Finding a MOD
In Steam, you can click on the “Homeworld Remastered Collection” game to go to the store page for it. On the right of the store page, you will find a “Community Hub” button. Click on that to go to the Community HUB...

On the Community Hub page, you will find a “Workshop” button. Click on that to see the Workshop…

On the Workshop page, move your mouse over the “Browse” drop down list and select “Items” to see the items available on the Workshop…

You can browse through the items on the Workshop. As you move the mouse over each item, it will show you the title and give you a brief description of the MOD…

When you find a MOD that you are interested in, you can click on it to see the item’s page…
Downloading a MOD
To download a MOD, you subscribe to it by clicking the “SUBSCRIBE” button. To later unsubscribe from the MOD, you go back to the item’s page and the SUBSCRIBE button will be an “UNSUBSCRIBE” button which you can click on to remove that item from your game.

After you have subscribed to an item in Workshop, the Steam client application will begin downloading that item. You can see this by moving your mouse over the “LIBRARY” menu option in Steam and click on the “DOWNLOADS” menu item…

You should see the MOD downloading and the description of what’s being downloaded should say “Homeworld Remastered Collection – Workshop Content”…

Launching the game with the MOD
When this download is complete, you can start the game in Steam. In the Launcher, you will see a “MODS” button in the lower right corner…

Click on the “MODS” button to see the MOD selection screen…

On the left you will see buttons to choose between MODS for Homeworld 2 Classic (HW2 Classic) or MODs for Homeworld Remastered (HW Remastered). If you choose Homeworld Remastered, you can choose to load the Homeworld 1 Campaign by checking the “HW1 Campaign” checkbox, or if you want to load the Homeworld 2 Campaign, you can check the “HW2 Campaign” checkbox.
Under “AVAILABLE MODS” you will see a list of MODs that you have subscribed to that have been downloaded to your PC. You can select one of the MODs in that list and click the “SELECT” button to add that MOD to the “SELECTED MODS” list on the right…

Once you’ve added a MOD to the “SELECTED MODS” list, you can click on the “LAUNCH” button to launch the game with the selected MODs.

This allows you to easily pick and choose which MOD to want to play each time you run the game.

You can also enter any additional command line arguments in the “Commandline Arguments” box before you click the “LAUNCH” button. This can be useful to MOD creators that need to provide special arguments to test their MODs before they are released.

This is gold. Step by step guides like this are so useful to new players, by assuming no prior knowledge of the reader you provide a gateway that is healthy to the community and a conduit that encourages questions and engagement. Um.. I wonder if this is a marketing department initiative. Anyone would think a new game is imminent.:steamthis:

Please someone help me... T_T
I'm an Italian player, I've downloaded and selected some mods for HWR: the mods starts fine, but the game text is all messed up, with strings like "$90012" instead of menu commands, "$11003" instead of new ship names, and so on...
I understand that should be something related to the language of the game that is different from the language of the mod.
But for the sake of Sajuuk is there a way to start my game in English, or bypass mod settings with some command line parameters?
Thanks in advance for your answers!
