This Mod is in my opinion the best mod i know for the Game Dawn of War: Soulstorm.

What is UA:THB?

Ultimate Apocalypse: The Hunt Begins (UA:THB)

This is the biggest modification for Dawn of War: Soulstorm i know and is in my opinion by far to unknown for the most DoW players and should get more popular.

As with the launch of soulstorm all basic units are rebalanced and most of them got new weapon modifications, the mod expands the games options, along with adding new units, three entirely new factions have been implemented.

UA:THB adds everything you ever wanted for DoW:SS.
It contains:
New Commanders, Titans, Vehicles and Infantry units.
New Buildings including Game Enders. (You can restrict them with addons if you dont want them.)
New Factions: Inquisition Deamonhunters, Chaos Deamons and Tyranids.
New inGame Addons like +20 Squad, you can make units like Titans and Commanders stronger with Addons (if you want). You can even restrict buildings or Tier 1-5 if you want to.

The mod itself is in a pretty good quality. It has pretty good textures and animations.
You could think its not a mod sometimes because of the good quality.

What you need to install the mod

First off.. Obviously you need the original Dawn of War: Soulstorm game in your steam library.

1.Rule of modding games, make a safety copy of the unmodded game!!

You need to Download 4 Files/Mods.
In order to install and get UA:THB to work properly you need EVERYTHING linked below.

How to install the mod

If you downloaded everything i linked above you are good to go.

First step. UA:The Hunt Begins
Install Ultimate Apocylypse: The Hunt Begins Mod, Launch UA-THB-v1.88.5-Full".

Make sure u use "Install UA - THB v1.88.5 Full" and "Create shortcut - 4GB Ram Patch"


BE SURE THE INSTALLER USES THE RIGHT PATH!

Second step. Tyranids, skip this if you are just updating.
Install Tyranid_Mod_0.5b2_Installer


Third step. 4GB Ram Patch.
Launch the 4gb_patch.exe as admin!


Go into your Soulstorm directory and select "Soulstorm.exe"


Launch it once again (as admin) and select "GraphicsConfig" this time.


Last step. Apply Patch 1.88.61
Just copy&paste it directly into your Soulstorm folder and overwrite all files.


Now you should have installed everything you need to play UA:THB properly.

How to activate and play the mod

Well... If you are new to the game or didnt mod earlier.

To activate the mod you need to start your game.

Click "Game Manager" inGame then you select "UA: The Hung Begins" and click activate below.

Crashes, errors and bugs

Dont forget this is still a mod.

If you crashing out of the game when you close it, dont worry about that. I have the same "problem".

The mod is pretty good but it is not perfect, so if you crash out sometimes dont blame the mod or the game.

There are addons in the mod/game that might crash the game if you combine them.. something like squad cap +200 and squad cap +100 combined with AI... you propably can imagine what would happen....

In regards to my previous post as well, we don't use the 4gb patch. We use the DoW Mod Manager which does that for you with the click of a button. :)

You should totally update this guide mate. We've long since moved on from that version, current being 1.89.52, and we're currently working on a major change in the next update which can be found on our roadmap on the official discord.

Hello! Not sure if anyone is monitoring this but im not sure how to navigate the discord channel. I dont have experience with mods or basic downloads, so I think I have done all the steps up to the last part where it says 'just copy and paste it to your soulstorm folder and overwrite all files'. Where and what do i copy and paste? do i go to the original soulstorm file?
