Play SR2 with Hamachi (No Gamespy)
By Luma
Since Gamespy has closed there service it's impossible to play co-op online with gamspy. So you need to make a virtual LAN and I have chosen to use hamachi because its very simple to setup but a bit triggy to make it work with SR2. So I found a video on youtube that shows how to do it and thougt I would share it here on steam since I had alot of trouble finding out how to get it to work.

**Please note that Hamachi is not perfect at all, and I know that many people have problems connecting over hamachi. Another way to create a server is to portforward, but can be very difficult. This guide is just to show how I come around to play with my friends on my own servers. -TY for your understanding.**

Video Guide

Thanks to "OldSchoolMusic4Life's channel" for making this tutorial.

If you follow the instructions in this video you should be able to play co-op online.
Just make a LAN Co-op game from the in-game menu and then get your friend to join your LAN game.
Troubleshooting
If you can't get this to work then be sure you have done the things below:
- Both you and your co-op partner need to do exactly what is done in the video above
- You need to be on the same Hamachi network and have "direct tunnel" (Green dot) to your co-op partner.
- If you have done both of the things above but it still not work, try reboot your computer and try again.
- Try turning off your firewall and try again.
- Try reinstalling Hamachi and do all the steps above again.

If it still not work, feel free to leave a comment below and describe your problem and I will try to find a solution.
HAPPY GAMING!

Just use Evolve. Hamachi is insecure as it is similar to DMZHost.
