Introduction
Hello, I've been updating this guide as I go along, so please feel free to leave a comment below if there's anything worth noting to add to this guide, and I'll get onto it!

Also, don't forget to leave a rating if this helped you out, you enjoyed the read, or perhaps you're just feeling generous this fine day!

[Update] - A Huge Cheesy Thank You is in Order!
I'd just like to take a minute to thank everyone who has voted and favourited my first ever guide!

I've just checked up on it and over 5,000 unique people have now viewed the guide thanks to all of you lot who have made it popular. I'm glad you've all found it useful and I'm extremely grateful that such a large number of people have seen this and felt it was a worthy contribution to the community.

I look forward to bringing you some more feedback driven and detailed guides during my time on PAYDAY after all the positive feedback I've received for this one!

[Update 2.0] - An Even Bigger Thank You is in Order!
Thanks everyone for over 100 favourites and over 10,000 unique views, I'm glad this is still so popular and is still helping new people to understand the heist better.

And on another note; I'm trying to make good on my promise about more guides, as I've started on one for the Hoxton Revenge heist, so if you found this guide useful, please feel free to give that one a look also! A link to it can be found at the bottom of this guide, just above the comments section.

[Update 3.0] - Where do I Even Begin!?
Thanks again people, 15,000 unique views and 150+ favourites! I can't believe the guide is still this popular! Especially considering that when I made it, I was thinking that it probably wouldn't get much reception, seeing as the heist seems to be made more with ECM rushing in mind, so a guide explaining how to go about stealthing it, would 'SURELY' be classed as pointless, obviously I have been proven wrong!!!

Anyway, I really appreciate all of you people who have favourited and rated the guide, especially after it went from 4/5 stars up to 5/5, don't you lot think I didn't notice that, so thank you everyone!
Important Notes
  • Breaking any glass will trigger the alarm, regardless of if there's an ECM placed.
  • Taking the keys will triggers the C4, everyone should get ready first on Overkill or Death Wish.
  • You only need to park one car to trigger the escape, useful for Death Wish or Tigs mask.
  • Opening doors will extend the AI pathing so that they may go through them when opened.
  • Hacking the wrong computer will trigger the alarm.
  • Cars can only hold 2 players, a driver and a passenger. This is useful for unconfident players.
  • The heist is ECM rushable, just be careful of guards missing shots and breaking glass.
  • The C4 won't detonate until everyone is inside the shop, regardless of getting the keys.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  • 'Point of no return' times
    • Normal: 4 minutes.
    • Hard: 3:10 minutes.
    • Very Hard: 2:30 minutes.
    • Overkill: 2 minutes.
    • Death Wish: 1:30 minutes
Get into the Car Shop
Self explanatory enough. The easiest way I've found so far, is through picking a door or window on the roof. Access to the roof can be found around the back of the store.

Hacking the electrical panels next to the gates will give you access around the back, from there you'll be able to climb the spiral stairs onto the roof, but be warned that a guard can sometimes be guarding the staircase, which on Overkill or Death Wish can be a challenge with all the extra guards walking around the back, if that's the case, perhaps it's worth picking the door on the right side of the building.

You can either pick the door on the left, or the little windows on the right to enter the shop.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The other best way to get around the shop, is to pick the door on the right side of the building if it's not already open. The door itself is past the gate. Beyond the door is a staircase that gives you access to both floors and the roof. But be warned that on Death Wish, it is advised you bring the camera loop if you plan on going this way, as there will be a Titan CCTV camera that will overlook the second door that you need to lockpick to actually get into the store.

Getting past both doors will lead to this staircase, which is very useful for getting around the shop floors.
Find the Storage Room
This will be in the building somewhere, the location of the room will be randomised and can be either upstairs or downstairs.

Find the Manager
This can be tricky, as he can be talking to customers sometimes, which from what I've gathered, he doesn't leave them. This means you'll have to deal with the customers also. Sometimes he can be by himself in the room right next to storage, which is great. But sometimes, he can be with 2 customers in an open area at the very front of the store. For more locations, please refer to the [Manager Locations] section at the bottom.

Go to the Manager's office
This is always in the same spot of the shop. You just need to take the managers keycard, head in and look at the whiteboard to the right of the door. On Death Wish, there's always a guard protecting the Manager's Room, as shown in the Stationary Guards section.
Find the IT Technicians desk
This is what will probably catch most new people out.

In the Managers office, there's a whiteboard with the new employees name on it. This is the desk of the person you're trying to find.

To find the desk, you need to use the names on the cubicles. These are also randomised around the map, meaning David Buono won't always be found in the same place.

Now make sure to hack the right computer, as hacking the wrong one will trigger the alarm, starting the point of no return timer. Also, be warned that the guards appear to be attracted to the sound of the hack and walk over to the computer, which, in turn, leads to them getting alerted when they see it being hacked. If not playing solo, it is recommended that you leave someone to guard the computer and have an ECM on standby.
Planting the C4
Now you need to head back outside to plant the C4, you can leave via the roof stairs at the back if you want, or you can just ECM rush through the store like I did.

