Achievement - Beast Master - Part 3 - Yangs Tale

A complete bestiary for the third chapter of the game - Yangs Tale

This is also an achievement guide and we will be getting these achievements throughout the series:

1. Taming the Wild (30% total Bestiary)
   
2. A Tale to Tell (100% of one Tale)
   
3. The Point of no Return(60% total Bestiary)
   
4. Beast Master(100% total Bestiary)

When looking online it was hard to find a bestiary that was in the correct order or had the correct creatures due to the multiple versions of the game available. I cobbled together this resource from various forums and the Wikia and then followed through the first chapter myself to validate everything. I intend to follow this guide with a Bestiary for each chapter as I go!

I am going to lay this out in two ways:

1. 1. The optimal or first location encountering an enemy broken down by area. (Scripted encounters will be considered optimal)
   
2. 2. A complete list from the Bestiary in numerical order.

If you are having trouble locating a monster listed in a specific zone then scroll to the bottom to see where else you might find it.

Per the old comments, Mom Bomb does not have to die to count towards completion but the Red Dragon does! Also, as per original game strategy, always kill the captian before his grunts so he doesn't run away. Thank you for this reliable list, A*I*G!!

The one thing I wish they would add to the game but probably not would be alternate costumes since they seem to have the code for FF4 rydia, edge, kain and the others. Also would love to see tellah come back somehow. But maybe this can be done in mods, rather liked kains dark suit more than his end game one.

Yeah I really enjoyed the game as well, I played through it with the hooded man unconscious so he didn't gain any levels and then leveled him up as his true identity after, it was a pain but he's so strong if you do all his stat growth after the reveal!

Yea its been very helpful, this games a blast even better than 4, well least in gameplay imo, story I guess could of been more original but I love the new characters and the fan service basically giving us all the FF4 characters plus new ones. As well as a more involved tech system from chrono trigger, one of the most fun turn based games I've played in a long time. Dunno why people bash it but I guess cause this versions missing some content.

Yeah the links are the best I could do, there are so many versions of this game and they all have different bestiaries and different creatures in different spots in it. It's one of the reasons I made my own guides.

So if anyone has this same issue with yang be sure to check captain cause he'll still be on the bestiary but not really.

I found what I was missing it was the captain he ran away in the first game I played but it still showed him on the bestiary just in ?? I think the gamefaq link may be related to another after years, or might of been confused like I was. Took me hours to finally realize it. Sorry for the confusion.

Ok.. Killed the mom bomb over 13 times and still at 97% this is really frustrating thanks square, should I move on is this even possible?

Just wanted to let everyone know about this, it happened to me now I guess I have to replay the tail again to get mom bomb, this could confuse quite a few players and should be mentioned in this guide. Great bestiary guides btw.

Squares really good at putting hidden roadblocks in their games.
