How to kill Derek in Mafia II

I had a hard time in this mission...and then i found the most amazing glitch!

first step

first you have to clear this area at the docks

Second step

after you have cleared the area. Notice how the garage is open thats the only entrance

Final step

enter the car you came with and drive this direction



and drive it straight to the lake then you will spawn back on land. So the garage will be closed and dereks office will be clear to enter!!!!!

I drive into the garage towards the end, but stop just far enough for Derek's guys to appear. Run to the stairs and another set of Derek's guys will spawn. Kill them. Then go back under where Derek is and work your way around to kill the other guys that dont come down after that run over to the garage door and try and shoot Derek from there.

Or, just run to the back, kill the two grunts. Then wait for the stair guys to run down, waste them. After that you take out the two tommy gunners upstairs, head back and wait for the stair guys to come back and THEN you simply just shoot Derek.

lemme guess ur in chapter 14 where you go to derek lookin for money. he wants ya to help with a problem and you do that. ya end up joining a group of workers and kill a load of dereks guys
then the garage door opens an you are free to enter the building. then you do the glitch and actually fast forward the process of the mission cuz you end up killing him anyways

i just did as "no sound" suggested... took a few tries (trying to stay alive after getting outa car.. but after that it worked.

I just mad sure to have my rifle out and dericks head is exposed at all times take him out with a headshot no more maltovs and its cake after that
