Character Synergies DST

This guide is here to help you with picking characters that will work well together. Keep in mind that most characters with Wigifrid are a good synergy because she can craft a powerful spear and cheap helmet for others, and there will be no workshop characters on this list!

Wigifrid and Webber

Wigifrid and Webber-
Wigifrid is able to craft powerful spears and helmets as well as having a 1.5x damage multiplier while Webber can provide plentiful silk. Webber can also set up a pen for spiders by crafting+placing spider eggs and surrounding them with walls. It is not advised for one to do this too close to their base because the spiders could get out/ attack the walls, meaning they have to be monitored/wiped out once every night. Spider dens upgrade over time, or can be upgraded with silk. Try not to let the eggs get past tier 2, to keep it under control. Although since wigifrid can so easily craft the battle spear and her battle helmet this shouldn't be too big of a problem. Wigifrid can clear out the spider pen, alotting plentiful silk, healing glands and of course monster meat for (which webber can eat at no downside). You'll have to be careful not to destroy the eggs, or you'll have to find a swamp and craft them all over again.

When playing Wendy, Abigail works well with this method too.

Wolfgang And Wendy

Wolfgang, who requires vast amounts of food to become MIGHTY! can easily protect wendy for a few days untill she can summon abigail, destroyer of all things holy. By the time wendy is able to summon abigail, abigail and wolfgang can go ape, as long as your willing to have to constantly hunt to feed wolfgang, since meat won't be hard to come by with several ponds along with large quantities of berry bushes and beefalo/koalefants. During Winter abigail and Wolfgang can tear up pengulls, the MacTusk party, maybe even a tall fort. Wendy can still use the firestaff to do indirect fire damage at no damage penalty, or an ice staff to immobilize the enemy while abigail and wolfgang go ape. You will likely require 6-7 farms to feed wolfgang, as well as 10 drying racks for both of you and atleast 1 crockpot. (3 or 4 iceboxes is useful as well, but thats common sense.)

Wicker And WX78

This one becomes handier later in the game, when wicker has the materials to creat the book "The End is Nigh". She can use this book to supercharge Wx78, making him faster and give off light. It is highly advised the Wicker wears a rain hat or eyebrella since the lightning from The End Is Nigh can hit wicker (as well as trees, bushes, etc). A fully upgraded Wx78 with System Overload is a force to be reckoned with. Wicker can also put mobs to sleep, spawn tentacles, grow crops, and spawn birds with her books. this considered makes wicker a great source of food, at the cost of sanity drain and inability to sleep.

Wicker And Wolfgang

Wicker, as afore mentioned is a great source of food. With her book on birds (Birds of The World) she can spawn 20-30 birds around her, and play a pan flute or her book (Sleepytime Stories) to put the birds all to sleep. They can then be systematically executed one by one for a surplus of feathers and morsels. Most of the morsels should be fed to Wolfgang, to make him MIGHTY!. Wolfgang doesn't have to be mighty 100% of the time, but he should have a large amount of food in his inventory at all times. Although (to my current understanding) Belts of Hunger aren't available as of yet due to cave content not being in the game, there are mods to add cave content back. (6 slurper pelts, 2 rope, 2 nightmare fuel, requires shadow manipulator) Wickers book Applied Horiculture can also aid with crops, (unless in winter) as it progresses their growth.

I know this place hasn't been commented on in ages, but a great combo, personally, is Wolfgang and WX. While it takes heaps of food to supply Wolfgang, WX doesn't need sustenance often. Not to mention that, while Wolfgang can attempt to take down certain things the gears from anything clockwork can both be used for the crafting and upgrading of WX.
