How to build a basic HeliCopter
Autorstwa: ConQueefTador
This is the first Real guide about building a helicopter
In this guide you will learn how to build a basic choppy in Robo Craft. I start by showing you and explaining how this all will work and comes together and towards the end make a little bit better design then just lines, i give it some details

Section 1 The basic knowledge
A helicopter is an aerial vehicle, The main advantages of these vehicles are their speed and maneuverability while covering vast areas in a short amount of time. But it has little to no armor and not much fire power, because the more it weighs the less it can maneuver and without that, it becomes useless. While in the air a helicopter has no cover so it must keep moving, hovering is very dangerous. You want to keep in mind that the helicopter just like any other aerial vehicle has to have a center gravity, and you want to keep this in the center as much as possible to keep balance. The helicopter has its advantages over most ground vehicles, You want to keep these things in mind even while flying, never show your back to an enemy and only hover when necessary. Though you want to avoid SMG and Rail gun tanks as much as possible you will not win. I do not own any of these pictures used in this section, they belong to who ever uploaded them to google.
Main rotor blade -The main rotor blade performs the same function as an airplane's wings, providing lift as the blades rotate, lift being one of the critical aerodynamic forces that keeps aircraft aloft. A pilot can affect lift by changing the rotor's revolutions per minute (rpm) or its angle of attack, which refers to the angle of the rotary wing in relation to the oncoming wind.

Rotor mast -Also known as the rotor shaft, the mast connects the transmission to the rotor assembly. The mast rotates the upper swash plate and the blades.

Tail boom -The tail boom extends out from the rear of the fuselage and holds the tail rotor assemblies. In some models, the tail boom is nothing more than an aluminum frame. In others, it's a hollow carbon-fiber or aluminum tube.

Anti-torque tail rotor -Without a tail rotor, the main rotor of a helicopter simply spins the fuselage in the opposite direction. It's enough to make your stomach heave just thinking about all that endless circling. Thankfully, Igor Sikorsky had the idea to install a tail rotor to counter this torque reaction and provide directional control. In twin-rotor helicopters, the torque produced by the rotation of the front rotor is offset by the torque produced by a counterrotating rear rotor.
Section 2 Getting Started with the Cockpit & front
I start by getting 2 blocks off the ground using other blocks and taking them away and leaving 2 behind and putting the seat on, the length and width is 1X2
Then i start to make a box around the seat for protection, i add 2 blocks on each side and then 1 ontop of them to raise the build above the seat and then make a rectangle which is 1X4
Then i extend it by 2 on each side so now it is a 7X4
then i add 3 Aero rods on each side of the build for a total of six, i add them to the back 3 blocks
At the top of the Aero rods i place a total of 5 blocks the 2 on the sides are 2 high and the bottom is 3 long that connects both sides for a 2X3 the middle is where i will put the Rotor
Then i place the rotor
then i take away 2 blocks the ones on the side of the bottom right on top of where the seat is to make it more smooth
Then i add blocks to the front to make a nose and look nicer, which is a 1X4, 1X3, 1
Then i add 3 Prism's on each side to make it smooth
Then i head back to the top of the chopper and add blocks right next to the seat which is 5X1 and then 1 at the end in the middle of them making sure to leave 1 space to the side so i can add Prism's later to make it smooth
Right on the sides where the 2 spaces next to the middle block is empty i put 2 inner blocks and 1 Prism to the front
After i add those i add 2 Tetra blocks to the sides of that Prism
and on the other side of the inner i add another Tetra on both sides for a total of 2
Remember when i said leave the sapce between the blocks and the Aero Rods now is where we fill them with Prism blocks
Now i head to the bottom of the Chopper to help put togeather the CockPit, i take the 2 blocks on each side of the very bottom and replace them with Prism blocks
After that i add a Prism block pointing up and 2 Tetra blocks to the side of this Prism block i do this to the front as well as the back
To top that off i add 1 cube block ontop of the Prism block and 2 more Prism blocks to the side of this cube i do this to the front as well
Here is the front
Section 3 creating the Body & Sides
Dead center of the CockPit i add 3 Cubes and 3 Prisms onto of the Cubes to start to make the body
i Extend the body to 10 blocks total so it is 3 long 10 wide 3X10 and on the 5th block i add to make the wings still 3 wide and 7 long on each side 7X3
I add 1 cube block 3 long to the top and bottom of the end of the Wings 3X1
Then on the top and bottom i do this to both sides i add 3 Prisms for a total of 6, 3 long 1 wide 3X1
Add Cubes in the middle of them 3X1
Then repeat on with the Prisms to the other side of the Wing
to make it more smooth add Prims side ways where the wings start and where the CockPit touches the body
Ontop of the Prisms that are from the CockPit touching the body add an Tetra block to both sides for a total of 2
Add 2 Prisms to the otherside of the Wings as well, this makes it look nicer
Section 4 Tail
Time to Start on the Tail, i extend the body by 4 so it is 3X4 and then on the last 2 blocks i start what i like to call a stair case 5 high with Prism blocks to smooth it out
Also add Prisms to the back of the tail to make it look like a tail
Time to add the back 2 Rotors, add them to the very top on both sides
Now we will start to shape the Rotors Protection, this will add protection and give it more of a chopper look, Add 2 Prisms to the Rotors front
Then to the back of the Rotor, add 2 more Prisms
Add Tetras to the corners of the Prism blocks now to give it shape
The top here add 3 Cubes
Lets head back to the front of the tail and remove those 3 Prism blocks
Add 3 Cubes instead
Add the 3 Prisms that we removed to the top of these cubes now
And repeat to the back
and just repeat everything that was done on the front to the back
Section 5 Guns & Armor
Add 4 guns to the bottom 1 in the front on the CockPit 1 to the back on the Tail center cube and in the dead center of the 3 cubes that make the wing
Now add 2 guns to the top of the wings center cube
Now add armor to the top and bottom

Choppy Concept Ideas
It has come to my attention that some people may not like my simple concept for the chopper, so i have come up with a solution. I welcome anyone to send me some pictures of their basic chopper and if it is well enough and simple ennough so people can understand it then i will add it. Two pictures only though. This is also for some people who are not as creative as others are, that is okay i got you :)

This is a simple 4 rotor choppy, it doesnt seem to go as fast as the basic choppy in this guide but that is because the rotors in the back are not turned on their side.
Finished look
This is the other concept using the same basic frame as the 4 rotor
Here is another concept
Finished look.
Here is the original helicopter from this guide.

@endertrolledyou, at the start of this guide you had to make a real helicopter to make it work right but now they arent this way. just stick a blade or two on the top and it works no matter what

you put pictures of hwo to make a real helicopter. this is robocraft not rl.
good guide still

lighter blocks, thrusters but then its not a real heli, your best bet would be to take off a lot of things at that point

and if my heli is too heavy and i dont want to add more blades what can i do?

lol basic
ConQueefTador  [autor] 26 listopada 2015 o 15:02
that is the point also to make it look more real

The tail rotors on the back of the first chopter (LoL) are just a waste of RP. You need to have the rotors facing up, not sideways. Which means you'll need at least a Chinook style helicopter to be able to turn. With only those tail totors, they add weight and your copter will only be able to strafe.
