First DOA 5 aid or how to set your keyboard settings for the game.

That was a good reason to celebrate. I could download the game from Steam at last. But soon I got crazy about looking on the internet something which dealt with keyboard settings for Dead or Alive 5 to play the game on PC.

Intro.

If you’re reading this you’ve probably faced the same problem.
But there is actually a salvation. This is a program called Vjoy[www.headsoft.com.au], an emulator of gamepad.
"How to" video + english subtitles:
Full screen + better resolution to comprehend more.

Instruction.
One the page click the third link from below (on the screenshot).

Download and install the program.

Once it’s installed, it appears in your system tray. Click right mouse and open.

Follow the instructions:

Than save your settings (Save ini.) and confirm (OK).

In the game:

To select something or go forward click “throw” button
To get back click “kick” button

The screen where you choose your control device should look like that. Switch between the devices to choose the proper one (Right, Left).

That’s all. Enjoy the game.

If Vjoy settings have disappeared (never happened to me, but some say…). In the programm click “Open ini.” In the program, and then just choose your ini. file and upload it. “OK” to confirm. Setting are set again.

I've got a question. I play on XBOX ONE padm but while everything is fine when I press a direction on a D-pad game thinks I've pressed the button twice. It can mess up some combos. How can I make it work properly?

Yeah, I bought the game. Oh and crazy enough, I'm actually running it on an Intel HD 2500 GPU, and it runs faster than Injustice by far. I'm pretty impressed so far.

I appreciate your effort to write this guide. It provides us with another option.

Thanks for the reply, DeadLegion. Well, the good news is that so far the default keys aren't too bad. Better, the game has a whole lot more difficulty settings, it seems than even Injustice: Gods Amongst Us. I do have a gamepad, I've just never used it. But this fighting game seems a whole lot more logical and fair than even Injustice. The tutorials and training are more complete, and you can learn more even with Spectator watching the slower speed and the move list. I may try out your Vjoy set-up, but this game seems worth using the gamepad if needed, and they seem fairly similar logically, pad or keys.

DedZedNub, yeah, you don't need to buy any gamepad if you use this program. However, there were some cases when people told me that the prog hadn't worked for them. So, i can't garantee you that it'll work for you on 100%. Thus, if you're considering spending money on this game, it has it's risks.

@ Dead Legion

So, if we enable that program with those settings, then we can go in DOA and choose gamepad, and this program makes the program think that our keyboard is a gamepad? But we select gamepad in game, correct?

Sorry about the noob question, but I normally play keyboard, and I'm really close to buying this game. Controls don't seem to bad, in the manual they actually make sense, except perhaps for I for tag and U for strong kick ought to be the other way around, I think.
