Although I stopped playing at level 12 because I got tired of reclimbing it all after dying to spikes or bullets I couldn't see before leaping forward. Not sure how I'd fix that... Is there a way of moving the camera forward maybe? Anyway, a cool little game.
Pirate: Constructive criticism is the best thing ever. I agree with almost everything you mentioned. We are putting together a bug fix/balance update and those things are included. The only thing is that most levels are made to be short enough to not need shortcuts (level 5 being one of the longer exceptions). I think I'm going to look into balancing out the longer levels better so that dieing a minute into playing isn't as frustrating. Thanks for the opinions!
- Music is a tad bit too loud. Until you implement options screen, jag down the music.
- Lack of checkpoints. I understand that it's supposed to be hard, but especially level 5 was unforgiving because of level restarting every time I died.
- Underwater spike hitbox felt bit out of place. I sometimes died even though I wasn't touching the spike.
- There should be button for next level that you can press, rather than having to always click it with mouse.
However, this game has potential and I am looking forward for next updates and will surely try them out. Good job!
