If you want to try, just credit me in the description or wherever you want.

I don't think they would let you post this on nexus, because of the copyright. Before this workshop, I tried to post my mods on nexus and they striked me for copyright material, you can try on the SSE workshop (on the Bethesda website), but I have no idea if Bethesda let people upload copyrighted materials on their website, never tried.

I have your permission to post this on the nexus if I get it to work?

No, the textures are tied to the models, that are tied to the .esp, but I've seen people who converted mods from Skyrim to SSE (converting png textures to dds) without editing the models, so I assume the problem is in the .dds files. But now that I think about it, I had a very similar problem with my very first Skyrim mod where textures were invisible, if you search my post on Reddit (with title "[Help] invisible bug with my armor mod"), I posted a solution in my last comment, you could check it out if it works.

right, but the fact that it's a png is what makes it crash, it needs to be a .dds file. that's also why when you simply convert the texture files to a .dds file it doesn't show. I don't know much about modding, but I would assume that the texture files' type is tied to the .esp file.

I read online that you need to rescale the texture size in power of 2 (e.g. 1024x1024, 2048x2048, 4096x4096).

personally I would find this to be super fun to play in VR, especially considering how relatively large these blades are compared to the player, you literally feel like vanitas in kh bbs, or xehanort in kh 3

when you convert the .png files to .dds files, they don't load onto the meshes because, I assume they're not set to load in the .esp file as that file type.
