And regardless of time period, the fighting styles of each vampire and their evolved skins substantiate the idea that the devs for Nosgoth went in a different direction than those of the LoK series. Granted I'm not saying going in a different direction is a bad thing-it goes with the territory of artistic license.
But again, going off of fighting styles, evolved skins and base skins:
Reaver = not giant juggernauts
Tyrant = not giant telekinetically gifted bats
Deciever = no spiderwebs to be seen
Summoner = Not a zombie that can walk through walls
And honestly if you wanna get really critical, you could argue that none of the vampires look like their LoK counterparts. Reavers are not juggernauts like Dumah and his brood were, Summoners arent lanky zombie-looking things nor are they a giant pile of walking corpses as Melchiah appeared in his boss fight. Zephonim are not spider-peple, and the turelim have no telekinetic ability or batlike characteristics as Turel and his clan did.
