Preface
Due to Vlambeer's good humor and consistent updates, they are able to put out marvellous april fools jokes. This year, they added a new playable character. Big. Dog.
Unlocking
Unlocking Big Dog is simple. Beat Big Dog. Yay. No sneaky ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like Horror
You unlocked Big Dog! The hell?
Big Dog is unlocked! He can be easily seen on the title screen hogging much of the heat from the campfire.

Big Dog starts with 2 undroppable weapons, the spin attack and dog missiles, slow movement speed, 300 HEALTH and a collision box the size of the Rose Bowl.

Big Dog is not a convinient character, mostly because he's big. Really big. He can't fit through anything that isn't a 4-lane highway, very slow, and is very easily targeted and damaged. He has and can only have his 2 main attacks: The spin move and the ability to poop out slow moving rockets in bursts of 3. The main gist of big dog is to stay back in a large area, clearing out sightlines with your missles, which are also homing to your cursor, and spinning when things are blocking your missiles or just plain get too close. Enemies like Scorpions can easily block these missiles, as any hit to them causes them to reverse direction. The missiles have a ludicrously high chance to drop ammo when exploded, giving Big Dog nigh infinite ammo. However, the missiles do eat up ammo relatively quick, taking 3 ammo a shot, and can be fired quickly. If you can't get to your missile pickups, or RNG just plain doesn't give you any explosives, you can find yourself stuck outside a hallway, never being able to leave. Overall, try to snipe things that can't see you with missiles, use the spin in places where everyone can see you, and stay as close as possible to your pickup-loaded missiles when clearing walls.
Mutations
USEFUL MUTATIONS:

Extra Feet:
This will make Big Dog's old-lady movement speed noticably faster and more tolerable. It also might make you able to dodge something! WHOA DUDE!

Plutonium Hunger:
This lets you keep some more distance from enemies and your own missiles without having to worry about losing too much rads or pickups

Hammerhead:
There's always gonna be that one odd wall in your way. Hammerhead has got you covered. Remeber, Hammerhead is limited, but your missiles are less so.

Gamma Guts:
Getting close to enemies is rare, but if it happens, it can be annoying, because the spin attack can be easily dodged at close range, even by weird AI. Take Gamma Guts to prevent maggots from doing way more damage than they ever should.

Second Stomach:
As Big Dog, you lose a lot of your health. Fast. Second Stomach gets it back a little quicker.

Last Wish:
You get 300 health from this. 300. Take it if any level leaves you in a terrible situation.

Rabbit Paw/Back Muscle:
These'll pretty much guarentee drops from your missiles. That's about it.

Stress:
You'll be at low health a lot, and Stress lets you create a solid ring of bullets. Not too useful for the missiles, as they have a pretty good firerate.

Sharp Teeth:
If they fixed it, use Sharp Teeth. You've got a huge health pool, might as well do some damage with it.

Scarier Face:
The spin attack doesn't do much damage, so this'll make things die quicker, as per usual.

MUTATIONS THAT ARE USUALLY GOOD BUT ARENT:

Boiling Veins:
Being immune to your own explosions would be nice, but only when you're at 4/300 health? not too useful.

Strong Spirit:
You will never have full health as Big Dog. And even then, damage is taken very rapidly as Big Dog, meaning Strong Spirit probably wouldn't help you anyway.

Throne Butt:
Big Dog's throne butt gives him faster bullets and missiles. This makes the bullets more spread out and miss, and makes the missiles much harder to control.

Trigger Fingers:
Despite what it looks like, Big Dog's attacks actually have decent fire rate. Don't bother with Trigger Fingers.

Bloodlust:
1 health regenerated out of 300. Almost there.

Rhino Skin:
Rhino Skin gives Big Dog an extra 4 health, pushing it to 304 MAN NOW HE'S SUPER BROKE NERF NOW. Seriously though, don't take Rhino Skin.
General Level Play
Desert:

Get in large areas, but leave Scorpions in hallways. Use Spin on close range dudes and any Scorpion who can see you. Use missiles to clear the way, and take out anything around corners without good line of sight. Big Bandit is guarenteed to take out a lot of your health, so stay away from him.

Sewers:

You'll feel very confined. Spin rats and take out Crocs from around corners. They will easily be able to hit you with all pellets, so stay away. Find the Pizza Sewers as soon as possible. The turtles can be surprisingly easily taken out with missiles.

Scrapyard

Nothing is your friend. Kill everything. Missiles on Salamanders and Snipers, Spin on anything that gets too close. Fire traps should be prioritized.

PREPARE FOR THE BIG DOG SMACKDOWN

Caves

Stay really far away from everything.

Frozen City

The biggest problem here will be navigation. Snowbots and Wolves won't be too big of a problem, as they can be easily slowed down/deflected with the Spin. However, if a Tank targets you, you're pretty much dead. Stay away.

LI'L HUNTER WILL KILL YOU. IF YOU GOT THIS FAR, I COMMEND YOU.
