Perfectionist Achievement in 10 minutes (Legitimately): a Cheatsheet
By DeRockProject (jongyon7192p)
These are notes I made to speedrun this game. They're meant for experienced players, mostly gibberish to a new player. To use this guide, don't only read this page. Copypaste this to your text editor, then modify it whatever way feels most comfortable to you. Everyone's different, so this exact format may not be the best for most people, but it's the best I could make for myself.

This guide is made for speedruns, but it can also help to get the Perfectionist achievement, too. My suggested route should work well for the achievement, and you can use my diagrams. Note that you can click on the game window all you want. The only thing to avoid is clicking the buttons in the game. And even then, some of the buttons might not be part of the achievement, but this is unconfirmed, so be careful. Admittedly, no one knows exactly which buttons counts for the achievement and which don't.

The subtitles I give my endings are what refresh my memory of them most easily. You're most likely to change them. To me, the content of the endings are less important than the method of getting to them (except nuke and illuminati). The endings are numbered so you can check what you're missing.

1: wait 2: SCREW,HAMMER,shutdown 5: HAMMER deIlluminati 8: SCREW GRBB 15: bomber 16: HAMMER baby 17: SCREW midnight 20: button hell (stanley) 21: [X]Deny Red Button 3: nuke -132231 10: Right,0010001 11: Up(LRRL) --Down(RLLR) 14: 276 18: 666 --Left 6,7: 8232 13: SCREW,112358132 ---8367 4: star 9: 1243 12: 1211 3321/1123 19 SCREW,Down,4020,YRBB,cross 22: press to coffee

  • For demon baby boss, each blood clot becomes invincible for a short time when you click it. Bypass this by clicking another blood clot while one is invincible. Alternating between two should be way faster than clicking one, but it is very difficult to do without screwing up, so practice the hell out of it!
  • The fastest the 276/666 button can be pressed is 6 clicks per second (cps), so try not to click too fast. There are cps caps for all buttons and almost all are probably 3cps. Too bad I forgot what most of the cps caps are. I remember the bender buttons were 2.22cps. I measured it with a stopwatch. 20 clicks every 9 seconds = 2.22...cps. Tip: the music that starts when you press the red button once is used the most throughout the game. Its beat per second is 2.666..., a bit slower than 3cps. You can use the beats of music to tell how fast you're clicking.
  • 112358132 is faster than 011235813. Both work, but the former requires less mouse movement.
  • In #19(diamond sandworm ending), before making the cross shape, you need to open the 276 button which opens with the D4 panel where the diamond is inside. My Route: 8presses, 132231, screw color buttons, Left, Down(RLLR), 8367|4020, YRBB, 7x7cross, move diamond, and press button. Reset when 3 second countdown ends to save time.

----------------------

Suggested Order: | 17, 16, 8, 13, 19, 2, 5 | 3, 11, 10, 6, 7, 4, 9, 12 | 14, 18, 1 | 22 |
Random: 15, 20, 21

1st group of endings are more easy to screw up so get them out of the way. Set your computer's internal clock to 11:59:45PM before starting the run to get #17 first. (Or up to 5 seconds later,11:59:50PM, if you can consistently reach the clocks in less than 15 seconds. I don't think you can get faster than 9 seconds.)

2nd group are just most endings going from lowest to highest in complexity. It does help to do simpler endings that will refresh your memories when you do similar things for the more complex endings. Or maybe that's just me, then disregard me.

3rd group is where you do nothing (except spam click in case of #14 and #18). Use these in the middle of a run when you forget your route or get turned around on what to do next. Double-check to see if you have the endings you think you have, and don't have the endings you think you don't. I do one of these do-nothing endings while talking to myself out loud specifics on exactly what's coming up, while visualizing them in my head the best I can. However, if you know your route, just leave these for last because if you screw up a run, you don't wanna say you spent 200 whole seconds clicking your mouse 666+276=942 times for a wasted cause.

#22 is #22, the last ending and our final goal. Random ending are not controllable when they appear. Take them the first time you see them because #15, #20 are difficult. #21 can be delayed if you started working on another ending before your saw the passport lying there.
Helpful(or useless) Diagrams
These are for newbs who need help memorizing some codes. You should not rely on them during a speedrun. Just memorize them. Even #20 (Stanley ending) isn't that hard to memorize. Sooner or later, you won't need them at all. They will be so unneeded, as you masterfully speedrun this game, that I will have to personally apoligize to the people who gave me these useful images.

1click: nuke button
+1click(2total): roman# buttons
+6clicks(8total): screw
+7clicks(15total): hammer
+5clicks(20total): shutdown ending

#18 (After pressing right button 666 times)

These two are for the 7x7 board from typing 8367.

#4 (From top buttons to bottom, think "top-center, 3 buttons down, and a button away from each edge". Still, you want to click them in a circle since that takes shortest mouse path.)

#19 (Consider what the shortest mouse path is here, too.)

#20
From red, orange, yellow, green, to blue are each levels (1~5) of this ending's game. The last level(6)'s buttons are left blank so that those will be the most noticeable. Memorize that first. Note that each level, in order, you have to press 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 9 buttons.

All levels are easy to memorize once you decide how you will course your mouse through the buttons. You shouldn't need to memorize red, orange, and yellow, but you can imagine each as a dot, line, and triangle. Green is obviously a parallelogram. For blue, just keep in mind is the top-left button, a triangle mid-left, and an adjacent small parallelogram bottom-right.

Thanks to Mr. Fail for the images for #4, #18, and #19! And thanks [ROK]BluePenguin for the #20 image!
Achievement% Suggestion
This is for a speedrun of getting all steam achievements. I can assure you that, other these three, you are guaranteed to get all other achievement in an any% run. (Unless you screw up pressing 276 times in 1 minute or getting perfect bomber minigame.) Here's all the achievements you'll need to keep in mind.

Ergophobia: Wait 3 more minutes after getting ending #1 (4 minutes total).

Perfectionist: Perfect button presses until you get ending #22.

Groundhog Day: 100 resets

Once Again: Win and delete save.
A Speedrun Video
This video is the current world record but it's still not that well optimized. You can probably beat it. Yes, you, with the better functioning mouse that actually works properly, unlike mine. It'll be great to have some competition for this silly little speedrun, so I hope to see more people run this. it's a video that shows an example speedrun, so if it helps, I'll gladly to leave it here.

Thanks Banstar1 for letting me know that screwdriving the clocks is not required for the Sandworm ending. (Access to the D4 panel by Down(RLLR) is still required.)
Thank you Steam community for answering my every stupid question that made this little guide possible.

And thanks to the people who made this game, Four Quarters.

Hey, no problem! This guide is quite old, and I'm honestly surprised by the more recent WR runs of the game.
