My guide and strategies for Killing the sewer monster.

The bathroom on the far right of the level contains 4 bathroom stalls that can safely hide each character.

The Hobo (One of the characters) starts the level holding a shotgun. (Looks kinda like a pipe, but trust me, its a shotgun) The shotgun IS NOT LOADED. and is one of only two ways to hurt the monster.

The left hand side of the bathroom (The ladies room) has a broken toilet, the plunger in the toolbox can be used to fix it. Sitting on the fixed toilet (And waiting for a short time) will cause a shotgun shell to fall from a spider web above it. (Dont ask how it wound up there in the first place.)

Another shotgun shell can be found on the far right of the sewer, to the right of the sewer monster's starting position.

The sewer can be accessed from the far left of the map, If its locked, just smash it with the crowbar, which is also in the bathroom toolbox (Drop or throw it to dispense the items, one at a time.)

The sewer contains several dripping pipes, next to one particuarly green and noticeable one (You'll know it when you see it) there is a valve. The valve CAN ONLY BE USED ONCE. Using the valve causes a burst of dangerous sewage to rush out of the pipe, and is the second way to hurt the monster.

The monster spawns on the far right of the sewer, and WILL NOT MOVE until you approach him. His mask can be knocked off with the crowbar and worn, When approached, he will begin to chase you, slowly. He can only be damaged by the shotgun and sewage pipe.

If unharmed, the monster will proceed to move out of the sewer, and directly to the bathroom, killing anyone in his way. He will check the left side of the bathroom first, then the right. If he cannot find a target (THE STALLS ARE SAFE), he will walk back to the entrance of the sewer, and wait, facing the sewer. Im not sure if it's a bug or not, but he won't turn around if approached there, so the only way into the sewer from that point is to throw a character over his head. He will follow them into the sewer.

The sewer monster must be hurt twice to be killed. (With the sewage or shotgun).

After being injured the first time, the monster will be engullfed by some sort of smoke, and will shortly emerge as a white, rat-thingy. The rat will behave the same as his first form, but is now faster that you.

When his second form is killed, it explodes into a green flash of light. Killing any nearby characters.

And thats it. In total you have 3 chances to hurt the monster, leaving room for one mistake.

The Guide

Here is my method for defeating the monster:

You only need to use one character.

Just stash the others in toilet stalls (I like to leave one stall open on the right hand room) , and place the shotgun on the RIGHT hand side of the sewer valve, it can be either loaded now (With the shotgun shell from the toilet) or loaded later (With the shotgun shell from the sewer).

Walk over towards the sewer monster to lure him away (You can knock off his mask with the crowbar if you have it), run away to the bathroom and hide in a stall, (Perferably the right hand room).

The sewer monster will check the bathrooms, while he checks the bathroom you aren't in (He will allways check the left hand room first, you can use the other characters to check on his location, the stalls are safe) use this time to run back to the sewer and wait by the valve. If you want, you can load the shotgun with the shell from behind the monster's initial position, even if you have the shell from the toilet, it is useful as a backup if you miss with the valve.

After a shprt wait, the monster will arrive, wait for him to walk under the green, dripping pipe (Next to the valve, its rather distinct) and then turn the valve. If you successfully hit it, the monster will be enveloped in smoke. IT IS NOT DEAD.

Get the shotgun (The only other way to damage him) and stand back from the smoke, when the monster charges you, shoot it with the shotgun. MAKE SURE YOU ARENT NEAR THE MONSTER WHEN YOU FIRE, as the monster will explode (The explosion killed me the first time i tried this.)

The monster is now dead, YOU'VE WON!

Sidenote: (if the monster's second form survives long enough to kill the character waiting in the sewers, it will run to the bathroom just like it's first form, checking the left side first. You can use this time to run back to the sewers with a living character to try to hurt it again if you want.)

The shotgun can be used to kill the first form too, and the valve can be used on the second form, just to clarify. But they are the only ways to damage it, and as such should be the basis for any other strategies.

What I do: When entering the sewer bring the hobo with his shotgun. Throw him over the monster and grab the second shell (after getting the first one). Use the character that threw him as bait, lure him to the valve trap. Finish him with the shotgun.

What I do is: hide 3 out of 4 in the bathroom stalls, throw the box to know the mask off, shoot it, then hide behind the ladder, the rat thing will go up the ladder before it gets the guy. Then I just grab the other shell and bam. Ded.

PS: Anyone getting that achivement bug should try ALT tabbing out before closing the game.

I threw popcorn at the monster to remove the mask and then threw the hobo over the monster to get the other shotgun shell and simply shot him and waited for the white thing to appear and then I shot it as well. :)

I've killed the second monster with the crowbar by waiting in the bathroom until it came in and then turned its back then i chased it and hit it with the crowbar a bunch of times in the back but it explodes when it dies so be careful if you try it

What I did was get one guy with a box and with shotgun threw box at monster to get his mask off, shot him once ran back to stalls with my fellow team mates, and got in front of the crawling monster thing, ran with the shotgun to the other shell in the sewers, shot the monster, win.

yuo only get achivements when you end the game for some reason, and you unlock a special mode (I think its called lake of the dead) by 'winning' Lakeview Cabin 3. I haven't yet, but i belive you get it by killing both killers and the lady at the end, (again this is just educated speculation, I haven't succeeded yet.

um i just killed it and i didnt get the achivement also is there a zombie mode if so i cant find it

no that not the only 2 way of damaging him u can throw either the tollbox or the box at the beggining where the black guy is and it will knock down is mask(it technically some way of dmging him but yeah it more safer than the crowbar)
