Introduction
This guide is mostly aimed at people with low end computers, like me, who are trying to get the most out of Mad Max on their systems. It consists of a few basic ingame settings and editing a .ini file. If you aren't comfortable with that, read very carefully and go slow. Together we can build a V8 better than the Black on Black.

EDIT: I wrote this guide when the game came out and I had a horribly ass computer. I no longer play this game and cannot guarantee any of this works anymore. Use at your own risk blah blah blah.
The Meat and Potatoes
The first thing you need to do is update your drivers. I know everyone says it, but it does tend to give you a few fps or less stutter. Google your graphics card company, Intel or AMD, and download/ install the latest drivers.

the first REAL thing you do is go into the game at least once to generate a settings file. Once in the menue, go to settings ---> graphics, and turn EVERYTHING down or off. No AA, no heat haze, nothing. save and quit.

Now open up you file explorer and go to C:\ Program files (x86)/ Steam/ Steamapps/ Common/ Mad max. Inside is a .Ini file called settings.ini. Right click and open with notepad or wordpad. scroll down to the graphics section and change every number to 0. The only one that you might want to leave alone is ShadowsQuality=1. Even though this controls the most hardware intensive setting, it turns off ALL shadows. change this to 0 as a last resort, as it is more or less allbright with it set to 0.

This is my current settings with everything default, besides graphics, with shadows off.

If you copy and replace this, please save your own copy first, into your Ini file, you will receive a decent fps boost.

Note: I run an A10 5757 and 8 gigs of Ram in a laptop and get high 20's to low 40's with these settings. Good luck, and may the yellow lead you to the scrap.

I am running the game on settings a little higher than these but I have a wierd skybox glitch where it gets dark but there are a few horizontal lines running through it that are the normal colors, if anyone can help just add me and message me. Thanks <3

As we know the view distance is pretty far , so im asking you guys , is it possible to reduce it , out of game by txt files like these guide ?
Mel@Midnight  [author] Sep 15, 2015 @ 9:57am
@scorpion the next update will probably line it up with the newer drivers. we will probably get a small performance increase, but i wouldn't expect too much.
