Setting of the server.

It's 2552, and the Human-Covenant war is about to reach it's peak.

**Marines leaning forward in their seats, MA37s tightly gripped in their hands, the pelican bay is silent as the Sergeant holds his hand with the final finger standing. One minute until deployment... Simultaneously they turn on their recording devices and their eye pieces display once more their first objective. The door of the Pelican opens and they are flying over the water, several pelicans follow close behind in formation. A stray AA shot and one of the Pelicans closely following behind is hit, falling out of the air in a fiery mess. Dying screams fill the radio for a moment before static.**

“We all know the cost of this war; we all know that at any moment life can be taken like that. But we are marines! We are the line in the sand that cannot be crossed. We are the defenders of Humanity and we will fight it to the last breath. ARE YOU WITH ME MARINES?”
“YES SERGEANT!”

**The pelican hovers over the ground barely touching down, the marines charge out leaping from the doors onto the hard ground below. They quickly find themselves some cover and lay down fire to their attackers. The pelican lifts off escaping this hellhole the marines are now in. Any weapon a marine can lay his hands on he is using. This battle has only just begun though…**

Novitas Bloc's server has various factions you can apply for, some more demanding than others. They are listed below.

• Marine Special Operations (MARSOC)
  United Nations Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) is a component command of the United Nations Special Operations Command that comprises the Marine Corps' contribution to SOCOM. Its core capabilities are direct action and special reconnaissance MARSOC has also been directed to conduct counter-terrorism, and information operations.
  
  
• Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODST)
  The Orbital Drop Shock Troopers are a tier-one special forces unit designed to be a quick-insertion, fast-to-action and extremely efficient combatant force. Notable for their exoatmospheric deployment from a UNSC Navy vesse, -- a transport method that has brought on the nickname Helljumpers as well as their motto Feet first into hell!, -- their advanced equipment and tactical brilliance, they are one of the best mainstream outfits the UNSC has at their disposable during war times.
  
  
  
• UNSC Navy
  The UNSC's ferrymen, deconstructionists and navigational experts; the UNSC's very backbone. Tasked with the transport of armed forces, the combat of enemy space-faring vessels and the protection of the human race as a whole, the Navy is held to an extremely high regard and standard. Want something done? You go to the Navy.
  
  
  
• Military Provost
  Rule enforcers aboard UNSC vessels and buildings of importance. In a military aspect, they have their own ranking structure, yet they are separated from other military forces professionally. They are there to maintain order and keep operators in line.
  
  
• Combat Medic
  Combat medics (also known as medics) are military personnel who have been trained to at least an EMT-Basic level, and who are responsible for providing first aid and frontline trauma care on the battlefield. They are also responsible for providing continuing medical care in the absence of a readily available physician, including care for disease and battle injury. Combat medics are normally co-located with the combat troops they serve in order to easily move with the troops and monitor ongoing health.
  
  
  
• Combat Engineers
  Civil engineers, sappers, explosives and repairs; these are all areas of expertise that fall under the branch of the UNSC Combat Engineers. These are the men and women who will keep your weapons firing, your vehicles driving and your barricades bullet-proof. They are also usually the Marines that take care of your annoying tank problems. They pack a heavy punch with an M41.

You can apply for all of these factions at our website. Where upon acceptance you will be granted the whitelist and you can begin to play on your character.

Marine Rank Structure.

The Chain of Command is the heart of the UNSC, and you will abide by it.

Adressing and Saluting

Enlisted Marines are adressed by first name, surname or rank, they are not saluted. Non Comissioned Officers are to be adressed by surname and rank. Commanding Officers are adressed the same along with a salute in formal situations only this means do not salute on the field.

The UNSC Defiance.

"It's not home, but it'll do. I suppose."

The UNSC Defiance FFG-701, Is a Charon Class Light Frigate commissioned by the United Nations Space Command in 2550. The Cruiser holds the 37th UNSC Marine Batallion, along with the 32nd Military Provost Battalion - November Company​ among others. It has a compliment of Mark II, Light Coil - 83B6R3/MAC (1) M58 Archer Missile (50) Pods 30 Missiles 2x M870 Rampart 50mm Point-Defense Network (4) M4093 Hyperion Nuclear Delivery System (3 Silos), Along with Scorpion Tanks (x4) M831 Troop Transport Warthog (1+) Warthogs (9+) Mongooses (3+) Hornets (25+) Pelicans (7+) HEV (12+) Cryo-chambers (10+) Escape pods (12).

Standard Issue

MA37:
The MA37 Individual Combat Weapon System (MA37 ICWS or MA37 Assault Rifle), formally known as the Individual Combat Weapon System, Caliber 7.62 mm MA37 and the MA5 by the UNSC Marines and Navy, is a standard issue service rifle of the UNSC.


M6G Personal Defense Weapon System:
The M6G Personal Defense Weapon System (M6G PDWS) or Magnum is a United Nations Space Command infantry firearm, and is one of the variants of Misriah Armory's M6 sidearm series.



M45 Tactical Shotgun:
The M45 Tactical Shotgun, formally known as the Tactical Shotgun, 8 Gauge, Pump Action, M45, is a shotgun used by the United Nations Space Command Army and Marine Corps.



Sniper Rifle System 99 Anti-Matériel:
The Sniper Rifle System 99 Anti-Matériel, more formally known as the Special Applications Rifle, Caliber 14.5 mm, SRS99, is a United Nations Space Command sniper rifle, used by the UNSC Marine Corps in 2552.



BR55 Service Rifle:
The BR55 Service Rifle, commonly known as the Battle Rifle, is a United Nations Space Command infantry service rifle. It has been in service since 2525. It is the older of the BR55 series rifles. It is most notable for its powerful three-round burst fire and accurate 2x scope, making it more efficient at farther ranges than the MA5 Assault Rifle.



M392 Designated Marksman Rifle:
The M392 Designated Marksman Rifle, more formally known as the Designated Marksman Rifle, Caliber 7.62 mm, M392, and commonly known as the DMR, is a select-fire rifle used by the United Nations Space Command Marine Corps.

Training & Formations.

"You know how to walk, Private?"

A formation (or order) is the arrangement or deployment of moving military forces such as infantry, AFVs, military aircraft, or naval vessels. The UNSC employ's various basic formations. Shown below are the five main formations.



Arrowhead:
An Arrowhead formation is used when assaulting a enemy position, due to it's heavy firepower.

Column:
An Column formation is used commonly when patroling. It's sister formation, the staggerd column, is more commonly used when patroling dangerous areas.

Line:
An Line formation is used mainly for organization, breifings and debreifings ect. It's sister formation, the firing line, is used in combat much more often.

Firing line:
The Firing line formation is two Line line is where there are two lines of Marines in the front and back. The first line crouches, while the second line stands over them. This formation is good for compact areas, but should not be used for open locations.

Diamond:
An Diamond formation is used when protecting a VIP or other person(s).

Box:
An Box formation is also used to protect VIP's, and also to cover all angles from enemy fire.
