Introduction
Hello fellow "heisters"
In this guide I'll be going over everything you need to know about Shadow raid. Let's start with some basics.
Your Loadout
ANY THING GOES but some are better!
here's my setup and a quick explanation to why I use what I use.

CAR-4 Rifle
A car-4 is your go to long range rifle, assuming is modded for concealment.
Here's the mods I have on it, and you should too.
  • Short Barrel
  • Low Profile Suppressor
  • Auto Fire
  • Competition Foregrip
  • Compact Laser Module
  • Straight Grip
  • THRUST Lower Receiver
  • Vintage Mag. (The official name has that dot at the end, I didn't mess up the pattern)
  • No Sight
  • Folding Stock
  • THRUST Upper Receiver

The Judge Shotgun
This weapon saves you a body-bag in a technique I'll teach you latter own. It's a powerful shotgun, so you don't need to aim head shots on the Murkywater guards, as they have more HP.
  • 000 Buckshot
  • The Silent Killer Suppressor
  • Compact Laser Module
  • No Sight

Any 30 Concealment base melee
I use the Nova's Shank, for making civis go down fast and for the killing potential.

2-Pice Suit
Duhh...

Jammers
If you are doing it solo Jammers are the best way to go, as you can do ECM rushes for the vault loot at the end and prevent ♥♥♥♥ ups.
BUT if you have teammates, one carrying the body bag equip is not a bad idea

Somen Mempo
Best mask in the game cuz is form shadow raid. don't have it? THIS GUIDE MIGHT GIVE YOU ONE!!!

Use stealth skills, you can figure those out on your own
I've rambled about equips too much.
all these things are in the equip order, go for em' 1 by 1 and you'll not have any trouble finding em'
Preplanning
Here's some assets combinations to help you out in your quest.

Standard Assets
These are the ones I use the most for solo, They focus on delivering bags fast and often.
  • Thermite Paste (Sidewalk outside compound)
-By far the best one here, opens up the sewers so you can move bags, it takes a while but it's safe
  • Loot Drop off point (Over compound north wall)
-For moving all the outside cash bags, so it saves you time and effort of moving em' also a hybrid for moving the Armour parts during a ECM rush
  • Bag zip line (to river tug)
-For moving upstairs bags, saves you a lot of time and effort, and avoids those pesky stairs that connect upper and Ware House

Baggy
  • Thermite Paste (Sidewalk outside compound)
-By far the best one here, opens up the sewers so you can move bags, it takes a while but it's safe
  • Body Bags(Intersection)
-For people that ♥♥♥♥ up a lot, these are useful, I'll be teaching you how to maximize your body bags, so I don't think you'll need these.
  • Bag zip line (to river tug)
-For moving upstairs bags, saves you a lot of time and effort, and avoids those pesky stairs that connect upper and Ware House

More to come
I'm lazy about these, so I'll do more latter
just use the standard one...
Loot locations>
Ok, the worse part to make because of so many screenshots... but by far the most useful.
There are 3 main parts of the map where you can grab your sweet loot, I'll be giving names to them, keep in mind that those are my "map call outs"
I have so much ocd that I've named some of them so I could remember their locations.
the names follow as:

  • Upstairs
  • Outside
  • Ware House (WH)

These are in order of my route that I'll teach latter on in this guide.
Weight of the bags, so you know what you are about to get yourself into.
  • No Weight- Coke and Painting, you can run with em'
  • Light Weight- Dinars, You can Jump and walk at normal speed.
  • Medium Weight- Gold, Weapons and server, You walk slowly and can't jump
  • Artifact weight- You are Ducked

Here's the screen shots of all loot locations:
(Some won't have the actual loot shown in the pictures right now. Send those pics in and I'll be sure to include in the guide.)
1.Upstairs
Upstairs

Server: Medium Weight*, can spawn in either of the 2 blue server racks.

Dinars: Light Weight*.

Painting: No Weight* one of many spawn locations.

Crowbar: You need it to open crates.

