When the game saves (at a checkpoint) every badge you collected until that checkpoint is saved

If you are missing one go to the locations and see if it's there

I spent a good two hours meticulously going over every inch of the map trying to find the ninth patch, with NVG both on and off, before deciding to check any external information. I'm sure Kojima felt amazingly clever putting the last patch on Snake's pack, especially with how big a deal the cut-scene tries to make it, but honestly it comes off as being assholish. Thanks for the guide.

Precise instructions for rolling since it's quite confusing. Using default keymapping:
* long press C (to go prone)
* hold right mouse button (to aim weapon)
* hold either left or right (to start shuffling sideways)
* tap shift (to "dash" sideways into a roll)

Do that back and forth a lot and the patch cutscene will trigger.
