COD4 Console Commands & CFGs

This guide will give you helpful console commands that will expand your gameplay experience.

General

These are general console commands.

1. /Disconnect
   
2. /Reconnect
   
3. /Connect (then enter the IP address to your favorite server)
   
4. /quit

Maximizing gameplay experience.

If you want to tweak graphics to increase your FPS in the game, use the console by pressing "~" button then type these commands.

1. /cg_drawfps 1
   
2. /cg_drawlagometer 1
   
3. /com_maxfps 125
   
4. /cg_fov 80
   
5. /r_drawdecals 1
   
6. /maxpackets 100
   
7. /r_drawsun 0
   
8. /cg_brass 0
   
9. /sm_enable 0
   
10. /cl_packetdup 1
    

Having fun offline

These commands will help you explore COD4 on your own server. You can discover new areas of maps, and test weapons. To create a server follow the screenshots listed.





Once you have setup your server. You can execute the commands listed in "Having fun offline".

1. God mode - /god
   
2. God mode - /demigod
   
3. No clip - /noclip
   
4. Recieve every weapon - /give all
   
5. Full ammunition - /player_sustainammo 1
   
6. Add a laser sight - /cg_LaserForceOn 1
   
7. Enemies ignore you - /notarget
   
8. Change maps - /devmap mp_crash (insert the map title)
   
9. Set gravity; default is "39" - /jump_height [number]
   
10. Set speed; default is "1.00" - /timescale [number]
    
11. Better vision - /r_fullbright 1

To execute these maps, type /devmap (then the map name of your choosing) into your console.

hylton, thankfully there is still a strong community of servers that still play on the old version of the game (the one before steam patched it), but you'll need an .exe of the older version to run it. Not so sure on the up to date steam version
