Simple Checkpoint Guide

How to build a simple, not complex checkpoint.

What is a checkpoint/How will this help me?
A checkpoint that all parts of your prison lead to, or prisoners have to pass through this spot in order to get to other parts of the prison will benefit on keeping your contraband supply at a minimum level. Heres a screenshot of all the contraband seized in 7 days total throughout all of my prison.
How would I construct this checkpoint?
The screenshot below should be self explanatory.
Just remember, in order for your prisoners to leave/go back to their cell blocks, they should have to pass through the checkpoint, like in the screenshot below
Checkpoint Aid/Security
Not too far from the checkpoint, you should have a checkpoint management room for general security purpose.
Checkpoint deployment
Heres also a screenshot on a deployment screen view of the checkpoint. Armed guard in the middle so prisoners who pass through are suppressed and if they resist when being searched, the guard can handle them easily. Also dogs next to each cell block entrance to sniff out contraband items that cant be detected by the metal detector.

That about sums up the checkpoint, but just remember that contraband can be scheduled to be thrown over the walls of your yard and so forth, so this won't stop all contraband (if you stopped all contraband from coming in, the game would be no fun) so this is a smart way to stop most contraband w/o breaking the game.

Thanks for the update, My dog guards are lazy! They seem to just stay in one place! Even know they are NOT resting or anything. I have routes setup mainly around the outside of the prison, so they can detect tunnels etc. So I dont know why they are inactive? Or are they ment to be even? It be also nice if someone can write a cell guide ie, what objects to put in for min, med or max requirements. Mostly sometimes mine seems to be too low or not high enough or something like that. Sorry its a long comment.

I learned something new on why a classroom near an armory with 5 idle armed guards had no contentration.

@Armed Avacado At the time, that wasnt a feature. I havent played the game actively in years so you'd know best.

Armed guards cause suppression to nearby prisoners, which reduces concentration for reform programs(although I don't know how much is caused by such a short hallway). Might be better to replace the armed guard with a normal guard (to search any prisoner caught by detectors), and keep armed guards in the security office (I think they idle there anyway), near enough to rush in when there's trouble.

@leepafc2007 The save is very outdated, I can if you'd like, but alot of the new features wouldn't work. The save is currently two years old.

Can you upload this so we can subscribe to it and play it please? Like a mod or something I want this in my prison but can never get the door servos to work or nothing like that please eNobleBiceps thanks

No problem, and the prison was supposed to be 100% symmetrical structure wise. Enjoy it.
