How To Get Un-Snagged From The Bottom

You know what I'm talkin about, the constantly snagged lines. You spent all your precious gold on shiny new casting spoons and with your first three casts you lose two of them. I used to just break my lines with the B key to save myself from the shame and embarrassment of the chat notification of a broken line. After a lot of trial and error I finally figured out how to get out of snags, since then no snag has stopped me. How To Get Un-Snagged

It's so simple all you have to do is max out your drag (tension) using the plus key. The little round gauge at the lower right hand corner shows your reeling speed with the arrows in the middle. It also shows your drag settings the six little indicators around the perimeter of the dial. Press the plus
and minus keys to see what the different settings look like.

To free yourself from snags all you have to do is:

1. Turn your drag all the way up using the plus key (+)

2. Set your reel speed to maximum with the mouse wheel forward

3. Hold right click and jerk the mouse hard to the right or left

4. Reel in your line in victory!

It sometimes helps to let out a little line before you try this to reduce any line tension, especially if you have very light line.You can let out line by scrolling mouse wheel all the way back to the backward arrow and left click. Also be sure to turn down your drag settings to half after your free from the snag because it is not uncommon for there to be a strike, if your drag is high it could snap the line quickly if the fish runs.

If you learn this properly you should never lose another lure to the weeds again.