Now you just need to plant the C4 on the road.
Getting the Keys
Head back into the shop, go to the storage room again and Bain will have unlocked the numpad for you to use. Head inside and grab the keys from the box on the wall. Grabbing the keys will also trigger the C4 outside to detonate, provided everyone is inside the building.
Steal a Car
Head to the front of the store and take your pick of one of the four cars to steal.
Now for the fun part!
Race the cars through the hole you made with the C4, and start driving towards the dockyard!

Don't worry about crashing the cars, as doing so doesn't affect the money earnt from what I gathered, plus they handle terribley, so kudos to you if you can handle them all the way there.

Tip: The C4 can be delayed by having a player stand outside until everyone has each unlocked and gotten into a car. This can buy precious seconds on Death Wish.
At the Dockyard
Once all that terrible driving over and you're at the dockyard, just drive the car into one of the four containers and press [F] to get out of the car, don't assume it'll get out automatically, like I did for about a minute...
Escape!
Just jump in the van and receive instant gratification.
-------- Additional Information Below --------
Manager Locations
The manager can sometimes be found just walking around the shop, but when he isn't, he'll be in one of the locations listed below.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He can be found in the meeting room on the second floor alongside 2 other civilians.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He can be found at the back of the second floor talking to one civilian. You can see him through the skylights on the roof when he's there, or through the door on the interior stairs.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He can be found in the office to the right of front door stairs, with two other civilians, you can see if he's there first when in casing mode, by walking into the store slightly before masking up.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He can be found talking to two civilians at the front corner of the second floor, you will be able to see him before you even enter the building if he's there.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He can be found in the photocopier room on the second floor by himself. You can see if he's there before entering the shop, by looking for if the room's door it open.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He can be found in the second floor office trying to sell heroin to another civilian.
Stationary Guard Locations
There's always a guard at the stairs at the front door. This is obviously to prevent you from easily waltzing around upstairs without a mask on.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There's sometimes a stationary guard that will spawn at the stairs around the back, on Death Wish, he will spawn here very frequently, along with loads of other guards that will make killing him tricky.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This guard only spawns on Death Wish, but he will watch the managers office and not move, he's definitely the most difficult guard to kill silently, that is, if you're not ECM rushing. It is highly recommended that you or another crew member bring a silenced shotgun so you can blast him out of his annoying spot into a more convenient and quiet location, such as the kitchen or across the floor towards the meeting room if that's not got any civs or guards nearby.
Achievements
There are 4 achievements associated to this heist.

Achievement name & description
Tag, You're It!
‣ In the Car Shop job, be the first player in a four man crew to reach the docks.
  • Easy with a pre-made team, or in a generous public lobby, just ask them to let you finish first.
  • Best attempted on Normal, where you have the most time to escape.
Gone in 240 seconds
‣ In the Car Shop job, complete the heist within 4 minutes.
  • Unlocks the "The Tids" mask.
  • Easiest to do on Normal, as the point of no return is 4 minutes, making the alarm pointless.
  • You can skip finding the manager and just smash the window to get into his office, though this will trigger the alarm, so only do this on Normal or Hard difficulty so you have time to escape.
  • This keeps confusing some people, so I'll note that you're not actually trying to beat the Point of no Return timer, you're trying to beat the game timer in the top-middle of the screen.
High Octane
‣ Complete the Car Shop heist on the Death Wish difficulty.
  • The hardest achivement on this list.
  • If you set off the alarm before 2 people have the car keys, you should restart.
Pink Slip
‣ Enter a drivable vehicle.
  • The easiest achievement on this list.
  • Possibly an unlockable achievement for other heists in the future

There are only 2 assets available for this mission.

Body bags.

Dumpsters
This just adds dumpsters outside, somewhat pointless, as you have some inside just 2 meters away behind a door and one that's in a bit of a pointless spot.

Would've appreciated if you would offer some advice. For example, when the Manager is in the Office room, tying him and the civilian up are not an option as civies passing by will be alerted.

What should someone do when the manager IS out in the open, with civilians? Guards immediately see them, they take forever to move and have awful tracking, and an alerted guard always starts a chain reaction with civilians and other guards.

I'd like this heist a lot more if the player could just bypass the manager thing (via stealth, of course) or if the manager thing was a bit less of a pain to do.

So I'm having problems because if I tie up the manager he doesn't give the keycard and if I kill him he doesn't drop it either. Can you please help me?

In the managers office, it says New employee - then it says the name of the persons computer you have to find
jmjones 11. Juni 2017 um 18:37
On the IT Technician part, the person is literally nowhere. I look at all the cubicles and the little office to the left and he's not even there.
Macaroni Maniac 10. Juni 2017 um 23:47
Is the right computer random, or in a specific spot?
ToFurkie 18. März 2017 um 15:03
Easily, EASILY the worst heist in the entire game. Absolutely screw driving the car. It gives you less than two minutes to drive the car 900m. You crash once or twice? Get bent, you're not finishing the mission. Got the car at the exit but have 4 seconds to get out of the car and on the exit? Screw you, we're gonna fail you if you're on the escape and the timer hits zero. Literally on the exit at 2 seconds left, but the timer hit zero before the mission ended so I failed

Hate this mission and I'm glad I finally beat it on one down. Absolutely awful
