Progression & Economy
1. What is a Master Ship and how do I attain it?
In Navy Field 2, you perform “ship research” in order to develop your vessels with better armaments or enhancements. If you complete all of the research for a specific ship (including initial research of the next ships on the ship tree), the ship will obtain “Master Ship” status.

Ships of Master Ship designation provide additional EXP and Credit after battle. You can utilize NF Gold to swap the Master Ship’s EXP to Free EXP used to perform ship research on other ships.

2. What is the difference between Ship EXP and Free EXP?
Ship EXP is obtained following each battle. This EXP is used to perform additional ship research on the currently used ship.

Free EXP is also obtained after each battle and can be used to perform ship research. However, unlike Ship EXP, Free EXP can be used on any ship. Not just the ship that was used in battle.

Remember, you can also utilize NF Gold to swap a Master Ship’s EXP to Free EXP to perform ship research on other ships.

3. How do I teleport my ship?
Base occupation plays a strong part in Navy Field 2. Once your team has successfully occupied at least 2 bases, you can warp from one to the other by clicking the “M” key and then selecting another occupied base while your ship is within a base’s perimeter.

-Your ship must be completely stopped in order to teleport.

-If enemy planes are nearby it may delay teleportation.

-If you teleport to bases, you will able to fire your gun, torps or launch planes without delay.

4. What are the different types of bases and how do I occupy them?
Unique base types exist in order to be utilized for strategic attacks and may offer special abilities. These include:

Air Base: Commanders (flagships) are able to use this function once the team has occupied the base. It provides air recon and air bombing attack. To use this base:

- A shell and binocular icon will appear in the bottom-right corner of the battle screen. Simply click it to use (only commander can use these functions).
- Hit the “M” key to open the map window. The shell and binocular icons will appear allowing you to pinpoint your attack or vision request.

Radar Base: Marks where enemy ships are located in random intervals. Use is automatic.

8. What are the different ship types and roles they play?
Navy Field 2 contains an assortment of ships from various nations and of varied capabilities. Read on for brief details.

DD (Destroyer):
The Destroyer is a small vessel with minimal firepower and strength, but high agility and speed to avoid attack. Its high turning speed allows it to dodge enemy shells and get within torpedo striking range. High level DD can counter against high level submarines through the use of depth charges.

CL (Light Cruiser):
The CL mounts advanced guns compared to DD class. Even so, it still can be out powered by larger ships. Its additional gun mounts allows it to be perfectly suited for anti-aircraft warfare. CLs can utilize mines but cannot use depth charges.

CA (Heavy Cruiser):
By mounting mid-size naval guns with several small caliber naval guns it is the counter ship of approaching DDs and CLs to protect the larger ships. The primary weapons are naval guns, and they serve as the second best ships to occupy the bases after APA.

BB (Battleship):
No ship can challenge a BB’s massive naval gun potential on the battlefield. The battleship makes a formidable foe with heavy firepower and strong ship structure strength. However, its slow overall speed and turning capability makes it a primary target of high level DDs, Submarines, and CVs.

CV (Aircraft Carrier):
Few CVs may mount large caliber naval guns as the primary offense and defense is in the form of multiple fighter and bomber squadrons. The CV can be difficult to master, but can be the decisive ruler of battle once tamed.

SS (Submarine):
The basic tactics of this class is the ambush attack. Extremely powerful torpedoes can sink low level or even mid-level BB classes by one attack attempt with several torpedoes. However, it has very weak armor and low DP, and should avoid enemy DDs.

APA (Landing Boat):
This is the best ship to use to occupy bases. Even though it offers the weakest gun power, the ship offers easy control.

9. What is Officer Morale and how do I utilize it?
Navy Field 2 offers players opportunities to improve battle performance through an officer morale system. An equipped officer’s morale will benefit from each battle win. Maintain high morale to yield the most performance out of your equipped officers.

The following are key steps to utilize the morale system:

1) Morale will increase when you win battles without loss.

2) Load your officer’s information window by right-clicking their portrait.

3) If you wish to take advantage of optional morale boosting items, simply select the empty Item Slot within the officer’s information window.

4) Click the “+” button located at the right of the morale bar to increase your maximum morale with selected items.

10. What are the conditions for battle wins and losses?
The following applies to normal battle rooms:

Win
- All enemy ships are destroyed
- 15 minutes has passed and more players on your team survived.

Lose
- All ally ships are destroyed
- 15 minutes has passed and more players on the enemy team survived.
- Quitting before the round has ended.

Draw
- 15 minutes has passed and each team has the same number of ships remaining.

3) Payments resulting in “chargeback” or misuse of funds will incur fees and/or account disciplinary action.

7. Do players that spend real money gain an advantage?

The simple answer is: No. Players can make use of NF Gold to make their gameplay more comfortable and entertaining, but in the end it will be the players who develop their skills winning the battles.

While we certainly do appreciate your monetary support so we can keep the game running, we ultimately want to provide a fair and enjoyable experience to keep all players coming back for more!

Why is the matchmaking so screwed up that Tier IV ships are repeatedly matched up against Tier IX, X and XI ships? Going up against Tier V and VI ships i can understand, but the higher ones sink Tier IV with one or two salvos while the tier IV barely has a chance of even dealing somewhat severe damage to Tier IX+ before being shot to ribbons.
