CAFE 0 ~The Drowned Mermaid~ Endings Guide

A simple guide on how to reach the various endings. Minor spoilers included.

Intro

The following guide contains the choices that will help you reach all of the six endings in the game. One is a general bad ending, four of them are the good/bad endings related to the character/route you decide to follow and the last one is a true ending that will give you much more information on the story (and will require you to have completed the four main endings first).

So, you begin the game on Day 1 and you have six more days to get more info about what happened. Depending on the choices you might notice a white butterfly or a black butterfly appearing. Those show you if you have made a "Good" choice or "Bad" choice respectively and will give you another piece of what you are looking for. Your purpose for the four main character endings is to gather all the pieces before the last day. If you fail to do that, you will get the Bad Ending.

On each of the following guides, when a character's name is mentioned each day, it shows who you should pick at the start of the day when you get the menu with the three characters, Kawase Ami, Mizutani Tooru and Takizawa Shou.

I've listed the following ending guides in the order they appear on the Extras - Endings screen but my suggestion would be to play the game once without a walkthrough for the first time by picking whatever you'd like (and most likely getting the Bad Ending first instead of last) just to get a feel of the characters and the setting, but that's up to you.

Tooru Good End

With this ending you will unlock the Cap item as well as Tooru's "Good" route. You will notice white butterflies appearing on every choice you make and changes to your reflection as you progress through the game.

Day 2 - Tooru - That's good.
Day 3 - Tooru - I'm sorry.
Day 4 - Tooru - I'm glad that he finally trusts me.
Day 5 - Tooru
Day 6 - Tooru

Tooru Evil End

With this ending you will unlock the Broken Bracelet item as well as Tooru's "Evil" route. You will notice black butterflies appearing on every choice you make and changes to your reflection as you progress through the game.

Day 2 - Tooru - Did you dump me?
Day 3 - Tooru - Then just close your eyes.
Day 4 - Tooru - He's too suspicious.
Day 5 - Tooru
Day 6 - Tooru
 
 

Broken Bracelet acquired!

Shou Good End

With this ending you will unlock the Photo item as well as Shou's "Good" route. You will notice white butterflies appearing on every choice you make and changes to your reflection as you progress through the game.

Day 2 - Shou - I'm so embarrassed.
Day 3 - Shou - Have you ever touched my hand before?
Day 4 - Shou - Stay quiet.
Day 5 - Shou
Day 6 - Shou

Photo acquired!

Shou Evil End

With this ending you will unlock the Necklace item as well as Shou's "Evil" route. You will notice dark butterflies appearing on every choice you make and changes to your reflection as you progress through the game.

Day 2 - Shou - I'm going to die soon! What should I do?
Day 3 - Shou - What's that photo?
Day 4 - Shou - Forbidden love?!
Day 5 - Shou
Day 6 - Shou

Necklace acquired!

True End

This is a true end where you will find out most of what happened. You need to have acquired all other items before attempting it, because you will not complete it without the Cap, the Necklace, the Photo and the Broken Bracelet. No butterflies in this one but you will notice changes in your reflection as you gather more information. Also, I don't think the order of the items makes any difference so I just listed them as they appear.

Day 2 - Ami - Show her something. - Cap.
Day 3 - Ami - Show her something. - Broken Bracelet.
Day 4 - Ami - Show her something. - Necklace.
Day 5 - Ami - Show her something. - Photo.
Day 6 - Ami

Bad End

This ending won't give you anything except the Bad End entry on the Extras menu.

This is pretty easy to get, unless you are going for any of the other endings. Simply make choices that don't give you butterflies, so an example of choices could be the following (I picked Ami's choices for the Bad End, since they haven't been covered on the previous playthroughs, so they give you some more information) :

Day 2 - Ami - Ask her something. - How did I use to be?
Day 3 - Ami - Ask her something. - What's my hobby?
Day 4 - Ami - Ask her something. - What's my favorite subject?
Day 5 and Day 6 - You can pick anyone for the last couple of days, as it won't make a difference any more, plus all options have been exhausted if you followed the previous guides.
