More Than a Guest and Lucky Dip

These achievement are only accessible after you've finished the game (gotten The Reflection achievement) by telling SB in the chat window that you're done. After you watch the credits, you can continue your game and in the query box, type ADMIN_UNLOCK. This will give you the "More Than a Guest" achievement.

If you type ADMIN_RANDOM, you will get a random video retrieved and obtain the "Lucky Dip" achievement.

Unlock All Video Clips (8 related achievements)

The following achievements will be received from accessing all of the video clips:











As I said, it's best to play the game through first, but whether you start fresh or not, the following tips will help you.

It's important to note that the DB Checker app shows what entries you've viewed. Green ones have been viewed and red have not. Though you can't directly get a number from this, it will be one way to keep track of your progress.

Strategy #1

This is by far the easiest and quickest way. Use the search term BLANK. This will hits all 271 entries because BLANK is the default user tag supplied. You are limited to only viewing five of these at a time but if you delete the user tag (by selecting it and hitting backspace), then the BLANK tag will not exist for that video and you will uncover more unviewed videos the next time you search for BLANK. In this way, you can chronologically uncover all the videos.

This list is complete and will unlock all the video clips. There may be faster ways but this is guaranteed to and it does also follow a very loose forward progression overall

If you type ADMIN_UNLOCK (again, only accessible if you've finished the game and have "The Reflection" achievement), you will be able to retrieve 15 queries per search. This will make querying much easier.

Strategy #3

Please note: This strategy using the admin commands can only be unlocked after choosing to finish the game initially. Watch the credits and you'll see the commands. You will still be able to continue your existing game to unlock the rest of the video clips.

Type ADMIN_UNLOCK to gain access to administrator privileges (and the "More Than a Guest" Achievement). Type ADMIN_RANDOM into the search query. You will get a random video (and the "Lucky Dip" achievement) and eventually you will view all of them.

Strategy #4

Navigate to your Steam Library and find the directory for this game (usually something like "SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\HER STORY"). Then navigate further down to "\HerStory_Data\StreamingAssets". In this directory are all the movie files that correspond to the database clips in the game. They go in order with the DB Checker. Start viewing them and choose important keywords from each video to search for. When you view it in game, refresh your DB checker and you should see the corresponding entry is green. This can be a little tedious but you will unlock everything.

IMPORTANT

There are eight videos where only one (common) word is said. To access these, you must use actual double quotes (not single quotes or two single quotes) around the word.

The Reflection

During the game, a "Chit Chat" button will appear on the screen, allowing you to chat with an SB (Sam Barlow, perhaps?). It will ask if you're still researching or not. If you say no, you can continue to research. If you say yes twice, then the game will end and you will get this achievement.

Score Draw

In the Rubbish Bin, there is a file called Mirror Game. If you double click it will begin playing a mini-game. This game works essentially the same as Reversi/Othello[en.wikipedia.org] (and here's some strategy tips[radagast.se]). To get the achievement, both player scores must be equal to each other (a draw or tie).

I initially achieved this by playing a few times and choosing random tiles so the score was close and then hoping the last few plays would achieve a tie. When you make a move with one player, try to make the other player's move the opposite (either along the vertical or horizontal center). This should keep the score close.
