What can I stick in the Chemistry Station
Interestingly, no Raw->Chemical I've tested so far work in the station. The chemistry station is for plant materials. But not just ANY plant materials. Must be Raw->Organic AND plant.

Plant drops that DON'T work, because they are minerals:
Proto: cellulose, roots
Cryo: bud, bark

Good Plants:
Proto: vine, leaf, seed, plasma
Cryo: phyll,bloom,sap,serum

Also, you cannot get any barrens plants into the chemisty station, those go in the Augmentation Station (perhaps, but not yet)
Infusion notes
Infusions cannot be used simultaneously, so using a potion replaces any potion effect currently on the character.

They generally last 5 minutes, but the health regen potions seem to last 3 seconds (more a heal than a regen buff).

As of March 2016, still get the "no recipe has (3,4,5) inputs" whenever you try to make anything with 3,4, or 5 ingredients.
What can I stick in the Augmentation Lab? (nothing as of March 2016)
Two answers: a) Tokens, and b) why bother, it doesn't do anything.

Tokens seem to be the only thing that will stay in the Augmentation Lab, you can find them currently under the Science->Ingredients tab. There are 11 tokens in total. They are made while standing near the lab, using the science menu. These can then be placed into the Augmentation Lab, to hypothetically make something. Plants become Condensed X and Gems become Powdered (except for Flawless, which cannot be made into a token.)

Unlike the Chemistry Station, this appears to have only 5-ingredient recipes, based on the error messages when you attempt to make the 2-3-4 combination ones. However, I have not found any valid ones so far. If order is important (A+B+C+D+E is not the same as E+D+C+B+A) there are 332640 possible permutations for recipies, if order is not a factor then there are only 462 combinations. I've tested all 462, and all have resulted in "Not a valid recipe".

the desert plants are items you make into the Condensed "augment" bits.

That's why I missed them, they're filed somewhere other than consumables... under ingredients... gee that might be a clue.....

try researching consumables and placing some of the end-game consumables in there
