How to stealth The Diamond Heist

This guide is going to teach you handsome lads how to stealth the Diamond Heist

Introduction

Your crew will have to rewire 3 alarm boxes so that you can deactivate the lasers at the vault door.



It may sound easy, and most of the time, it can be, but there are 12 guards roaming around the place jerking each other off, or just grinding their shoes on the ground thinking about what to do with their life.

The Guards

Being patient will make the guards go away from the alarm boxes, just remember, as soon as one guard goes away, another will take his place within seconds, so you better move over there and rewire it before those guards call the entire military on you

Achievements

There are multiple achievements you can get during this heist, here are all of them

Are those the blue ones?
Collect all ten sapphires during the Diamond Heist on Hard difficulty or above. You will have to have played the heist from the start.

Shinobi
Complete the heist on hard or Overkill difficulty after bypassing all three alarm boxes without being detected. The achievement will still be awarded if the alarm is triggered between the last alarm box being bypassed and the code being entered

I pushed the button and lived!
Steal the big diamond and escape on Overkill difficulty or above with you and all your teammates alive. You will have to have played the heist from the start.

Are you ready yet?
Get the helicopter pilot to fly back for you seven times. It can be earned simply by surviving the assault for long enough after stealing the diamonds in the vault. The achievement is unlocked as soon as Bain completes the seventh trip.

Bomb man
Kill all twelve patrol guards with trip mines only. You will have to have played the heist from the start.

Once you have actually gotten all 3 of the alarm boxes rewired, you will be able to go downstairs into the vault and enter the codes, and if the codes worked, congratulations, you might be getting somewhere in this guide

Once you are in, you can get the diamonds in the middle and get out, the end

Wait, whats that? Your playing on overkill?












Mother of god, this means you can get the big diamond.

The Big Diamond

In the vault, turn to your right, you should be able to see a safedoor like this



Once you get close to the door, your heister will literally yell to not open it, even Bain says "We will mess with anything except that!"

But don't be scared by the red button, open the door, and you will see the mother of all diamonds.

Now the problem is that its in a secured glass casing, and if you try to break it, it will sound the alarm and the Diamond will dissapear.

Now if you didn't break the glass, you can go back to where you originally got into the building, and you should see a glass cutter, bring it back and start sawing for 320 seconds.

The Escape

Now as soon as you grab the Diamond, this will trigger a scenario event where when you break the diamonds in the middle, smoke will instantly drop down and hordes of special units will attempt to take you into custody, so be ready!

What I like to do is bring my sentry gun to provide covering fire while I get my loot, it usually gives me the 8 seconds I need to get the diamonds and get out.

If you managed to get out of the vault alive with your loot, Bain will pick you up in a helicopter and you are good to go.

"If you want to get extra time to yourself in the vault, just trigger the alarm outside by killing a guard. Rather than the vault being swarmed, you'll get an extra scripted 90 or so seconds."

#4:There are some typical "danger zones", that you should ALWAYS try to AVOID. These are the rings in both floors, the disco, the staircases and stairs, the canteen.
#5: Right after you start the game, the patrols are seem to be a bit less frequent than they later will be. At this time, you should go for the hardest areas, like hunting for the sapphires in the 2nd floor ring.
#6:Sometimes there is a guard at the vault area, outside the vault, walking through the lasers, and can see you when you least expect it at the 1st floor ring.
#7:Use sprint/jump/crouch and jump/crouch a lot. This can give you extra seconds before getting detected. Guards' "brain" can detect effectively only static or countable movements. If you start running and then suddenly after seeing guard you jump crouch, he can still spot you, but you won extra seconds. With practice this can be enough to jump in front of guards within a few meters WITHOUT getting DETECTED !

There are many tricks on this map that you didnt mention, but they are life-saving.
#1:The 2nd floor is the most dangerous area, because of the smallest place, and most frequent patrols.In the "Sales Department" (Office area) there are many "wooden walls" that are not complete ones, I dont know what they are called, the ones you can see through.You just need to get behind them, and from there you can tag guards through the small places of the wooden stuff.But guards will not see you, not even if the distance is just 0,5 meters, but you can still see them.
#2:Stay on the 2nd floor as less as possible in stealth, so you have better chances.
#3:Obviously, you should use the Toolkit upgrade if you are stealthing, to reduce time needed to interact with the boxes by 20%.

Opened the vault and didn't destroyed a single camera - wrong. + there are video,where dude broke the cameras and opened the vault. Maybe it depends on players amount?
