Dirt3 FOV Changer 0.2.0.0 Info

  • Backing up the files that are about to be modified is never a bad idea.
  • In some cases, you may have to manually point Dirt3FovChange to your DiRT 3 install folder.
  • It is advisable to restore the original files inbetween modifications. This way, the default settings will always be accessible.

[/list]

  • Vertical FOV: a larger number will translate into a wider field of view. (40 being default and 90 max)
  • Adjust FOV for: selects the in-game camera or cameras you want to edit.
  • Head Offset: affects the position of the head-cam (cockpit view). A modification of 0.1 will yield a noticeable change. It is to be noted that the point of view can be placed outside of the car.
  • X: affects the lateral position. A positive value will move the point of view to the left.
  • Y: affects the vertical position. A positive value will move the point of view upward.
  • Z: affects the front/back position. A positive value will move the point of view closer to the dashboard.
  • Head Tilt Change: affects the vertical angle of the camera. Compared to the position values, the tilt value works on a different scale: a modification of 1 will yield a barely noticeable change.A positive value will tilt the camera up.

Thank you for this. They should've had it in the game. Worked first try.

Just curious: what is the default FOV?

...tool used to change only HEAD camera position and field of view.
(for all other cameras you could only change theirs FOV, not position)

Could someone make a dashboard cam mod for a cameraview like Grid Autosport has, would be perfect for people with a screen and steering wheel setup

Would be great if someone will find the way to make mod for DiRT4 CE - STICKY CHASE CAMERA , i.e. chase view with no camera lag/roll/tilt.

Like we had such mod for GRID2 & Grid Autosport, made by AgentX007 [www.racedepartment.com]

Here is description of that mod what i and many racers are dreaming for:

No Lag:
This removes the lag, tilt and roll of the camera when using chase cam views.
The car will stay in the centre of your view when driving instead of the camera swaying
left and right. This makes driving in chase view more like bumper cam mode and
I personally find that it makes driving your car much more precise as it is easier to line
your car up with the apex of corners more accurately.

P.S. I've tried to play with some similar variables in D3 car models cameras.xml by myself, variables that could be found in G2/GA mods, but i wasn't succesful.
