How to Play Trash Compactor

A short guide for those of you who are confused about how to play.

What Is Trash Compactor?

Trash Compactor is a Garry's Mod gamemode based off the very popular Halo 3 Gamemode with the same name. You play as either the Trashman or the Victims. If you are the Trashman it's your job to drop trash down the chute to kill all the Victims. If you're a Victim its your job to Survive the wave of garbage coming at you.

How To Play

Trash Compactor is a 1 VS 1-16(Whatever you want really) gamemode. It will all depend on how the server is setup.

There are two types of people you can be. You can either be the Trashman or a Victim

If you're the Trashman

If you're the Trashman then its your job to drop trash on people. You are armed with the Gravity Gun and the Physics Gun (Depending on server configuration). Pickup the trash and drop it down the hole/tube/ramp and watch it fly towards the victims. If you run out of trash then you will have to fight the Victims with your fists. (or the Gravity Gun if you're creative enough)

You win by killing all the Victims


If you're a Victim

If you're one of the victims your job is to survive. Avoid the trash being thrown at you. If you see the Trashman you can shoot him with your gun. Use dropped props as cover or be brave and dodge all the debris.

You win by either killing the Trashman or if the time runs out.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I want to be the Trashman. How do I become the Trashman?
A: If the queue is enabled, Open the scoreboard (Tab) and press the little person with the + button in the top right or type !queue into the chat). If its not enabled then it is randomly chosen.

Q: I jumped down and lost my physgun
A: By default you lose your physgun when you jump down to the victims area.


Q: Im the Trashman and Ive run out of trash. What do I do?
A: Start a fist fight with the Victims. (Or use your gravity gun ;) )


Q: How many people do I need to play?
A: The default is 2 but depending on the server is may be more


Q:How many bullets do the Victims get?
A: 6 each round


Q:How do I mute people?
A:Hold Tab (Scoreboard) and right click on their name.


Q:What happens when the Trashman dies?
A: You can shoot your teammates for fun. (Also points for pointshop if active)
