Ted McPain, the One-Man Army

Hello fellow nauts! I have seen not many Ted guides, aside from the 1-2 good rated guides... So I have decieded to make my little take on a Ted guide! (This is my first guide, so if you're gonna be toxic, go back to League of Legends.)

Introduction!

Ted McPain, the hero of the first A.I. War, the video game brand that is succsessful, the first contender of the Starstorm DLC, and got nerfed.... ;-;
Before he got nerfed, Ted McPain was powerful enough to 1v1 many people with a strategy called.... "The McPain Train". Even though his shotgun is weaker, doesn't mean he got a bad nerf.

Getting started!

Ted is you're basic brawler, he is powerful close-mid range, but lacks in long range strength. His first ability(s) is(are) an airstrike, which acts like raeylenn's scope, but goes up without collisions. His other first ability is Stimpack, which increases his attack speed for a short time, works well with the assault rifle. His second..ish ability is a transformation? which switches from Assault Rifle to his Shotgun, with the Assault Rifle comes the Airstrike, and.. you guessed it, Stimpack with Shotgun. The Airstrike is good for clearing minions, aswell as sneaky suprises if you are at bottom lane. Stimpack is great with destroying Turrets and/or enemy nauts.

Builds and Suggestions

If you came here for a Ted build, here is the section; if you came here to learn more about Ted, this guide is for you. :P I normally build Ted as Airstrike Ted, with buying the ability, piggy-bank, then the extra airstrike. Following, is buying DoT, (Damage over Time) then damage. With this, it is easier to clear minions, and for helping your team getting kills, or harrasment for top lane (if you choose to go bottom lane most of the time.) You can add medi-can or the extra 3.5% damage mixed in with either DoT, or damage upgrades.
After you buy the max upgrades for the Airstrike, consider buying Stimpack and AA (auto attack) damage or AA damage and health. These will depend on your situation, getting Stimpack and AA damage will allow for aggresive pushes if they happen frequently by your team. Getting AA damage and health will allow for safer harrasment and more damage on Turrets and Nauts; either or will give you nice bonuses for your game. Next, it is up to you! You can continue increasing your AA, or buy some Stimpack items. I know there are more builds and maybe better builds, but like I said, this is my build for Ted.
Now, for some suggestions....
Having the collision bonus on Airstrike will allow you to damage bottom minions, and top minions aswelll! So, being in bottom lane will help your team and you at the same time. When there are multible enemy Nauts clumped up, it is good to use your Airstrike to weaken them down a lot, and can even discourage them from your turret, or get some sweet sweet kills. It is important to know your flaws, and it's a good idea to head in with your team or harrass at a safe distance.

Pros and Cons

Cons

• With Ted being a Bruiser, he is slow and doesn't have much hp, which makes him easy targets for a lot of nauts or the whole enemy team.

• Nauts that counter Ted - Leon, Clunk, Raeylenn, Coco, Froggy G, lonestar, and ksenia

• Ted isn't as powerful as he was before, so try not to be cocky and sitck to your side of the lane, or with your team.

Pros

• Ted has many nauts that arent good against Ted, like Ayla, for example. When she trys attacking you, try to dodge her eye and bait her into walking into your Airstrikes when she is enraged.

• He is amazing at harrasment, use your minimap to your advantage when you're in bottom lane, and if there are enemies at top, use the Airstrikes and damage them, Remember, Most people might not think, "Hey, that Ted is at bottom lane... meh he won't do much there" then you Airstrike their butts and they get to low hp or see your team seizing the oppurtunity and taking the kill, or just straight up dieing from the damage and/or DoT.

• Like I said, Stimpack is great for pushes, and with the help of a few upgrades, can save your life or kill enemies. Don't think that Stimpack is useless because the Shotgun got nerfed, it can be powerfull.

• Lastly, the Shotgun is great for hurting minions, finishing minions, harrasing nauts, and good for safety againt leons or clunks, (if you get the knockback upgrade at the store.)

Conclusion

Ted is good through all stages in the game, and is great for harrasment. Try not to be cocky, and alter your build with the current situation. Ted is an easy target, so try not to be open for kills, and stick to your team when you guys push or have a team fight. His items can help against his counters, so be aware of that.

Ayla Is very good against ted, I main Ayla, and can confirm, he has almost no ways of getting away from an ayla, besides knockback on shotgun, and you won't always have airstrike available when she attacks, if you do happen to hit her with an airstrike, she can easily eye you, kill you, and get away, if she's done enough rage damage, or if she has bought eye damage.

Maybe when Ronimo notices that Ted is basically useless with all those counter-nauts and weaknesses, then they make a patch to buff him or add a naut to help him...
