Staying Alive
This is the most basic but at the same time the most important aspect of doing well in Rampage Knights. You stay alive by moving around and not getting hit, and not getting hit leads to you living. not dying leads to you killing enemys, get the picture? To stay alive you need to dodge enemy attacks, heal your wounds, and insuring that you will come back alive if you cant stay alive.

Moving around is the most important part of Rampage Knights. In a sticky situation surrounded by enemys? roll through the lot of 'em! A wave of ice rolling at you? Hurdle like an olympic athlete! Too many enemys to take at once? Run like a coward! To do all of these effectively follow these main guidelines:
  • Always be aware of what enemy's are doing if they arent right next to you, dont get tunnel vision
  • Be prepared to move no matter what situation you are in, no combo is worth getting hit for
  • Always know where you are going to land, and prepare for any enemy attacks on your way down
  • Be extra careful around ledges! dont let the baddies have the easy way out!
Once you are sufficient at movement and dodging, the entire game gets a whole lot easier.

When you get hit in Rampage Knights (notice it is when, not if), you need to recover as fast as possibile to get back in the fight. this is a farely simple concept, but you need to understand that you must try and save potions and spare food. A good guideline of what to consume would be: Food->small potions->big potions->dirty medicine/others that come with a negative effect. Never be afraid to treck back to the first room to eat a burger! There is no shame in playing it safe!

What happens if you cant do these two simple things? you die. But its not over yet! if you have an adventuring buddy they can save you! or a guardian angel! or and extra life! or in the case of you satanic lot, A demon can save your life! Coming back from the great unknown is a very common thing in Rampage Knights, and you should know how to do it, and even in certain situations, use it to your advantage. As shown above there are plenty of ways to come back alive, the most common is a good partner in crime. When you come back alive you are set with full health and no diseases (sadly curses persist on your soul), use this to your advantage! for example, and the end of a boss fight, if one partner has perished they are revived. low health, poisoned, and you cant stop running? why not just let yourself go once the boss is low and let your partner finish him off? boom, full health and ready for the next level!

Now that you know how to stay alive and not die, time to teach the enemys how to do the opposite!
Killing and Combat
Time to swing that sword/bat/axe of yours! now that you can sufficiently stay alive, lets go hurt something! Combat is the point of this game, get good at it and you will be having a blast! What you need to do to kill safely is really quite simple. Only attack when you are safe, single out enemies when possible, target certain enemys before others, and Use the environment.

The first things goes along with the last section quite well. Just be safe when you are killing the bad guys. When you are in a hardcor stomp-fest in a corner and an archer draws his bow back, get out of there ASAP. And then go show him how mad you are for interrupting your fun. To kill safely, you must know your enemys and there patterns, so that you know just how long you can attack. Different enemys have different attacks, for instance archers will place themselves away from you and shoot, and kick you when close. learn these. use them to your advantage and you will become a mighty dragon/goblin/eyeball/slime slayer! I will try and post another guide specifiically for different enemys at a future point. Practice safe killing!

Single out your enemys, it will make the game much easier. The best part is is that they will probably help you! For instance you are on the run from a marathon of bad guys, but one lone brave soul stands in your path! what do you do? Attack him with all your might while the others catch up! deal as much damage to this single target while you have the chance! This is really useful when fighting a pack of enemys and a giant. my personal preferance is to just stay away from the giant until he is the only one left, and then finish him off! If you are really feeling violent and experimantal, you can always toss this lonely ranger of an enemy back into the pack of bloodthirsty monsters and create a big mess while you continue to run away.

When you come into a room, and several different enemys spawn at once, you need to know which ones to attack and which onces to save for dessert. Genereally speaking, you want to hit hard the ones that can do the most damge, Especially wizards. Also look out for goblins, whose poison can be a HUGE pain when exploring. Then you may want to target ranged archers and mini Danny Trejo's so they dont ruin your day with stray projectiles. Then move onto basic troops, and lastly giants. Because they can be a huge pain to try and take down amidst a horde of rude demon-spawn. This order will also vary depending on which enemys you feel more comfertable about fighting and dodging.

The best part about this game? there are pits everywhere. At first you may think, great. I can fall down and it will kill me immediatelly. not a good thing. But the same goes for the enemys! Want to know the easiest and fastest way to take down a giant? bump him once into a chasm that endless in depth. This goes for EVERY ENEMY. Now you are thinking, "but what about the flying ones!?", well you bring up a good point. Under normal cercumstances you are true, they can fall into a pit. Unless you have any sort of weapon/spell/familiar that can freeze an enemy! Wait for them to go out over the pit, freeze them, and tah-dah! they are no longer in this world! Another way that you need to be aware of the environment is that if you have double jump, look out for pillars you can stand atop of! Its like a safe zone!

Hopefully now that you can swing that weapon and hop with those boots, lets move on towards some more specific points of the game that need some attention.

Helpful hints
  • There is no shame in running, fight if you have to... to run away!
  • Take the game slow, there is no rush when trying to beat it on any difficulty
  • Use all the resources you have if you need to, dont be afraid to throw that axe!
  • Mana is the one thing that regerates. Use spells as often as possible
  • DESTROY EVERYTHING!!!!! even the barrels in the camp area!
  • Eat nothing unless you must! you can always come back to snack later if you need to. The same goes for spells of every type.
  • Try and get all of the achievements! most of the give you really nice perks on any future playthroughs that you do
  • Practice, practice, practice! You wont beat insane mode after only beating the game on hard once. get used to dieing a lot, but learn and adapt.
  • Dont purposefully curse yourself unless you can get rid of it, or you have no other choice.
  • If you get levitation boots, KEEP THEM, unless, however, you get the magic carpet.
  • If you have the chance, get double jump as soon as possible
  • Also, if you want double jump, you must let jumping disease run its course. dont cure it. or die.
  • Cure poisons and curses as soon as possible
  • Get as many familiars as possible, spend the money and get all three if you have the chance!

Its random which boss you get, and I've gotten it just as many times as the other, so you must just be lucky! or unlucky, depending on how you look at it

you forgot about regen potions when you were talking about the health items. Besides that, this is a pretty good guide :)