Dinars: Light Weight*.

Weapons: Medium Weight*.

Coke: No weight*, if a guard has it's back turned to this one you can grab it.

Loot Crate: Can have any type of bag but the server on it.

Painting: No Weight* Can have the painting crate in there.

Weapons Medium Weight* These are in the double door room, besides the corridor that leads to the camera room.

Crowbar Another spawn for it.

Coke: No weight*.

Server: Medium Weight* next pics will be inside the camera room.

Keycard: Camera room Guard drops it 100% of the time.

Dinars: Don't Forget about these...

Painting/Dinar: if you must, use your key card to get em' is still easy to solo the vault, you'll just need some luck to drop a card from a guard.

Loot Crate: Anything but the server can spawn in it. Recommend it only opening at the end,
beacuse there might be nothing in it for your precious keycard.

That is upstairs done with!
Just 2 more areas to go...
2.Outside
Outside
I'll show the container locations here, these should be quite obvious, the number of bags usually ranges from 3-4 bags.

Outback The one way in the back, close to the zip line to river tug.

After outback.

Parkour: Simple jumping puzzle to get to it.

Spools: Generic one in the middle.

First: First one you'll see if you drop from the catwalk area from outside.

SCREW YOU CIVI: Can only be opened from the front, and people love smoking by it...

Generic one at the front.

"The last one": By the back, next to the extra artifact.

50%: The extra artifact container, it has a "50%" chance of spawning, it's either it or more guards on the roof.

Crowbar: Spawns inside the Parkour container

and now to WH
You should be coming from the sewers, again, the pics are in order of my route.
3.Warehouse (WH)
Warehouse (WH)

Coke: Light Weight*, Should be the first thing you see when coming up the ladder.

Weapons: Medium Weight*, Still in the same room.

Coke: Right next to the weapons from the previous pic.

Loot Crate: Anything but the server can be in it.

Coke: No Weight*, Spawns inside the locker(see next pic)

Coke: No Weight*, second and last coke in this room.

Dinars: Light weight*, In the kitchen just after you exit the Locker room, next to a vending machine.

Crowbar: Still in the kitchen, right at the table.

Dinars: On the "computer room" oposit to the kitchen.

???: Maybe dinars spawn in there, I never check.

Dinars, weapons: Requires the keycard try to save it for vault.

Coke: Down the stairs that connect the WH to Upstairs, there's a basement, sometimes a coke spawns there. I call it "Secret coke".

Number One: First crate you'll check, opposite to the vault.

Mountain Dinar: Light Weight* Dinar spawns up in that gap.

Number Two: I usually poop after I pee.

Number 3: idk.

Cave Dinar: Light Weight*, spawns in that crack.

Painting Spawn: No Weight*, When it's not upstairs.

Camera: Grab it from behind, if you didn't shut down cameras yet.

Forklift: Right in the middle, a pain to get it if there's a stationary guard there.

"The last one": In the back of the WH, close to the stairs that go to the catwalk, behind that truck, Artifacts will try to screw you by spawning in there.

Crowbar: Located right after the second thermite paste that you use, to the right.
My Route, Safe bag spots.
Here's my route, what I do to beat this thing solo.
As you previously saw, I do the order-> Upstairs, Outside and WH
WHY?! you might be asking yourself.
Well Upstairs is the most inconsistent of them all, I usually fail at it more than the others.
Another reason for it, is that at 5:10 the fate of the game is decided by RNGesus, May he drop that DUCKING(quack) ARTIFACT!!!. it usually takes about 5 mins to finish it, so I know if I'm going to reset the run or not. I HATE EXTRA GUARDS!!!

