with his rifle. He took out another 150 or so with his SMG, sending his credited kill-count up to 705.

Since everyone they had was either too dead or too scared to go anywhere near him, the Russians just carpet-bombed everywhere they thought he might be. Supposedly, they had the location right, and he actually got hit by a cloud of shrapnel that tore his coat up, but didn't actually hurt him, because he's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ White Death, damn it.

Finally on March 6th, 1940, some lucky bastard shot Hayha in the head with an exploding bullet. When some other soldiers found him and brought him back to base, he "had half his head missing." The White Death had finally been stopped.....for about a week. In spite of having come down with a nasty case of shot-in-the-face syndrome, he was still very much alive, and regained consciousness on March 13, the very day the war ended.

Build Overview

For the Simo Häyhä Build, the character that was used is Sokol, I know he is Russian but he is the closest to looking like Simo Häyhä IMO.

For weapons I used the Nagant Rifle as the Primary weapon, the Chicago Typewriter as a secondary, the URSA Knife as a melee and for throwables the Molotov Cocktail was used.

For Deployables I used the Doctor Bag and for armor we used the Heavy Ballistic Vest.

Finally, for masks I used the Kuro Zukin Mask

Weapons
Primary: Nagant Rifle (Sniper Rifle in-game) [Real Life Mosin-Nagant]

I chose this weapon as it is a derivative of the rifle Simo Häyhä used to acquire his 505 kills
and you can use Iron Sights like Simo Häyhä did unlike the other sniper rifles in-game

Simo Häyhä used the M/28-30; A Finnish copy of the Mosin-Nagant

M/28-30

In-game

Modifications

For Modifications I used the Long Barrel, Iron Sights Attachment and LED Combo

Secondary: For the secondary, I chose to go wtih the chicago Typewriter SMG as it was the only Drum Magazine SMG in game close to resembling the Suomi KP/-31 that Simo Häyhä used

Suomi KP/-31 (Real Life)

Chicago Typewriter (in-game) I know this is the Thompson SMG but this is the closest we have to a Suomi

Modifications

For Modifications, I used the Long Barrel, LED Combo and Competitors Compensator

Melee

For Melee, I decided to use the URSA Knife since it was the Knife closest to resembling the standard issue Finnish knife during Simo Häyhä's service the Puukko which the Russian's copied after the Winter War as a knife calling it the NR-40 which the URSA knife resembles

Puukko

NR/40 Knife

URSA Knife

Throwable

For throwables, I chose the Molotov Cocktail since it was used to great effect in the Winter War as a cheap, easily produced incendiary weapon; they can even be used against tanks!!!

Use this as reference

Mask, Armor and Deployable
Mask

For the mask in this build I used the Kuro Zukin mask with Plastic Material to make it look White since Simo Häyhä wore full white clothing during the Winter War

Armor

For armor I used the Heavy ballistic vest

Deployable

For Deployable, I used the Doctor Bag

Skills And Perk Deck
Perk Deck

For Perk Deck I used Muscle to refelect on Simo Häyhä's brush with death when he was shot in the head with an exploding bullet and being able to regenerate health and have more health as well

Skills

For skills, I basically chose a Ghost Master Doctrine with Inspire Aced, Kilmer Aced, the ability to bag faster, throw bags farther, run faster, be able to Dominate Cops, have improved statistics with sniper rifles and SMG and carry 2 Doctor Bags with 4 uses each

Good to see a fellow reader of Cracked, this was one of my favorite articles. On a more relevant note, it's good to see a nice sniper focused build. :)

How do you make it so the skills go up to 36 and not 40?

No, using a Russian to pose as a Finnish war hero is not offensive. If you are that easily offended you need to grow some backbone and stop being such a sissy.
