E-Card

A psychological card game from the Kaiji series by Nobuyuki Fukumoto.

A two-player game.
The game begins with the players deciding beforehand who will take what deck of five cards.

The three card types are Emperor, Citizen and Slave.

The Emperor has ultimate power to give money and is the most powerful card. It has a 4/5 chance to win.
The Citizen cannot disobey the Emperor because they want money. It loses to the Emperor, but wins against the Slave. If two Citizens are drawn, they are both discarded until either the Emperor or Slave come into play.
The Slave has nothing to lose and has no use of money, therefore it can defeat the Emperor. It has a 1/5 chance to win.

Since it is much harder for the Slave side to win (as Slave cards can only defeat Emperor cards) the players of the Slave side get five times more winnings. Each game is played with 12 matches each match having each player set down one card.
