Fixing ubuntu fullscreen resolution issue (14.04)

Guide on how to fix the fullscreen resolution issue, which may occur on ubuntu with unity if your desktop does not feature the same resolution as the game (1920x1080).

Description

It took me way too much time to figure out why my ubuntu laptop decided to randomly mess up showing the fullscreen with this game.

So, if you are using ubuntu (in my case 14.04 LTS) with unity and experience something like this on starting the game, this guide may be helpful:

Solution

Go to /.local/share/Daedalic Entertainment/Deponia 2 and open up config.ini.

Change the set resolution to "Desktop" and you're good to go.

Fixed:
Note: My laptop is an older model and has a 1280x800 display, hence I do have black borders.

It may reset itself after rebooting, so if the issue occurs returns, change it again.
You should not experience this problem, if your screen features a resolution of 1920x1080px.
