How to FIX the clay texture/Low resolution problem.
By Crystal Grenedier
Hello and Welcome. If you're like me You purchased Legendary the game and Were hoping to get a good expierence from playing the game. You start out well enough with a rather well textured opening scene and into aswell as Prolougue video to the game. But with in the First 5 seconds of loading the first level, The textures appearantly turn into roughly molded Clay. My guide will make a definitve way to HOPEFULLY fix this problem for people on ANY graphics card system.

DISCLAIMER: Make back ups of the files I have you edit in the guide BEFORE you edit them. I will not be responsible for anything you screw up on your own.

Step 1.)
What you need to do first is locate One specific Directory. Your My Documents Directory. I'll leave both locations here for both bit system types just incase.

(32bit)
My documents Directory: C:\Users\(Your account Name here)\Documents\My Games\Legendary

(64bit)
C:\Users\(Your Account Name Here.)\Documents\My Games\Legendary\PandoraGame\Config
Step 2.)
Now what you need to do is in the folder you opened Click and open the PandoraCompat.Ini file Here is what the files should look like In the Folder you opened in step 1.
Step 3.)
Here comes the Tedious Part. You'll see that in the Ini Configuration files that Nearly Every last set of code strings are set to false and a Low resolution will be selected. Here is one example below of the code string. The App Compat buckets Are numbered 1-5 and they are all the same.

[AppCompatBucket1]
StaticDecals=Flase
DynamicDecals=Flase
DynamicLights=Flase
DynamicShadows=Flase
LightEnvironmentShadows=Flase
CompositeDynamicLights=Flase
DirectionalLightmaps=Flase
MotionBlur=False
DepthOfField=Flase
Bloom=Flase
UseHighQualityBloom=Flase
Distortion=Flase
DropParticleDistortion=Flase
SpeedTreeLeaves=Flase
SpeedTreeFronds=Flase
OnlyStreamInTextures=Flase
LensFlares=Flase
FogVolumes=Flase
FloatingPointRenderTargets=Flase
Trilinear=Flase
OneFrameThreadLag=Flase
UseVsync=Flase
UpscaleScreenPercentage=Flase
Fullscreen=True
AllowD3D10=Flase
EnableHighPolyChars=Flase
SkeletalMeshLODBias=1
ParticleLODBias=2147483647
ShadowFilterQualityBias=-1
MaxAnisotropy=0
MaxMultisamples=1
MinShadowResolution=32
MaxShadowResolution=512
ResX=800
ResY=600
Step 4.)
What you want to do now is change that Mess to something more suited to our own PC and it's capabilities. So you need to turn All falses, (The ones you know your pc can handle.) To True. Also It's not really needed but if you want and know that your pc can handle it. You can add your max Anisotropy count. When finished Your string should look Similar to or just like this.

[AppCompatBucket1]
StaticDecals=True
DynamicDecals=True
DynamicLights=True
DynamicShadows=True
LightEnvironmentShadows=True
CompositeDynamicLights=True
DirectionalLightmaps=True
MotionBlur=False
DepthOfField=True
Bloom=True
UseHighQualityBloom=True
Distortion=True
DropParticleDistortion=True
SpeedTreeLeaves=True
SpeedTreeFronds=True
OnlyStreamInTextures=True
LensFlares=True
FogVolumes=True
FloatingPointRenderTargets=True
Trilinear=True
OneFrameThreadLag=True
UseVsync=True
UpscaleScreenPercentage=True
Fullscreen=True
AllowD3D10=True
EnableHighPolyChars=True
SkeletalMeshLODBias=1
ParticleLODBias=2147483647
ShadowFilterQualityBias=-1
MaxAnisotropy=0
MaxMultisamples=1
MinShadowResolution=32
MaxShadowResolution=512
ResX=1366
ResY=768

You will need to do this to all 5 Appcompat bucket strings. So DON'T get lazy.
Final Step.)
Now comes the Easy part. All you do when done altering the files s make sure you didn't make a mistake and change something you didn't understand. Save the work you did and then launch the game from steam or desktop.
Outro.)
You're Game should now look as It's supposed to and run at what ever resolution and settings you just modified. Those of you who are well adept at changing preference and Config files should pick right up on this and be able to further modify the game to even Greater capabilities then normal. But for others. This simple 6 step guide Should help everyone who buys the game have a better playing experience over all. And if not, Just send me a message or comment on the guide if your problems persist and i'll see what i can do to help you.

Now Your initial first run of the game has a slight chance of becoming Unresponsive and not loading you into the game. That's Normal, what you do in case this happens is close the game launcher, Re-open the folder and delete the entire Config folder. The game itself (On that initial first run) will have cloud saved your manual changes to the game and the next game launch you do should have your normal manually set high quality settings with everything looking as good as the game can get. The last thing you need to change is the Resolution from 640x400 to something more your style say 1280x720 or something.

I use resolution 1920 by 1080 and i think the game is really Good, graphics are crispy and polished and move very fluidly. I did have this problem on NecroVision Lost Company though. But it doesnt support my Big ass TV screen, Im using a Sony Bravia HD TV as my monitor though. Big as and fun to play on.

Great tweak, improved everything immensely. Thank you. Unreal engine ini files are a bit tricky to mess with, saved me a lot of trial and error (mostly error) :)
