Jar Goblin Guide

This is a guide that will help you find all 55 Jar Goblins and protect the world's pots. This information was originally compiled by The Weak and this information has been used with permission.

Goblin Locations
Note: The Jar Goblins move so fast they can sneak into areas you have already checked and, at least in one case, clip through obstacles to get into area that you can't reach, so it is still possible to find one in a slightly different area than described below. If you cannot find a goblin in the area it sometimes makes it easier to go in and out of the zone to reset their position. If you still can't find one, try changing the time of day.

Towns and Fortresses

LOUTENRECK CASTLE
  1. Running around the middle of F2, the same floor the Jar Goblin Jar is.
  2. Inside the center cabinet of the SE room on F2.
  3. In the NW corner of the King's Throne Room, only after you have turned in 54 Goblins.
LOUTENRECK TOWN
  1. Inside the cabinet in the right room of the SE apartment building.
  2. Inside the Slaver's Well.
  3. Running around the SW building at night.
GREENVALE
  1. Inside the cabinet of the SW house.
  2. Inside the Well,
  3. Running around the center of town at night.
FORTRESS
  1. Running around the main floor.
  2. Also running around the main floor.
  3. Running around the warehouse in B1.
FORREN
  1. Cabinet in the middle room of the S apartment building.
  2. Running around the basement behind the Weaponsmith's house in the W part of town, in the same room a Bandit asks you to deliver something.
  3. Running around the N part of town at night.
WANGUN
  1. Running around the center of town at night.
  2. Also running around the center of town at night.
  3. Also running around the center of town at night.
CUOMO
  1. Inside the Cabinet in the Inn.
  2. Running around the center of town.

ELUTA

  2. Inside the cabinet of the SE house.
  3. Running around near the treasure chests in the Well. In order to solve the pot puzzle you have to touch the pots. This will warp you to a different location, but the pot you touch will move away. Keep making a pathway by touching the pots around the Goblin to get to it.
SAN CLAN FORTRESS
  1. Running around.
  2. Inside the second cabinet from the far right in the first room from the entrance to the Fortress.
FROSTIVEN
  1. Inside the left cabinet in the Inn.
  2. Running around town
  3. Inside the cabinet of the N house with the man and woman living inside.

AIRSHIP CAVE, NW OF LOUTENRECK
  1. Running around the left path from the entrance
WESTERN MINES, W OF GREENVALE
  1. NE of the stairs to B1 in B2, head up the north path and around the corner and you should see him. You can find the stairs on B1 by touching the rocks at the dead end west past the dead body.
NORTHERN RUINS, N OF FORTRESS
  1. Running around just north of the entrance.
EASTERN WOODS, E OF FORREN / W OF FORTRESS
  1. Running around the NW path toward the lake.
WIND'S GRAVEYARD, E OF FORREN PAST EASTERN WOODS
  1. Running around B2 on the way to the S Stairs.
GEM MINES, S OF FORREN
  1. F1, running around the NW area near a chest.
SOUTHERN FOREST CLEARING (NW-MOST CLEARING / S OF FORREN)

  1. NE B1, the Hari area. Running around in the NW part.
  2. SW B1, the Kara area. Running around. Follow the path.
SOUTHERN FISHING VILLAGE (SW OF ELUTA / SE PART OF THE DESERT)
  1. Running around at night.
SOUTHERN FOREST, W OF FISHING VILLAGE
  1. Running around the N path.
SWAMP KING'S DESERT TOWER, W OF ELUTA IN THE DESERT MOUNTAINS
  1. Running around the corridor on F3.
HIDDEN CAVE, SE OF SAN CLAN FORTRESS
  1. Running around the SE part of the forest area. You have to touch the correct indent in a dead end in the NE corner of the cave to get outside.
SOUTHEAST CEMETARY, SE OF FROSTIVEN
  1. Running around the center of B1 at night, sometimes up near the N staircase. The area is very wide so this one can be a little tricky to spot if you don't run north immediately after using the staircase down.
ICE CAVE, W OF FROSTIVEN IN THE ICE PLAINS
  1. Take the center staircase in B1 that heads toward the Dream Flower and find it running around the east side of that B2 area. The area is very wide so this one can be a little tricky to spot if you don't run E and then S immediately after using the staircase down.
TEMPLE OF LIGHT, E OF THE WESTERN WATCHTOWER
  1. Running around F3 on the E side.
SWAMP KING'S SNOW TOWER, NE OF THE WESTERN WATCHTOWER
  1. Running around the F3 corridor.
POISON CAVE, SW OF ABANDONED TOWN IN THE POISON
  1. Running around the SW hallway in B2, past the Infected Prayer Camp and on the way to the miniboss guarding the Sun's Blessing artifact.

  1. Running around the N part of F2
Rewards
You get rewarded according to the number of goblins caught by entering the jar goblin jar and going through the doors that unlock when you have turned in the required number of goblins.

Endings (spoilers)
There are different endings depending on the number of goblins caught.

1. Find all the Jar Goblins.

Rewards: All listed above. For the EXP, say that you do not want to return to the outside world after you turn in the last goblin then talk to him again to trigger it.

Ending: Your party has saved the world's pots from destruction. If the goblins had been left out there is no telling what would have happened. They all now wait patiently in their prison for another opportunity to escape.

2. Don't find all the Jar Goblins.

Ending: The Jar Goblins wreck havok on the jars of the world. After destroying every jar they turn their focus to "the world beyond the skies."

Note that if you never go into the Jar they never escape and you will not see this variant in the ending.
Notes
  • The last goblin in Loutenreck Castle only appears once the other 54 have been caught.
  • The one in the Cemetary SE of Frostiven is usually running around the center of B1 at night but sometimes is hanging out near the N stair. If you can't find him, exit the area to reset its position