UPSTAIRS

Go upstairs trough this alley:
PIC HERE
Grab all your bags and toss em' here:
PIC HERE
If a guard spawns there, tell him to go see if he has a dildo up his ass, and toss the loot here:
PIC HERE
Them after you have all the loot there and the CAMERAS OFF, toss em here:
PIC HERE
Go downstairs, sometimes a ladder spawns, if not, do the "jumping zig zag" Looking at the wall go left to right on those wall props. If the guard is there put a cap on him before you go down(you don't need to bag him!):
PIC HERE

zip line all the bags and be on your marry way to outside:
PIC HERE

OUTSIDE

Do it in whatever order suits you(order on the loot locations is best order), just remember that you can secure loot trough the zip line and the over compound wall assets.
Exit trough a fence cut hop(get onto the ledge that the fence is before cutting it)
PIC HERE

I recommend you do the artifact and "Last one" going up trough the sewers .
PIC HERE
For the artifact jump on top of the brown pallet and grab it from there, so you can exit trough the back and back to the hole you came in.
PIC HERE

WH
Do it in the order as shown in the loot locations
Toss the bags in the sewer hole you came in after doing both thermal pastes.
PIC HERE
Do 20 hours of carrying bags in the sewers to the van and you are home free!
Achievements
Duck me I'll do this latter.
There are plenty of guides you can view for these, just search for the names
How to solo open the vault
OK MATES, YOU'VE MADE THIS FAR
now it's time to get a reward.

Assuming you didn't waste your key card you got from the camera guy, this is going to be easy.
Now it's the waiting game, you can either kill guards right next to the vault when they pass.
PIC HERE
Or you can look for "orange civi"
PIC HERE

Just wait for him to go in one of these locations, and deal with him... bring body bags.
PIC HERE

If you don't have bags, you can tie him and do a bold move of moving him to these safe spots
PIC HERE

Put a keycard in, run and grab the other and put it in in under 10 secs!
move the loot, keep in mid guards do see the vault open, if anything do a ECM rush and deliver your bags.
Tips
Here are some tips:
When you go to take out the camera guy, lock pick the door and as it's opening use it as cover to get close to him and blast him with the judge, this will save you a body bag if you point him towards the back wall.
PIC HERE

More tips to come, I'm lazy...
Skill Build
Some skills that I think you MUST HAVE.
Cat burglar.
if you are like me, this is 100% necessary, I do a ton of jumps in this, only losing Armour will make sure I don't die.
Movement skills:
This includes transporter aced, endurance aced, Sprinter aced, fast hands aced, 1 point in shinoby
and 1 point in run and gun.
Utility skills:
Includes Cleaner aced, sixth sense , ECM specialist aced Hidden blade aced.
The rest is up to you

pretty sure it's all the same loot spots.
And people still use this? I'm impressed.
Mike Shrek Dec 15, 2016 @ 8:07am
can you make one for one down?
Medivacuum Apr 23, 2015 @ 6:42am
You can shoot the cam guy in the head with a rifle/pistol/smg/peashooter and he'll fall out of sight. Saves you a bodybag.

Very nice guide Goldendragon, finally a guide going indepth and much of it is true. Thumbs up for all the work you put in it!

Still some things which might make your guide even more thorough:
- Helicopter is indeed avoidable by standing on the helipad slight to left.
- Don't forget perkdeck Crew chief. It ll give you 50% more stamina.
- Ofc you ll want all fast running, bagging and staminaskills, though its not a must have.
- The preplan isn't the perfect onel imo. If you aim at solo stealth then watch a vid I made a while ago solo 23 bags in under 18 mins. The preplan and a trick (NOT glitch) is included: Shadow solo speedrun
VintageSentry Apr 3, 2015 @ 10:28am
that thing is so fucking useful on DW
22 bags out in 30 mins (with the armor)
retr0  [author] Apr 3, 2015 @ 10:27am
tested and confirmed. this is so cool.
it even has a smal delay when the chopper comes, like it executed the other one first
TSense Apr 3, 2015 @ 9:44am
I heard about that too. If one of the 2 drop points are blocked, the game will send the heli to the other. You have to stand there before Brain says it comes.
VintageSentry Apr 3, 2015 @ 9:03am
love who, me?
aww i love you too (no homo)
