Cartesian is now available for free!
Release date: September 2015
Cartesian is an innovative new puzzle game with lasers as its central mechanic. Deduce the correct way to fire the laser in a room so that all orbs in the room are illuminated simultaneously. But with the multitude of ways lasers can be used and manipulated, clearing each room becomes an engaging test of lateral thinking. Reflect lasers around walls, use them to destroy blocks, split a single laser into three, and use them offensively to outsmart enemies.

You play as Sibro, a laser-equipped robot deep within the depths of an alien planetoid. Part of an interstellar excavation crew, its new mission is to find the lost crew members and escape intact. As the robot regains contact with its human crew-mates, they admit to feeling an unnerving sense of being watched, or tested. Something wants Sibro to stay down, meaning leaving won't be easy...

  • Cartesian contains over 70 varied levels with dozens of interesting and unique twists to the core laser gameplay.
  • Winning "Excellence in Puzzle Gameplay" at Gamefest 2015 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Cartesian is a refined and polished experience from start to finish.
  • Having underwent rigorous playtesting from players of all skill levels, Cartesian is guaranteed to provide a reasonable challenge to puzzle fans while staying intuitive and easy to get into.

Cartesian is currently 90% COMPLETE and will be releasing this September! It won't be long until Cartesian would get released immediately after getting greenlit!

Part platformer, part laserpuzzle... ...worth a shot.

The puzzles look interesting but I would recommend polishing up the graphics first before release.

Visually, it doesn't look that good (it's not bad, but could use some improvement), but gameplay-wise, it looks fun.

If it were free, maybe. But naw, this belongs on Newgrounds.

Yes, only because of the sound track.

But it is like Robotex. It would be better as a Flash Game rather than a Steam Game..

The plot is similar to VVVVVV I think, even tho' I haven't played it. Could I learn the price of it?
