Welcome to the Opencity! It's the middle of summer, so don't expect a lot of people around. Majority of citizens are on a vacation, but don't think police is away! Shoot once in wrong direction, and you along with your friends will be in a big trouble.

Waves of enemies could seem really hard to survive, but once you team up with a friend and memorize health and armor stashes' locations - your chances of survival will increase.

[What it's all about]

The point is -- try to survive all the police waves. But you can still peacefully explore the map, and maybe build some stuff. Also might be good for PvP (if you get rid of NPCs).

[Change it Yourself]

Want to fix a bug yourself? Want to create a big hole in the wall where you know I wouldn't put it? Want to make every building in the city completely destructible?

[Recommendations]

Map is designed with mp_falldamage set to 1 in mind.
To get into the control room -- use the setpos 1200 1760 -13600 command.

Sorry, didn't see the May 12 comment for some reason. There is a control room under the map, you can use the command I provided in the description to get there. It has a button to remove all NPCs.

With regards to citizens attacking you -- the system is a bit clunky, but generally you have a bit of time to kill an alerted individual or two before the whole city is alerted. I wish it was more refined, and people would become alerted naturally, but it's the best I could come up with, with my experience and the way the game is structured.

I hate that every time a citizen attacks you. Everyone in the city starts attacking you.

Hm, didn't see those comments for some reason. But there is a console command in the description for getting into 'the control room' and it has a button for removing NPCs (may require 'sv_cheats 1').

Generally breaking something or shooting somewhere will get you arrested. And since I am using Half-Life 2 NPCs, 'getting arrested' means eventually getting shot. Something about judgement being delivered, verdict being guilty, and sentence being death. You can listen to what metropolice and their dispatcher woman are talking about when they arrest you, if you want to find what the sequence is.
